Everyone has Expectations

This is very true because in life, everyone has expectations; We all have something we want to be, something we want to have, something that can make us happy for the rest of our lives, but we failed to understand God is the only decider of our lives.
Growing up, we all would come together as friends to talk about our future. What we want from a guy who will be our husbands, the qualities we desire in them and their personalities. We would then laugh it out and at the end say something to close our discussion which is "Amen". But God has something different for us. Our expectation is different from His and so, we tend to be sad when we finally get something different from what we have already planned for. Should we say God is wicked? Should we conclude He doesn't want something good for us? Then, I never knew what fate or destiny is. God has created us wonderfully and beautifully and in fact, He made us just like His own image. Just imagine the kind of beauty we all possess and the right we have in Him. Many of us have derailed from His path and thereby working only at our own expectations not minding if they would work for us or not. Whether it is something that would harm us in the end, we don't want to know. All we want is to live happily and meet those expectations and we forget God is the sole determinant of our lives. Our fate is clinged to Him, that no matter how far we go in life, we would still come back to what our fate has been subjected to. We can't go past our destiny. What has already been will be and nothing can change that unless we want to change it which will cost us our dear lives. *In Jeremiah 29:11, it says* **"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end".** Even when we expect so much for ourselves and we want them at all cost, though we fail to realize the implications of it but the above scripture should make us understand how loving God is to us. This is His promise to us, only if we can see the good things in there for us. God will never say a thing and not bring to pass. He knows us right from birth, He knows what we need at the right time. So even if we keep expecting some things for ourselves and He sees danger ahead of it, He brings up His own plans to avert the one we have chosen for ourselves. Let me share a true life discussion between I and my elder sister that opened my eyes to understand that no matter what we want for ourselves, without God putting a hand in it, His own will surely prevail. It was an early morning, I was discussing an issue with my sister and somehow we ended up talking about our marital status. She asked if I had a boyfriend yet which I replied and told her No. She advised me to keep praying and let God do His will. Then she was like *"God has answered me but he is not the kind of man I want. Though I have no choice because God has spoken even though I still don't expect this".* All I could tell her was "Sis, don't worry. If God is the one that gave you the man, then he is for you. You may not know now, but later you will understand". I said in my mind **"Happiness and Peace are what that matters".** We want our own special being, thing etc but have we ever asked this question to ourselves **"Will I find Joy in this?"** If God isn't involve in your dealings, trust me, it's like taking yourself to a dark room, lock yourself inside and throw away the keys. How do you get out? That's danger you know? This is how it would be when you follow your expectations without waiting to let God lead you. Danger is lurking around you because sooner or later, even though it takes a long while, destiny will speak. Only God can decide for you. Your Yes is a No for God. **In Conclusion;** He knows us even before we were born (Jeremiah 1:5) and knows what best is for us. When we expect something for ourselves, God has a bigger expectations for us which will surely come to pass if only we hold onto Him and be Patience.

Before I formed thee, I know thee. God knows and sees everything. We worry about everything when we should just rest in His warm embrace. The good and perfect gifts come from God, that's what the Bible says. It is good to have expectations but it should stop us from trusting God nonetheless to either fulfil them or go a step further or do something way better in the end.
Exactly. God knows everything we need and when we trust Him, He will never disappoint us. We should keep expecting from God instead of relying on our own expectations which might not come to pass at the end.
Absolutely. God above all, dear.
Before God will granted our great plans on how we wanted to be and our desire for something we need , He will put us into long trial, He will test our patience but don't worry ,He is in control of everything and we need to trust His proccess as you said in your conclusion He knows us better before we were born.
Yes, we need to be patience because He will never put us into a trial we can't handle. We should trust Him and everything will be good for us
Sometimes God will destroy your olans because it's not good for you. And I believe that every plan I made that didn't reached was because He wants me better and He have something better for me. After all, God's plan is better than mine. ☺️
I am impressed with what you have said here. This means you prefer His plans to yours which is the best.
Thank you. It's what I am believing since before. For me bot to be disappointed everytime that I won't reach some of my plans as a person. ☺️
God knows our frame, he know what we desire and how he would go about it. Once you have a plan, involve God in it, then He will see to it that it is met. Also, God has a plan for us, we may ask amiss because we don't know the mind of God.
You are very right. We need to always involve God into everything we do and He will work all things out well for us. Thank you for stopping by
