5 reasons to avoid dogecoin like a disaster. **The world's hottest cryptocurrency has the look of a pump-and-dump asset.** Whether you're a new investor or someone who's been putting their money to work on Wall Street for years, there's always something new and interesting to see. Last year, it was the unsimilar uncertainty that arose from a once-in-a-century pandemic. In 2021, it's been the rise of the retail investor. While a lot of retail investors have been focusing on stocks with high level of start interest e.g., **GameStop** and **AMC Entertainment** -- I have also witnessed a huge bump in  cryptocurrency valuations as a result of young investors putting their money to work. In recent weeks, **Bitcoin** (crypto:BTC), the world's largest digital currency, nearly hit $65,000, while **Ethereum** surpassed $2,600. But it's not Bitcoin or Ethereum that are creating the loudest buzz among crypto enthusiasts at the moment. That title belongs to **Dogecoin** (Crypto:Doge). At one point last week, Dogecoin tokens were going for north of $0.43. That may not sound like a lot, but it gave the digital currency a market cap of more than $55 billion. To put this into some context, Dogecoin was worth more than the market value of companies like **Kraft Heinz**, **Ford**, and **Twitter**. It also briefly made Dogecoin one of the five most-valuable digital currencies. Daily trading volume has also gone through the roof. Roughly one year ago, 200 million to 300 million Dogecoin were traded daily. Over the past two weeks, we've witnessed anywhere from 11.9 billion to 69.4 billion Dogecoin change hands on a daily basis. In short, it's become the poster child of crypto momentum in a matter of months. But even with a roughly 11,000% gain over the trailing-12-month period, Dogecoin has all the look of a pump-and-dump asset that investors should avoid like the plague. Here are five key reasons Dogecoin belongs nowhere near investors' portfolios. 1. Extremely limited utility Arguably the biggest knock against Dogecoin, is that there is virtually no usefulness  for these tokens. According to online business directory Cryptwerk, in the neighborhood of 1,300 businesses now accept payment or tips in Dogecoin.  Meanwhile, *International Business Times* listed 48 companies that took Dogecoin as payment six weeks ago. Neither figure is very high when you consider that the U.S. has more than 32 million businesses by itself and there are an estimated 582 million entrepreneurs worldwide. The point is this: Dogecoin is a novelty "currency" that has virtually no use. 2. Unlimited supply Like Bitcoin, Dogecoin is a decentralized network that utilizes proof-of-work as a means to validate transactions. This means **Cryptocurrency miners** use high-powered computers to solve complex equations to validate groups of transactions, known as a block. For doing so, they're given a block reward, which currently equates to 10,000 Dogecoin (worth about $2,500). Here's where things get interesting: A block reward is handed out every minute. That's 600,000 new Dogecoin every hour, 14.4 million new tokens every day, and close to 5.26 billion new Dogecoin being virtually minted every year. There's no supply cap on how many Dogecoin can circulate. With 129.3 billion Dogecoin already in supply, as of this past weekend, investors are constantly seeing the value of their holdings diluted with each new block reward. 3. A lack of differentiation If you need another good reason to avoid dogecoin like a disaster take a gander at its backstory. In 2013, two software developers -- Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer -- came up with the idea of combining two of the buzziest things on the internet at the time into one. They took the extremely popular Shiba Inu dog meme and, after three hours of writing code, turned it into its own cryptocurrency. Not too long after creating Dogecoin, Markus and Palmer stepped away, leaving community developers to fill the void and ensure the lights stayed on, so to speak. These multiple years without true development have left Dogecoin without much differentiation. This is to say that it's no different than dozens of other tradable cryptocurrencies. 4. No fundamental catalysts A fourth reason to be highly skeptical of Dogecoin is the lack of true fundamental catalysts. Although the phrase "fundamental catalyst" has a completely different meaning for digital currencies, tangible drivers can be found within the crypto movement. For example, **Tesla Motors buying**  1.5$ billion in bitcoin and announcing it would accept payment in Bitcoin stands out as a real-world catalyst. Comparatively, Dogecoin has no real-world catalysts. Its ascent has been driven with internet popularity with none other than Tesla CEO Elon Musk behind most of the pumping. Since the vast majority of Dogecoin is owned by retail investors and not institutions, emotions have also played a key role. The thing about emotions is that they're short term in nature and can shift at any moment. 5. Even its codeveloper is taken aback by its valuation If all of this is still not enough to convince you that Dogecoin is an awful investment, listen to what someone who might know a thing or two about Dogecoin had to say: codeveloper Billy Markus. This week on **Twitter**, Markus, who is no longer involved with the development of Dogecoin, told me that he "like[s] the coin" and that "it's worth whatever people buy it for."  But in an interview with  the wall street journal following Dogecoin's ascent to $0.08 earlier this year, Markus proclaimed: The Idea of Dogecoin being worth 8 cents is the same as GameStop being worth $325. It doesn't make sense. It's super absurd. The coin design was absurd. Dogecoin may have partially outgrown its meme status, but it'll always be that digital currency founded as a joke that lacks the differentiation and utility to be meaningful in the real world. The platform is also being used as a digital proof-of-identification for documents like diplomas or membership cards. ION will allow these digital identities to be different than traditional usernames and email addresses by ensuring they are owned and controlled by the users themselves – not by a third party. Inter-blockchain communication (IBC) In March, investors in the Cosmos blockchain voted to enable inter-blockchain communication. that would allow assets to easily transfer from one blockchain to another. Strategy 1#: how to avoid volatility on Crypto holdings. Now the Market is relatively down on the dominating coins especially Bitcoin. I think it is just recently the price went up a bit. The price didn't increase since midnight till now. Most people investing in Bitcoin will be frustrated as to why this is happening at this time. Here is the portfolio for last 24 hours for Bitcoin. It decreased to about -0.31 percent representing $172.28. This is alot of money though. In the next hour this is the prediction made which will affect BTC. And the image above shows that BTC will decrease according to the prediction. I myself have been monitoring Bitcoin using this prediction and it doesn't lie. It's 80% accurate according to the deductions drawn. So here is the case where you are a Bitcoin holder. What are you going to do now? Here there is something we call volatility and this I believe is always bound to happen. We might not know when Bitcoin will rise or fall and it happens rapidly. After every minute and second, the price changes. Now someone might ask how can I prevent this from happening to me? The answer is simple. You can escape this fluctuations by; 1. Using offline wallets to keep the money before the Cryptocurrency rises up again. Sure thing you can send the money to another crypto wallet that is an offline wallet for safekeeping. This is a care free way of escaping price volatility. I swapped the Bitcoin I had into Ethereum like a month ago. Check the image below. The price of ETH has risen to about 15.26% currently. Buckscake token.(scam or not)? Personally, in my opinion Buckscake token was introduced through airdrops and referrals to other people where you follow some guidelines before earning 1BKC which is 4$ according to the website. Currently I earned 1.3BKC in there. I registered and pasted my Matamask wallet address on the website for withdrawals. I did this I think two days ago. Well users on read.cash like @Macronald and other users also joined the airdrop. I just wanted to check if my money was there today and when I used the website, there was an error. I reloaded but this is what they keep on telling me. This alone is a red flag as to why this token is a scam. Also about the ERC20 address we posted in there. I'm having a strange feeling about it since we had our addresses posted on the site which hasn't been coming since today (27/04/21) according to me. All I see there is to check if there is a typo on Buckscake? So what next? How do we know they are scamming us? So does it mean the more time we waste on these initiatives, the more they suck our data? Sometimes they say you would have to bring in some amount of money for it to grow. I don't trust this when someone says that to me. First of all, I go to Trustpilot.com online to check and see if it is legit or not. So one way to check whether it is legit or not is to research to the core and find out whether it's scam or not. This was what influenced me to join the airdrop. When I joined it, and I performed all the actions, I received only 4$. I was shocked to the bone though. So technically they are luring people to go into this token. Sometimes tokens like this will work for other people and it wouldn't work for others just like BCHjolly.com. At first the initiative worked out for people who started it early and those who went in to earn by mining free and even added more BCH where cryptorobbed. No legit platform i have seen so far will tell you that the minimum amount to withdraw will be that high as compared to the Non-legit ones. With this token, the minimum redrawal is around 10BKC which is about 40$. This is also a red flag. Wasting people's data, resources and time. This is why I personally don't like these kind of airdrops but @Macronald is a very good writer and through him I registered since I trust him. But this is what I have seen so far about this token. I tried to login but that's what I saw on the home page of the site. I reloaded but it didn't go on. This alone is enough proof that this token is not legit as we all see it to be. **Foxy rating** Foxy rating, one of the trusted sites when it comes to scam and legit platforms had no reviews from 26th of February to 24th of April. Another red flag. I myself wanted to check the white paper for the token today and this is what happened. I can no longer go online to Buckscake.com. So about the 12 rounds too what has happened to it? The whole Foxy rating couldn't find out about this token. You can check on the image above. The visit tag has been cancelled I wanted to go to the page but the same thing came again where the website cannot be reached. Too many red flags here. Here is a white flag According to this image, that means Buckcakes doesn't use https:// as its internet protocol that why when I searched for it, it didn't appear. But to go into it again, I didn't add that internet protocol to the search box when I wanted to access the website. Maybe whether you write it or not it works through that internet protocol I guess. The website doesn't use Https connection anymore. So now then there is a white flag. But now, m how are we ought to access our accounts then? If it's affecting those who have gone through the registrations then. This are some of my observations and in my opinion we will wait and see for more confirmations. Level up!! Hello loved ones,it is Phoe_nix and this is actually my first official article here on Readcash. Slow but sure,in no time,I will become an excellent writer just like all of you here. In this very article, I will level you up for the next challenge you are going to face in life. Are you sad, feel down or you feel bad just because of what's happening to you? Sometimes you try hard not to make it a problem but there is nothing you can do. Life is pretty interesting isn't it? My life is a typical example. Let me tell you some of my experiences back in school.* I was selected as a contestant for the national Energy quiz and we were 8 that we're selected through a test. I passed though and I was happy. I didn't know what was going to happen next to me in life after this. So I had to learn alot about energy specifically nuclear energy, all about Chernobyl disaster, Fukushima and SL-1 disasters that occurred and some other stuff including radioactivity. That was a burden on me though but I strived and I learnt it all. Now we were asked to write a final test and I wrote it. When the results came out, my opponent passed me with 1 mark. Just one mark! This was a big blow to me. I was so so frustrated knowing that I learnt all these and also the mistakes I made on the test sheet that would have made me pass my opponent. I was really down. So one morning at home, I decided to go to the waterfalls at my region just for sightseeing though. When I got there and l looked at the waters, I had this strange feeling. This feeling was the kind I never had before. I felt free and gay. I suddenly became pleased with what I saw and I said to myself; This hit me hard on the back but there is a feeling, a reaction that is preventing me from making myself look bad. I have learnt my mistakes and I will get up and level up. No matter what it takes. There and then, I made up my mind to stop whining and start working. Let the fun begin. I started learning harder and harder and I made sure nothing stopped my progress. I am now currently in one of the best senior high schools in West Africa. Presbyterian Boys' secondary school. Due to my hard work and persistent effort. I was able to make it to the school of my choice. I never made up my mind to celebrate this cause I know I going to meet tougher things ahead. These were the key aspects of my life which helped me to unleash my inner self; Vision Determination Risk taking Guidance and counseling Self motivation and personal encouragement. Vision It is very important for one to have a vision. It shows a sense of direction towards what you want to achieve in life. Just like the eagle's vision, for high above the sky looking at its prey. It then makes a move and flies down to grab it's prey and it escapes. The eagle tries again and again and again and finally gets its prey and has it's prey for lunch. We must have the vision to see ahead and know our next move which will get us to the next level then we will enjoy the benefits just like the eagle had its lunch. Yummy! Just like your success will be sweeter than anything else you can think of. You have to build yourself up and never look down. I repeat, never look down on yourself just because you didn't make it one way or the other. Put yourself together and make it worthwhile. Are you levelled up??? Determination Determination is an effective tool to help one achieve his or her ambition. When you identify your ambition,it demands systematic thinking,hardworking and persistent effort to achieve them. Show them who you are! From zero to hero. Show those obstacles who you are and quit whining and start working towards your goal. Don't let an impediment discourage you from making your Mark and achieving your goal. You got this👍. Taking risk. If you don't take the risk, how will you make it in life? It's not easy believe me, but you have to take risk. Make it a priority for you to never quit in what you are doing to get to your goal. You must venture into new areas and new ideas even if there is a risk attached to it. That why we have something called probability. It will occur alright, but it's up to you to make it better by taking risks. Take risks! Don't listen to what other people will say about it. No matter what, never quit getting to your goal. Never! Have you ever wondered why we see people like Elon Musk, Mark De Mesel and Roger Ver made it possible to get to where they are? They took risks to get to where they are. They were Determined. They had vision. Are you ready to take risks? Guidance and counseling This is also a way of leveling you up to another level of your life. You must be guided and counseled as to any thing that is bothering you. It can be your work or your personal self. If you are bothering yourself by these stuff in mind I am Afraid, you might not make it on your own. Be guided and advised by elders or even counsellors and I assure you. You have taken one step to achieving your goal in life. Self motivation and personal encouragement. This is my best part. Being encouraged and motivated. I myself use YouTube videos to encourage myself. And other stuff like being the best version of myself each and every day. I take my studies seriously and seeing my role models.Particularly, Benjamin and Faith of Presbyterian Boys' made me realize that I can be like them or even better. They are Quiz contestants for the National Science and Maths quiz in my country representing my school. They are geniuses to b e on point. They are the reason why I am still here today after what happened to me when someone passed my with just a Mark to represent the school. I still didn't give up. I motivated myself through all these and right now I am pleased with myself. I have levelled up!👍. It is time to make a difference in the world Commarades. Let's all be focused at achieving our goals. My next goal is to get 1BCH from read.cash site to invest in Bitcoin cash. And I am not giving up. I just started. Level up!!!
