When I do covers, sometimes I spend more time on them than others. This Green Day cover of "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," was one like that. I think in part because I really liked the song, so it was a lot of fun to play and unlike some others, tried to get as close to the original recording as possible. Did this one back in 2004. When I do these, it's all me. All bass parts, guitar parts, and my attempt at singing. The only instrument that is not me is of course the drums. When I did this one I programmed the drum patterns into FruityLoops, which is just a musical software. The drums usually take me the longest to do. Anyway, I had a TON of fun doing this as I recall, and might even be one of my best covers. But I will let you be the judge of that. https://soundcloud.com/porwest/jim-bauer-boulevard-of-broken-dreams-greenday-cover

Love the band. Big 'Dookie' fan here. The other releases are more misses for me than hits.
I really like "Wake Me Up When September Ends." Just one of those songs.
I like the song but have grown tired of it. Way overplayed when it is September.
lol. Never thought about that. But you are right.
Just mentioned this in the group chat with my work colleagues. We are expecting a tough September with the chagnes that are happening at work. Got a couple of chuckles. LOL!
