Not everything is good. Heck, to some extent, even what MIGHT be good, isn't all that good. But does that make sharing anything, good or bad, any less fun? I don't even think being necessarily good is important now as much as it was before the Internet came around and offered everyone an opportunity to share what they do. Be it art, music, funny videos, writing...whatever it is that people like to share. Sharing is fun. Plain and simple. And that is why I do it. No matter what I share, including when I share my musical escapades. Both the original stuff or the sad attempts at covers. It is just fun. I also do enjoy the commentary that comes from it from time to time. Some of them are actually pretty funny. And even the real insults lobbed can be fun too. Because I never take myself too seriously as a general rule. I think that's actually a healthy attitude to have. It keeps you humble. It keeps you grounded. It's keeps you real. It keeps you honest with yourself. So, with all that said, I share a song I wrote early in 2019 and drug my wife in to help sing the chorus. The purpose of writing the song? Quite simply I had just bought a drum kit and wanted to play around with that a little bit. What better way to do that than to write a quick song. It didn't have to be good. And in my opinion it wasn't. It just had to be something to bang on the drums a bit to. And I recorded it. For whatever it was worth. An experiment that should never ever see the light of day, but that I spent time on nonetheless, and decided to let people hear it if they wanted to. I give you, "Epic," which is FAR from Epic. But was simply fun to do and equally fun to share. Have a listen if you'd like. But please do not trash your computer to stop it. Just use the STOP button. It is a much cheaper option. :) https://soundcloud.com/porwest/epic
