Of course after I wrote this article this morning Rivian stock would tank in after hours trading due to them reporting that the 150,000 vehicles by 2023 would actually only be 25,000. That is not good news, even for one like me who is still long on Rivian. I am not happy with the news. But I also still believe in the company and believe in that time honored thought of "slow and steady wins the race." Hey, at least they were honest about their ability to fulfill orders. I can give them credit for at least that. And the investor reaction certainly offers me an opportunity to cash in on what I believe to be a massive overreaction to the news that does not reflect the future value of the brand or the company itself. No. I think it has more to do with supply chain issues more than anything, and perhaps production capacity.
