There isn't a Halloween complete without watching the famous Bobby Pickett's "Monster Mash," from his appearance on American Bandstand in 1964 hosted by Dick Clark. I am sure that back in 1964 this was something a bit "cutting edge," and of course we all know that Pickett was just having fun with his song and his act. But I am sure today a performance such as this might have a different sort of reaction and fanfare. It is extremely difficult not to laugh and giggle a bit when you watch the video as Bobby Pickett contorts his face and tries to be a monster through the song. But hey, it was 1964. And the song has been played hundreds of millions, if not billions of times, and so for whatever it is worth, one can only call the entire thing a complete success that we still enjoy today in 2021. https://youtu.be/vNuVifA7DSU

You can add some interesting trivia to this song. Supposedly Tammy Baker had an "infatuation", (emotional affair?), with Gary S. Paxton, the producer of this song, while still married to Jim. All of us are all too human.
I did not know this, so thanks for adding this little tidbit. Yes, human is human with all the flaws that come along with that.
