Strategy
My strategy was to use the powerful sneak attack from behind, while having two strong healthy units in front to buy time. Along with the healing ability of Crustacean King, I was able to do that and win this match. The card itself costs around $0.02 in the current market, making it a valuable but cheap card.
Splinterlands: Play-to-Earn
I've only put $10 to be able to start to play, but as you can see, I've managed to earn a value of around $34 in a couple of months (and I play only like 15 minutes a day). The higher rank you become, the more chests you can win in the daily rewards, as well as season rewards (which reset every 15 days). Sometimes, I get legendary or gold card drops which are worth even $5, so it's all about luck at the end of the day!
Earthly Wonders (Poem)

taking long walks,
leaving footprints in sand,

I write about
how I curl

First Perfect Match!
Perfect Match
I finally had my first perfect match (no losses) in Storybook Brawl. With the Sad Dracula* Hero, I was able to use Slay ability to spiral out of control. One of my early treasures was getting +1 gold with each slay, and all that gold was able to help me get more rerolls.
Sad Dracula
Sad Dracula's hero ability is that if the front row characters attack and kill, they trigger *Slay: +1 permanent attack*. This allows all four front characters to Trigger Slay and any additional bonuses, such as the treasure discussed earlier.
Early Spike
One of my earliest spikes is from using Polywoggle. When Polywoggle slays an enemy, it transforms into something 1 level higher than your Hero. Thus, while at lvl 3, I was able to get a Chupacaba (or however you spell it), which has a Slay ability of +1/+2 permanently. Tus, it was able to get stacked into the 117/111 creature you see on screen.
Is Re-Publishing Own Content Frowned Upon?

Hi all! I'm a poet/writer who has been on Steem and Hive for a long time, and I have also published poetry (and a couple of collections) in the classical fashion as well. I was wondering if, re-posting certain poems (which I wrote and have publication rights of) would be frowned up, or whether I should only post original content that is previously unpublished.
The Issue of Publication Rights
Most journals / publishers are very iffy about publication rights, and rarely accept any writing that has been already posted online or published elsewhere. It's a double-edged sword, because if you keep submitting without getting published, your art is dying alone. But if you decide to share it with readers online, you're practically killing your chances for that poem to ever be published. Especially when looking at larger publications, the last thing I want to do is lose opportunities.
I would appreciate your opinion on this! Regardless, I will definitely be on read.cash to post more frequently, but whether that's poetry or other is yet to be decided.

Luca is a Queer Movie. Here's Why
*Note*: this post contains movie spoilers.
Luca, the new Pixar Movie
Luca is a sea-monster that lives in the sea, specifically in an Italian Riviera. In the sea bed he starts finding human items, which peaked his interest. You see, the sea monsters can transform into humans if they leave the ocean, but his parents forbid him from every doing 'the change.' And I wouldn't blame his parents, since the humans in the nearby village where sea-monster hunters. Regardless, Luca meets a new friend, Bruno, who takes him to the surface and he teaches him how to do human stuff, like walking.
Hiding an Identity
With the risk of being hunted for who they are, when they visit Portorosso, they attempt to blend in as human kids. This is perhaps one of the strongest synonyms to being queer - most of us have had to act straight, or at least try to not reveal our true colours to avoid any unwanted attention. And perhaps some may think that this is an over exaggeration, however LGBTQIA+ people (particularly trans women) are more likely to victims of violence and murder.
"But Luca and Bruno do not have a relationship!!"
One of the most common counter-arguments that Luca is a queer movie is that the children did not have any sort of romantic relationship. Whilst this may be true, perhaps it's good to remind people that queer kids were kids too, even if they only had platonic relationships with each other as children.
Speaking for myself, due to similar interests like the Eurovision (if you don't know what it is, well, it's like the Olympics for Music with dramatic staging and performances), most of my childhood male friends tended to be more effeminate. I'm not shocked that some of my closest friends from school turned out to also be queer. Hence, I think it is logically obvious that characters do not require same-sex romantic relationships to be queer - although it's high time that media focus on representations with healthy relationships too, and not just toying with queer identities in a palatable form for homophobes.
The Lesbian Couple
When Luca and Bruno first go into Portorosso, two of the town characters are a pair of elder women. There is no direct romantic interaction between the two, but (spoiler alert), after the loved Luca and Bruno are discovered to be sea-monsters and the town accepts them, this couple reveal their true colours and transform into sea-monsters as well. This is very synonymous to a lot of the elder queer generation who have suppressed their identity and relationships for decades, but were able to come out recently and even get married.
Pride
As a viewer, the strongest messages I found in the movie that of Pride. Luca's mother comes around in the end, realising she was strict - yes, the world is dangerous out there, but Luca was able to find people who will not hurt him for being who he is. Moreover, the movie did get released during Pride month, so if you want to believe that Luca is a queer movie, don't let anyone convince you otherwise.
