Dude, if you put something on Spotify, then those of us who don't have and don't want a Spotify account won't be able to listen to it. :-( Now if all the "cool" people already have Spotify accounts, and the only ones missing out are gumpy old men such as myself who are too stubborn and set in their ways to try anything new, then nevermind.
I do it mainly to help some of these smaller, emerging and lesser known bands get a little extra exposure, and a few extra streams. But I do realize not everyone will have Spotify, and won't want it even though it is free. I might switch back to just sharing them on YouTube. :)
Once again, it should be based on the preferences of your audience. I have to assume your primary audience is not stubborn old men who are set in their ways, and ain't changing for nobody or nothin'!
