Field Trip in Nigeria From hiking to Kainji Lake National park Traveling for adventure appeared fascinating to most youth and it was something we could not do without. During my Junior secondary school three examination, just after completion of the examination, all the graduands arranged for a trip to one of the mountains around our school environment. It was fun as we went with us snacks and drinks to entertain ourselves. Music accompanied us to the mountain top and we had our bag packs containing garri and groundnut. We took snapshot and laughed, dance and had to see the Ajaokuta steel company from a height. It was an experience not to be forgotten anytime soon. Another trip that made its way to memory was the two hundred level field trip which was around the school environs at Felele field and later on we used the school bus to convey students to Ajaokuta Steel company for field study. I was born and brought up at Ajaokuta Steel Company but had never had an educative visit before. We were taken to the blast furnace and the production unit. We were briefed on the use of billet for production and safety measures carried out in the production site. The company was actually billion dollars project as several sophisticated machineries were found in every sector. We were perplexed at the achievement of the Shagari Government in setting such investment but the shocking thing is that the company is not producing what it is suppose to produce. With the structures on ground, the steel company can boost of producing every parts of a car and with expertise every types of steel will be fabricated at the company and Nigeria will be a self-sufficient country and the gross domestic product of the nation will be on a high side. It is pathetic that our politicians play politics in every sphere they are, as they have refused to do the right thing in making the company work. A trip to Kainji Lake National park was a blast as we all anticipated towards the trip. We took off for the trip in our three hundred level to Niger state and this one was boom-boom. We took selfie and off we go. On reaching Niger state, we visited the museum there as well and we were made to see the rich cultural heritage of the nation as elephant, monkeys, crocodiles were there in the vicinity. The internal structure comprises taxidermy works of several birds and reptiles. The view was extraordinary as we have never being to such a sight before. The same day we were taken to our place of lodge in preparation for the Kainji Lake National Park experience. The night was a long one, we could not sleep, we gist in our hostel bed that we were given. The boys were placed in hostel bed while the girls were placed in a very comfortable apartment somewhere a bit far from where the boys were lodged as the accommodation in the park was not enough to contain us. The next morning the female folks were brought to join us at the park lodge. We exchange pleasantries and off we go to the park. It was another trip and we all prepared to embark on it. Our big expectation was to see lion in its natural habitat. We were on safari for some time and the most commonest specie of animals found was antelope as it was found in every walking distance. We alighted form the bus with the direction of the park guard. He led the group to a water side were we saw crocodiles in natural habitat. It was as if the crocodiles came out to say good morning to us as they were at the water bank gazing at us. We were earlier given orientation on how to approach a lion paradventure we come across one. We were told that lions in the wild portray territoriality and if we come across it, we are not expected to run from it but use backward movement slowly without turning our back to the lion. The life guard who is familiar with the lion presence will make the lion know that we are friends. We should ensure not to secrete adrenalin as the secretion stimulates interpretation of fear and it makes the lion confuse and afraid as well. We left the crocodile site and kept on walking through a pathway and we saw troops of monkeys moving ahead of us. Several species of birds were seen flying in the air as they were colorful and species that are feared extinct were in the park. Later on, after several educative note on the richness of the park, the species of plants and animals, their botanical and scientific names and relevance we were taken to the park office which had structures for relaxation. There was a table tennis facility, we commenced play and others joined in the swimming pool. It was fun. Who would have thought campus life could have being this fun. Our lecturers mingle with us as friends but not as lecturers. It was as if the trip should last a week but we were heading back in two days’ time. The trip was not over yet, we all anticipated to see lion, we all moved up the park to get to see if we will come across lion, we found elephants walking slowly and we immediately started to ask questions and we were given the best answers to our question. Someone asked is it true that the tongue of a blue whale is heavier than the weight of some elephants. The answer was yes as I had read the piece before then. To some of us, it was the first time to see an elephant for real. We had opportunity to touch the elephant and took selfie with the elephant. We were not able to see lion and time was far spent. We had to leave the park for our hostels. When we arrived the lodge, we were also taken to the museum which was at the lodge where the boys slept. We got to see the cultural heritage of the nation and richness of species recorded there. The skin, mask, skulls of over two hundred species of animals was arranged in various stands. It was a big museum and we took notes. We had to rest, the ladies were taken to their lodge to shower. We the male folks had shower and thereafter we strolled out to get food with our lecturers. It was fun seeing our lecturers relate as though they were students like us. We laughed and smiled as though we were all colleagues. It was an experience not to forget any time soon. We were going to be returning back to campus the next morning. We all prepared for the journey and off we go. We arrived campus successful and we wish we had spent a week there. It was the pioneer set and the department was able to plan for a three day trip.

True Politics Leadership tools Leadership is a ship that one cannot enter without getting set to deal with controversies. At my 200 level after collection of the first association dues, some students started insinuating that the dues were squandered. It was around that period I had my first bike which was actually not yet mine at that point in time, it was like higher purchase. The dues were collected but along side polo where made for every departmental student which was made to be compulsory as the head of the department ensured that she stamped it to be so just as I requested and we all were wearing it every Monday. The polo contract was handled by me, that was where I actually had interest from. The student dues was not spent by any of my EXCOS but some students felt it was. We organize a congress and we came out transparent to give account of the dues collected, the expenses and the present account. Believe me, some students still find it difficult to accept it. As a protagonist, it was eminent that antagonist should be in the department to make me a matured leader. The antagonist was close to me and we spent time together because I felt she should get to know me better and then judge me from that perspective. It worked out to seventy percent. The critics subside as she became a friend. We started working on faculty association. We arranged a meeting to meet with the dean of student who was a simple and easy going man. The mandate to commence the faculty association kick start and we prepared for the constitution and I became the faculty financial secretary. As a faculty, the transparency portrayed at my department allowed that the post of financial secretary be bestowed on me. We were not able to get the Student union early enough to be approved by the university not until when we were in final year that they approved it. We laid good foundation for the next set and the future set and we conducted election as electoral body for the next set to stay in power as we prepare for graduation. If we had gotten the SU before graduation, with my popularity and diligence, the SU president would have had me in the placards even without my endorsement. School politics allowed me to grow in body and soul. I was the shepherd of a flock having elderly men and women, married men, married women far older than I was but it was maturity that kept the ball rolling as the department never suffered at my era.

Disabled but Loved My Relationship experience as a physically challenged At the registration of fresher’s at the department front desk, as the president my sole duty was to welcome the students to the campus and ensure that any inquiries on course registration and challenges they are facing with the registration is answered and the ones that answers are not available at the department front desk , be referred to the necessary body in charge. Another duty to carry out was collection of department dues and issuance of departmental polo and Identity card. My girlfriend officially ended the relationship and for sometime I was single and being single was boring. A fresher took interest in my packaging and she collected my contact and started chatting me up. We constantly meet in class and at times she visited me off campus. One fateful day, she visited and I expressed my feelings to her. Her heart was beating fast and immediately I knew she was also in love with me. We were all around campus, went to eateries together, read together in class. Misunderstanding at times but we resolved it. It was my birthday the following year after the first one which was terrific. This year, I celebrated my birthday for her by buying wine and chops, taking it to her house to host a house party. She was astonished and gave me a warm hug. The house party ended around ten p.m. The moment continued the next day with photo-shoot. She was really relieved of stress as her mathematics coaching in her hundred level courses was done by me. Her departmental course discussion was also made easy as she was also in my department. We continued to grow in love and she shared shocking secret to me of how she was abused when she was a child. She informed me of how a neighbor called uncle who was trusted by many use to abuse her and it went on for years. She complained bitterly on the stigma it leaves on her heart and body till date. My feelings for her increased considering the fact that I get involved in peoples feeling most times even without letting them know. A young lady also had a crush on me but kept it to herself. The very day it was clear to me that I had a crush, it was funny but later on I became interested in knowing her. My friends informed me about it and we all laughed about it. My present date began to draw back from the relationship for reasons best known to her and as a young man who was careless in decision making, I left her to make some decision. She left the relationship without a breakup. I was quick to find out about the lady in person, we got to exchange contact and we started a relationship, she was the very quiet type, beautiful, curvy and secretive. She hardly takes snapshot with me. I was force to ask her if she is hiding the fact that we were dating, she gave a reason that was not clear. She seldom visit and when she does is as if she does not want anyone to know she visited. As a student, I learnt to live with it, after all it was my entire fault not to have fought for the relationship which I had initially before she came into the picture. This relationship was going to end soon, I whispered in my mind, but it turned out to last till the next semester. New students resumed on campus and I conducted the normal routine which was to welcome the students to the campus and ensure that any inquiries on course registration and challenges they are facing with the registration is answered and the ones that answers are not available at the department front desk , be referred to the necessary body in charge. Another duty to carry out was collection of department dues and issuance of departmental polo and Identity card. There was a fresher who came to the registration desk with her mum. Her mum was following her to complete her registration as she travelled down from Jos with her. She was not feeling too comfortable with her mum around. The mum found me interesting and asked to take care of the daughter for her. She traveled back to Jos and the lady was just smiling and looking at me. She was already developing feelings for me which I was very much aware of. We both exchange contact and she constantly called me and I as well called her several times to check on her. Constant checking on her led to her visiting and we accelerated the checking up to a full time relationship as she had the fast heart beat experience upon my asking her to be in a relationship with me. The relationship was a blissful one as she was young, beautiful, respectful and curvy. She spent most of her spare time with me, we read together. We went to eateries together. I was in my final year and was about to write my project when she started misbehaving. Unknown to me, she was threatened by a cultist who was not a student. The cult boy wanted her to be in a relationship but she did not tell me as she was threatened by this cult boy. She narrated the ordeal of how she was almost raped by this cult boy to me, that was when she fully informed me of everything and how long it has being going on. During my 400 level I was no longer the departmental president as I organize election to allow the department elect new EXCO’s for themselves. I became furious on hearing that my woman was in trouble and could not confide in me to defend her. It is a common phenomenon for men to be angry when they are not allowed to defend the people they care about. This period made her distant herself from me because the boy threatened her that they will hurt me. She begged me not to get myself involve in fighting for her and that she will handle the issue. This was the period I started seeing her once in a while. Throughout campus, right from 200 level, there was someone who was special to me. She was nicknamed street by me. She was born and brought up at Kaduna. We were so close to the extent that at times I spend the night at her place. She has a special heart and she is ready to share deep thoughts with me. When we are going out for social gatherings, I will be the one to pick outfit for her and decide on some hairstyle. She has interest in community service and she is a talented master of ceremony (MC). She anchored the FUL got talent along side another student popularly called Expantiate. She also called me street as she express genuine and true friendship with me. Some people suspected that we were dating and was having sexual affair. Believe me, we were just friends. The period of project defense approach and it came to pass and graduation was the next big thing. Can disability stop love? Disability cannot stop anyone from falling deeply in love. Happiness should be principle applied to all physically challenged. Be passionate with what you do and love will always be available. My disabilty made me unique and experienced love from human.

Exceptional Officers Nigeria Awkward Birthday It was my birthday, the norm of students spilling water on celebrant was still on and everyone anticipated pouring water on me on that day. On waking up, Mimi received her first water bath from a neighbor in her lodge and thereafter another came chasing with a full bucket, she ran out of the compound but the chase was not over as she was followed to the veranda. The awkward moment was when another student ran out to pour his own bucket of water on me unknown to me that he mixed the water with Ghana pepper. Immediately the water mixed with Ghana pepper landed on my face, I wailed out with a shout of “pepper”. The pain was excruciating and other student around condemned the act, carried by the student who was just silent at that moment. I was taken to my bathroom to shower with soap and thereafter I slept off for over five hours. The student who sprayed the pepper later came to apologize, immediately he received the forgiveness from me as the whole thing was awkward. That same week, a female friend of mine who was also my departmental student was celebrating her birthday in our lodge. Something unusual happened and she made me angry. I raised my hand and hit her on her face. She became furious and no apology rendered at that time could calm her nerves. She angrily left the house only to return with police van few minutes later. She ordered the police men to arrest me. I followed the police men and they drove me and her to police Area B division around the federal housing area of the state. On arrival at the station, I was made to seat at the counter awaiting the officer on duty to take our case and give me note to write my statement. She was made to write her statement as well. Upon completing my statement, it took the officer another thirty minutes to get us to see the DPO. It was finally our turn; we were invited to his office. The DPO asked us to take our seat. He asked her to narrate her ordeal. After she was done, I was also asked to narrate my own side of the story. The DPO asked me if she was my girlfriend, my respond was no. She was asked as well if I was her giirlfriend, she answered no as well. Again the DPO asked me if I love her, my answer was no. she replied no to the same question when she was asked by the DPO. The DPO asked me to apologize to her; the apology came without hesitation from the bottom of my heart as true feeling of friendship for her was deeply inside of me. She burst into tears; the DPO was watching the drama. She started complaining in tears how much have hurt her; all I could do was to apologize to a friend. The DPO asked her if she want to drop the case and she replied yes. The whole scenario that played out at the station made me to have a different orientation about the Nigeria Police Force. Since that incident, my interests for the police station develop and prayers for the success and protection of the force increased and were genuine. The situation here was completely awkward but played out that lessons were learnt from the way it played out. At times the condition we tag as awkward might just be the stepping stone to a new and changed mindset. My present day life is still influenced by that single act from the DPO at the station years ago. Conclusion We must learn to use the situations we find ourselves well and ensure to apologize to our friends, colleagues, family, relations and neighbors whenever we are wrong and even when they are the ones that wrong us. Forgiveness is paramount in getting our world to reducing conflict. Whenever you find yourself in an awkward position, try to harness the good lessons from it and ensure you regret you’re wrong and work towards a better tomorrow and the sky will be your starting point.

How to clean the Vagina? Let me start with this, VAGINA is not a dirty word. Repeat after me! Feel free to pronounce it anywhere. Mind you, I won't package it for you till it gets rotten, let's open it wide and wild while I drop the bitter truths to your head so the odour of the vagina won't chase men away and makes your beauty horrible. It’s time we all got comfortable with the term vagina and not behave like junior secondary school students. While we’re at it, vulva, labia and clitoris are the major parts. When women absorb the “ick” factor associated with our vaginas, it puts you at a risk of missing out on essential healthcare. VAGINA HEALTH: Hygiene I am a biologist, not a gynaecologist but I love science! Do you really need to wash your vagina? But do you need to wash your vulva? Let us recap some basic anatomy. The vagina is the inner canal inside the female body. The term vulva refers to the outer part around the vagina. These includes; clitoris, clitoral hood, inner and outer labia (vagina lips). Washing the vagina can lead to many problems. You might have heard that the vagina is like a self-cleaning oven. That's a pretty accurate metaphor. The vagina cleans itself and keeps itself healthy by maintaining the correct pH balance and cleaning itself with natural secretions. Vagina contains a lot of “good” bacteria. These bacteria maintain the ideal pH balance which is slightly acidic. The acidic pH makes it hard for “bad” bacteria to infect the vagina. That's why you don't need to clean your vagina? When you use soaps, sprays, or gels and yes, even water to wash inside your vagina, you disrupt the bacterial balance. This can result in bacterial vaginosis, yeast infection, and other irritation. Washing your vagina can also affect your vagina’s ability to clean itself. So if you want a clean vagina, leave it alone to clean itself! What do you need to clean? VULVA. Ok! Let's have the vulva. The vulva is the area of female sex organs that lies outside of the vagina. These organs include folds of sensitive tissue called labia (labia means lips). The labia has two parts. The outermost folds are called labia majora. A second set of fold called labia minora is enclosed within the labia majora. The vulva also contain the mounded area made by the pubic bone (Mons pubis), a small round organ clitoris and the opening of the vagina and urinary canal (urethra). The goal of vulva cleaning is to keep the vulva dry and free from irritants. In this way, you can prevent the vulva from been red, swollen and irritated because many infections enter the vagina through the vulva. How do you wash your vulva? You should wash the vulva with WARM WATER. If you’d like, you can use a mild soap that won’t irritate the skin, but this isn’t necessary. Spread your lips apart and gently clean around the folds, using a clean washcloth or your hands. Avoid getting water or soap inside your vagina. **I REPEAT, AVOID IT, THE SAME WAY YOU CANNOT CLEAN YOUR INTESTINE WITH SOAP, YOU CANNNOT ALSO CLEAN THE VAGINA WITH SOAP.** In addition to washing your vulva, it is a good idea to wash the anus and the area between your vulva and anus every day. DID I JUST SAY ANUS? YES ANUS AUNTY don't be shy and stop disturbing my class. It’s best to wash “front to back” in other words, wash your vulva first and then your anus. Otherwise, bacteria from the anus can spread to your vagina, which can cause infections. Wait, do you even need to use soap? Nope! You don’t have to use soap to wash your vulva, it's not compulsory but just a necessity according to researchers. If you want to use soap, choose a soap that’s unscented, mild, and colorless. Fragnance soap can irritate the sensitive skin in and around the vulva. What about feminine wash or sprays? Most supermarkets have a range of feminine washes and sprays that are said to reduce odor and clean the vagina. Don’t buy these. Like I said, your vagina doesn’t need any of these items to be clean, and it certainly doesn’t need to smell like a rose garden, everything will result to odour eventually. These products were essentially created to prey on people’s insecurities regarding their bodily odors. In truth, these products are both unnecessary and harmful, as they can irritate vulva and vagina. But there’s an odor! Will everyone be able to smell it?Probably not. Your vagina might smell distinctly like a vagina, and that’s OK.It’s unlikely that someone else will be able to smell it unless they’re very close to your vagina... so your sexual partner will probably smell it. But that’s perfectly normal, and it’s not something to worry about. No vagina is odorless, nor should they be. Vaginas have many possible smells, from coppery to sweet. The smell of your vagina might change depending on your diet and menstrual cycle. If the smell is pungent and unpleasant, contact a doctor or other healthcare provider. Certain conditions, such as bacterial vaginosis, can cause your vagina to smell strongly. Your provider can advise you on any next steps. It might not be cleaning issue.More often than not, clear and white discharge is the natural lubrication that your vagina produces to keep the tissues moist and healthy. When you see it, especially when is playing with your breast, you don't have to clean. Clear discharge could also be a result of ovulation. This is just a sign that your vagina is doing its job. You don't need to wash. Do you understand? Before you ask about cleaning during menstruation. Let's touch it. Menstruation is one of the vital processes of a woman's body which deserves utmost caution and self-care. Ensuring proper hygiene during menses, and eating right is the key to ease the pain you go through. Today, on Menstrual Hygiene Day, promise yourself healthy and happy periods with these my few hygiene tips to clean up. Change your sanitary napkin every 4-6 hours-Changing sanitary napkins or tampons within every 4-6 hours is the cardinal rule to establish vaginal hygiene. Menstrual blood, when released from the body attracts various organisms from our bodies, which multiply in the warmth of the blood, and cause irritation, rashes or urinary tract infections. Changing your sanitary napkin or tampon regularly curbs the growth of these organisms and prevents infections. Wash yourself properly: Washing your vulva regularly is extremely important, because the organisms cling to your body after you have removed your sanitary napkin. Most people wash themselves regularly, but not the right way, which is, using your hands in motion from the vagina to the anus, not vice-versa. Motioning your hand from the anus to the vagina can lead to the transmission of the bacteria from the anus into the vagina or urethra opening leading to infections. Don't use soaps or vagina hygiene products: While using menstrual hygiene products everyday is a good idea, using these products during menses can turn things around. Vaginas have their own cleaning mechanism which comes into play during menstrual cycles too, and these artificial hygiene products can hamper the natural process leading to infections and growth of bacteria.Discard the sanitary napkin properly:Disposing off your tampons and sanitary napkins properly is an important step. Wrap them properly before you throw them away, so the bacteria and infections do not spread. Make sure you don't flush them, since that will block the toilet causing the water to back up, spreading the bacteria all over it. Washing your hands properly is of utmost importance after you have wrapped and discarded the used tampons and sanitary napkins, since you're likely to touch the stained area while wrapping them. Stick to one method of sanitation: Women tend to use tampons and sanitary napkins, or two sanitary napkins simultaneously during heavy flow which is an efficient technique. While it may keep you dry and prevent stained clothes, it can cause infections too. The combination of two techniques absorbs the blood making us oblivious to the need to change our tampons and sanitary napkins. Without frequent change, the accumulated blood invites bacteria and causes infections. So, it is advisable to use one sanitary napkin and change it as frequently as you can during heavy flow. These cardinal rules will help you stay healthy and manage your period better. Now generally: What about douching? Vaginal douching involves squirting a solution into the vagina, usually with the intention of cleaning the vagina. This doesn’t work and isn’t safe. Remember the “good” bacteria mentioned earlier? Douches, like soaps, can irritate and kill off that good bacteria, leaving your vagina more vulnerable to infection. There are a number of complications related to douches, from STI susceptibility to problems with pregnancy. In short, douching doesn’t make for a healthy cleaning. Like fragranced feminine washes, they’re unnecessary and harmful Shaving as cleaning. If you decide to shave, no matter which body part it is that you're shaving, 99% of times, the process is pretty intuitive. But that 1% comes into play when we're talking pubic hair. If you're wondering how to shave pubic hair, you're not alone. There's noticeably less info out there for shaving down there than there is about shaving other body hair. When shaving pubic hair, you're dealing with a sensitive area so you'd definitely want to keep a few tips in mind. In the interest of making sure you're shaving safely and effectively, here's a step-by-step guide for how to shave pubic hair from start to finish. Plus, advice from doctors on what to do if something goes wrong (from nicks and cuts to pesky ingrown hairs). 1. Trim Your Pubic Hair Shaving your pubic area is easier when you've already trimmed off any excess hair. Grab a pair of small scissors or a hair trimmer and cut your pubic hair so it's only a few centimeters long. 2. Exfoliate the Skin Use a loofah, washcloth, or exfoliating sponge to gently exfoliate your skin before shaving. Exfoliating will remove any dead skin and allow you to shave the hair as near to the root as possible. Harsh exfoliants aren't necessary and can actually do more harm than good in your pubic area. A simple scrub-down is all you need. 3. Apply Shaving Cream Apply a generous amount of shaving cream to the areas you want to shave. It's best to use fragrance-free shaving cream on the area, as creams with fragrance can irritate the delicate skin. 4. Shave in the Direction of Hair Growth Pull the skin taut and shave in the direction of your hair growth to avoid irritating the hair follicle. 5. Rinse Away the Cream Rinse away any excess shaving cream with warm water and gently dry off. 6. Moisturize with a Fragrance-Free Lotion Follow up shaving by moisturizing with a fragrance-free lotion. If you're about to get dressed and go out, you can also put on a powder-like Gold Bond Powder to prevent rubbing or chafing (talc-based powders or baby powder are not recommended). Let me give some few tips for vulva cleaning as I relax my fingers:Use warm water to wash the vulva like I said. Dry thoroughly with a clean towel. (If the vulva is very irritated, you can try drying it with a blow dryer set on cool.) The vagina cleanses itself naturally in the form of normal, vaginal discharge. Avoid using douches unless prescribed by your physician. These products can upset the natural balance of organisms. Like I said. Wear only white, 100 percent cotton underwear. Avoid wearing nylon, acetate, or other manmade fibers if you have delicate skin or are prone to vulvar irritation.Avoid wearing thongs.Rinse underclothes carefully after washing or double-rinse. Avoid using too much laundry detergent.Wash new underclothes before wearing.Use a mild soap (such as Woolite®) for washing underclothes. Avoid fabric softeners (including dryer sheets) and detergents with enzymes (amylase, lipase, protease and cellulose). Use soft toilet tissue (white only).Use tampons instead of sanitary napkins to control menstrual bleeding. (Do not use deodorant tampons.) Do not leave tampons in for a long period, due to toxic shock syndrome. Do not leave tampons in all night. Conclusion Don't scratch. Avoid wearing nylon pantyhose or panty girdles. They trap heat and moisture, providing an ideal breeding environment for organisms. When nylons or leggings are required, wear cotton or nylons with a cotton panty.Avoid these feminine hygiene products, which can irritate the vulva: sanitary pads, feminine spray and deodorants, scented oils, bubble baths, bath oils, talc or powder.

The full Experience What we Need, what we get The entire life of an individual encompasses several trials; difficult situations which make people feel uncomfortable with life factor. Considering our world, we see that growing up in our society comes with various pictures, for the well to do kids, the picture is snapshot with scanty breast milk, British canned milk, Scotland wears, Ibadan packaged beverages etc. The average kids get pictures of average breast milk, Lagos milk, Ogun state processed cowbell; the poor kids grow up with reality of constant breast milk, as they suck out the living day out of their mum. The behavior of people differs as the environment where they grow affects their lifestyle a long way. Three factors to be considered which affect the lifestyle of human are gene, lifestyle and environment. Everyone need something special, no one wants to be regarded as a dullard. A girl needs recognition, a boy as well needs recognition, a man needs recognition, so does a woman needs recognition. It is paramount that we place ourselves in the shoes of others to understand life. In our world, everyone desires to be a super hero, but not everyone becomes one. Most times what we need, we do not get, what we get, we do not need. The bottom line is “What we need may not need us”. Growing Up Growing up, I dislike teaching but climbing the ladder of success, there is an eye opener that everyone is a born teacher. A teacher is That Educator And Counselor Helping Everyone Rise- (Ndoma 2019). Right from the period of conception, a mother help the child rise, correct the child, teach the child how to be quiet, when to sleep, how to eat, what to eat, just but to mention a few. The father corrects the child, either permissive, authoritarian; he ensures there is home training at home. The environment contributes greatly in influencing a child behavior. Take for instance triplet born in a particular country and they were separated to three different countries two months after their birth. If the triplet are left to grow up in these three separate countries and they are allowed to spend twenty years in their separate countries before they are brought together, there will be notice of great differences in their phenotypical appearance, and behavior, which implies that environment contribute to the growing of a child. My family hails from Nigeria, my dad was a civil servant who retired from service in 2017. I was born in Akparabong, Ikom Local government area but was raised in Ajaokuta steel company. I commenced my primary school education at Asco Staff Primary School 2 and for me playing was something that kept the body and soul. The year 1995 was a tough year for my family, as I underwent operation on Osteomyelitis at Fuga hospital, Edo State. My left leg was now shorter than the right leg and I live with the stigma till date. The disability actually made me special in a lot of ways. In my primary school, I was actually one of the best stunt boys as we partook in various kinds of stunts ranging from back-lift, cartwheel and somersault. I recalled one naughty experience when I was in year 5 when a friend of mine asked me to help him write a love letter to be sent to a beautiful classmate of ours that he had a crush on. I took my pen and constructed the love piece for him. He delivered the letter to the damsel and the damsel delivered it to our class teacher, our class teacher in turn delivered it on the assembly ground. I was flogged ten strokes of cane while he was flogged five strokes of the cane. The whole scenario made me realize that I was actually the perpetrator as the letter was in my handwriting. I learnt a big lesson from that experience. The comm0n entrance examination form to Secondary school started selling and majority of my friends bought the form and moved to JSS 1. I completed my year six before taking the entrance examination as my dad insisted that completing the school year would make my foundation stronger. Junior secondary school admitted me in the year 2004 with academics and fun environment. The school compound was a large one containing a standard football field, basketball court, Tennis court, Volleyball court and a special discovered playground called sloppy. The sloppy was the best place to be for all Junior Secondary boys as we use planks and Iron collected from old lockers to carry out the fun-sport. The sloppy is an angle which was created by the inter-logged arranged around the court which came with height; we place planks and Iron rod at the peak and slope downwards joyfully. Almost all students participating in sloppy had their pants patched. At JSS 3, I had a crush on a Muslim girl and decided to approach her, we became friends and I spent time talking to her. That was my first time of having an official female friend apart from the environment friends that were in our neighborhood. The holiday for the junior secondary school was one of the longest holidays in our school days and it was the period to raise money. The hoe and cutlass became my regular tools as I had endurance to till the soil. Labor Job was issued to me and went with friends to the farmland to till the soil at times. The money made this period covered up for clothes, football and chops. The joy of making my own money was a big accomplishment. That holiday, another date which was a part-time date as the lady in question was interested in dating my friend but my friend was not interested in dating her. I was the initial middle man, and strategically made the date a part-time date as I spent most of the time with the lady. JDP estate located in Ajaokuta was the environment of growing up and several ethnic groups were in the vicinity. There was unity in diversity. My childhood friends were from Yoruba, Tiv, Ebira, Igbo. The activities in my growing environment features Morning Prayer, trekking to school, closure from school, afternoon food (bean), afternoon football (one touch), evening football (estate mini field), evening food, night movies and bed time. This routine went on for a long time. During the junior secondary examination, the routine for night switching of television, which my dad always kick against assisted in my study which was tagged Till Day Break (TDB). Senior secondary placed me in science class and only one among my childhood friends was able to be with me in science class. The friendship bond began to reduce as two among the four of us were in art and I and Teryima were in science. Academic consciousness was dawn on me and Further Mathematics was among the subjects registered. An ugly incidence played out one fateful day. The norm of the school was that prep is compulsory. Teachers do not teach during prep, students are to read on their own and update their notes during prep. For some of us, it was a boring idea. On that fateful day, I decided to skip prep but I was caught by the Vice principal on flying over the second gate. Other of my fellow defaulters ran away but I could not as my physique was a barrier. It was an embarrassing day for me and I regretted it. I was to be suspended but was given grace to mention names of all defaulters and fence flyers. The names of over twenty five students were in my list as I submitted to the Vice Principal Admin who announced the names on the assembly ground. We had females among us and they were regarded as the queens. It was hilarious to the student on the assembly ground but it was embarrassing to us standing in front. Strokes of cane lashed our back and buttocks and clearing of school compound were apportioned to us for a week. I wish I had stayed in my class that day and do my normal reading. My friends who convinced me to join them escaped and I did not write their names among the list, but they did assist me in clearing of the school. The Encounter The assembly show of the prep defaulters made the Vice Principal Academy to pick interest in me and she started follow up and invited me to a discipleship class in her office. It was now part of my time table to join discipleship class every week in her office. The son of the Vice Principal Academy was in my class and he attends the class as well. Bolu Alao, Idongesit were two major Christian friends who contributed in the stepping stone to my Christian journey. I started attending Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS) every Friday immediately after school. Some of my friends attended Deeper Life Student Organization (DLSO) which was outside the school. The West African Examination was fast approaching and mathematics was easy for me unlike other students who were scared of mathematics. I nurtured fear of backsliding during the examination due to the fact that students will expect me to answer questions for them during the examination and refusal is not something I can oblige. Bolu was use to covering of his work right from time and everyone knew him for that and he was good in mathematics but for me, covering my work and not helping friends in the examination made me worried. The day came and my fears overpower me and the examination saw the likes of me helping others. The result of the West African Examination was out and the result was excellent. The National Examination was released as well and the result was excellent.

Recovery of oocyst and eggs of helminths on the soles of shoes Abstract A survey of helminth parasites on the soles of shoes of staff and students of Federal University Lokoja campus was undertaken between March and April 2016. A total of 120 swabs were obtained from 60 pairs of shoes which comprise 25 pairs from staff and 35 pairs from the students of Federal university Lokoja. The samples were examined for egg, cysts and oocysts of parasites. Out of 120 samples, 22 (18.3%) were positive for helminthiasis while 98 (81.7%) were negative. Four species of helminths were encountered. The parasites encountered out of the whole sample (120) were *Ascaris lumbricoides* 9 (35.9%), *Trichuris trichuira* 7 (5.8%), *Fasciolopsis sp* 4 (3.3%) and Hookworm 2 (1.7%). One specie of *Taenia* eggs was observed. The most prevalent parasite was *Ascaris lumbricoides* with a total of 9 (35.9%) out of the 22 positive prevalence, with total of 6 (22.3%) species of *Ascaris lumbricoides* encountered from the soles of shoes of the students, while 6 (5%) prevalence was encountered from the soles of shoes of staff indicating that the students were more exposed to the parasites as a result of trekking. The low prevalence of parasites observed on the soles of shoes examined among staff and students on Adankolo campus of Federal University Lokoja might be linked to the fact that the campus is interlock. The study recommends improved sanitation to reduce incidences of parasitic infection. Recommendation From the study, it may be recommended that more enlightenment should be targeted at the public especially the rural dwellers as well as University campuses to caution wearing shoes that are worn at offices and public places into rooms. We are urged to have disinfectant foot mat at our door steps to avoid visitors that come in with their shoes especially cover shoes into the sitting rooms so that little children do not pick the ova of helminths from the floor. It is also important that refuse dumping, excreta, wastes and other debris should be prohibited on campus with greater consideration within the metropolis. The study recommends proper hygiene by students and staff when eating, it is to endeavour that washing of hands thoroughly before eating in other to avoid transmission of the parasite after contact with the shoe when pulling it off. Conclusion The practice of carelessly using our hands to scrub the soles of our shoes when taking it off and wearing that shoe that have been worn outside in the sitting rooms are possible means of transmitting helminths eggs and oocysts to cause intestinal infections. The need to therefore put issues of public health in place and sensitizing students and staff on campus and globally on the importance of a "a healthy shoe, a healthy home" is paramount. My Introduction to Bitcoin Cash and Read Cash Community I'm a beginner at BCH but I am enthusiastic to use it for transactions. INTRODUCTION Hi, my name is Ndoma Osowoaji Takim. I am a graduate of Biology from Federal University Lokoja. I am a teacher, a skilled biologist and a certified teacher under Education Development Academy, a body certified by Professional Teachers' Council. I was born in Ikom, Cross River State, Nigeria on 28th April, 1992. I am from a family of 10. I grew up with my dad, mum, 8 siblings, five ladies and three males. My family showed me love as I was diagnosed of osteomyelitis at age three. My femur got worse having fluid resulting in swollen thigh. After several hospitals tried to stop the worsen situation, I was finally operated at Fuga Hospital, Edo state, Nigeria. My mum was in the hospital for nine months and she delivered my younger sister at the hospital where I was hospitalized for nine months. I was administered anaesthetic injection and I was having fifty percent chance of survival. I survived but with a shorter left thigh. Today, while walking, I limp but this has not prevented me from achieving almost everything men of my status can achieve. Upon graduation from secondary school, I was admitted at Federal University Lokoja. I am outspoken and a lover of humanity. This attribute earned me the position of departmental pioneer president. As a president, I learned and contributed greatly to the progress of my department and the campus. I conducted several microscopy studies during and after my university days. I graduated from Federal University Lokoja in the year 2016 as departmental third best student bagging a second class upper. Upon graduation I served Nigeria as a corps member at Zamfara state. My service year was educative as I was a science teacher at Government Girls Day Secondary School, Samaru, Gusau, Zamfara, Nigeria. After my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), I relocated to Abuja in search of biologist job, but all to no avail. I took up teaching job, since I have passion for it. I have applied for my masters programme at over six schools in United kingdom namely; University of Surrey, Cranfield Univeristy, Bangor University, Aberystwyth University, University of Leeds, University of Strathclyde have all offered me conditional admission to study for masters upon uploading my transcript to their portal. My challenge is scholarship to pursue my programme. I have applied for common wealth scholarship, PTDF scholarship to cover up for the fees, feeding and travel expenses but they have proven futile at the moment. Ahmadu Bello University has offered me admission. I have started registration but I was not able to continue due to finance. I was offered MSc. Zoology at ABU zaira, Nigeria. Currently, I have applied for my masters programme at University of Abuja. I am hopeful that I will have funds to be able to run the programme.
