Went for a Memorial weekend getaway to the Kansas City area for some gambling and to celebrate my wife and my 15th wedding anniversary. Brought mom along with us since it is always fun for us and her. Stayed at a hotel that was converted from an old high school in Leavenworth called Local which is part of the Wydham Trademark brand hotels. Didn't do too bad. I came out ahead over $400. Perhaps the highlight was Sunday night when we got back from Harrah's and mom tripped over a curb stop in the parking lot of the hotel, face planted and broke her nose. 🤦♂️

Oh God hope she's better now. I thought it was a happy weekend, but the worst part was in the end
Yeah, that was most certainly not the best way to end the trip. But it is what it is, I suppose.
