I did not do a good deed today. But I did do the right thing. I was peeking around my notifications and noticed that another member tipped me $18. I had to do a double take because that just seemed a bit off to me. I knew this had to be a mistake. So, rather than simply run off with my new found loot, I decided to ask the person. "Hey, that tip. Did you mean to tip me that much?" Of course, the answer was no. So, without hesitation, I returned the money to the person who mistakenly tipped me. Do I expect any accolades for doing that? No. Am I looking for a pat on the back? No. At the end of the day I think what makes this community great, and what can make it better, is honesty and integrity on the part of all of us who make this community what it is. Be thoughtful, be kind, be human... And most of all, don't be greedy. If the heart tip doesn't tip, maybe toss a little tip out of your own pocket. Not every time. Only when it warrants it. But it does feel good to give a little back. And if someone makes a mistake and tips a wild amount, don't hesitate to go to them and ask if they meant to do it or if they made an error. The contributions we make within this community is more than just collecting BCH and making posts. It's about US. PEOPLE. Sharing, caring, and making the world just a little bit better AND maybe just a little bit richer while we're at it.
