About Arthritis
Good day my fellow read.cash members. How are you guy doing today, hope you all are fine. Today am here to share with you guys about one of the most common problem human have especially women. It arthritis, some of us might have heard about it or have someone who is suffering from it well here is a little explanation about it.
ABOUT ARTHRITIS
Arthritis is a disorder of the joints. It the inflammation of the joints. The are over one hundred types of joint disorders, though they are all related. They are characterized by pains, swelling and stiffness and,at times, deformity.
Rheumatism is another word often used for arthritis. But it meaning is rather vague and means different things to different people. Human have to types of joint which are mobile and immobile joints.
TYPES OF ARTHRITIS
Osteoarthritis
Rheumatoid arthritis
Osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis. It is the degeneration or wearing out of a joint due to old age,over-exertion or injury. Osteoarthritis affects the mobile joints of the body.
Causes of Osteoarthritis
They are two types of Osteoarthritis which are primary and secondary osteoarthritis. The primary osteoarthritis occurs when joints degeneration sets on it own without any abnormal or apparent cause.
The secondary osteoarthritis is that which has a know cause. It has follows:
Heredity: Osteoarthritis can be hereditary when the parents pass on their children genes, which dispose them to a certain degeneration of the joint.
Excessive Stress: If a joint is dislocated or injured and yet still begin exerted, arthritis may occur.
Previous Damage: Untreated dislocation or half-treated fracture will eventually lead to arthritis.
Over-weight: Accumulation of excess calories add more weight to the body. Extra body weight puts too much stress on the hips and knees which results to arthritis.
Occupation: One's occupation plays a major role not only in the development of arthritis but in the quality of one's health in general. Those who stand for long hours are prone to pains on the knees. Those whose occupation requires lifting heavy objects are prone to waist pains, technically called lumbago.
Rheumatoid Arthritis it the inflammation of the same joints on the
side of the body. Rheumatoid arthritis is very common these days due to the processed and artificial food and drinks. It affects both young and old, even infants. It is more come between the age of 25-55.
Causes of Rheumatoid arthritis
Viruses: Some scientists have proposed that rheumatoid arthritis can be caused by some kind of infection by virus, leading to the inflammation of the joints. This viruses are peculiar and live in the body for a long time undetected before their influence is felt.
Symptoms
Rheumatoid arthritis usually begins with pains and stiffness in one or two joints, mostly the hands and the feet. It often get worse on waking up in the morning, but wears off during the day. Gradually the pains becomes intense with constant swelling and inflammation in the joints. Moving or touching the joints becomes painful.
In treating arthritis,the aims are:
-To strengthen the bones
- Repair damaged joint tissues
- Eradicate the symptoms
To achieve this aims, diet is very important. Processed or refined food and drinks like sugar, biscuits and ice cream must be avoided. Stop taking coffee. Smoking and alcohol of all kind must be avoided.
Take plenty of water, especially on rising daily. Try to take nothing except water and fruits for breakfast.
Thanks so much for reading.
Much love.

Water As A Therapy
Good morning my fellow read.cash members. How are you guys doing? It has really been hectic over but I thank God for life, peace of mind and good health.
I have been contemplating on what to write for awhile now and i decided to write about WATER AS A THERAPY. We all know that drinking water on a daily basis is very good so let consider this topic careful.
Of recent I have been so conscious of my health ever since I visited the hospital considering my brother's health. I noticed that it is not all illness that requires hospital help,we should be conscious of our everyday life.
Let me use this medium to tell you guys a little about the life-giving properties of water. Right from the creation of the world there was water. Water is the strongest natural force on earth, far more powerful than fire and wind. Almost all the things we eat contain a lot of water, tomatoes contain 95%, oranges contain 95%, pawpaw contains 90%,and apples contain 80%. The human body also contains water which is 70%.
Water has a therapy is a scientific method of drinking water to promote health and bring healing to some ailments such dehydration, diarrhea, sweating and kidney failure and some those ailment.
The method is: when you wake up in the morning, drink at least five cups of water. This is better done as soon as you wake up in the morning, even before brushing your teeth.
During the course of the day drink as much water as you can, never while eating. You should drink as much water at least one hour before or after each meals, never during meals. The reason for this is that the body produces it own enzymes for digesting any food taken.
Now drinking water while eating lead to a dilution of these enzymes, making them to lose their concentration. The safest and purest drinking water comes from the springs.
Spring water is the purest water for humans to consume. Before going to bed at night, you should drink three to four glass of water.
This method is so simple that one can easily take it for granted. However, its efficacy has been scientifically proven. Cases of diabetes, cancers, hypertension, stroke, arthritis and other illnesses have been reversed through water therapy. Let us make use of water for the health and betterment of our children, the world and ourselves. As adults we should consume more water. A normal strong, healthy person should consume up to 70,000-90,000 liters of water in their lifetime.
Apart from water being a therapy, water can also play a lot of roles in our everyday life. For example now you can't use a soft drink to quench your thirst but it is water, water also moderates the body temperature.
When they say health is wealth it really means a lot. I know that if we should ask some person's this question the will choose wealth over health. We should always put our health first in our everyday life while making some money.
Thanks so much for reading through this. I really appreciate 🙏 and also as you read these you should be able to put it into practice and check out how your body system will start regulating. Have a nice day and stay healthy.

Do us all well SEPTEMBER
Hello to all my read.cash members. Happy new month to you all. I want to use this opportunity to thank God for the journey so far making each and every one of us be a partaker of the last face of the year. I know that some of us has experience a lot in the past month.
The month of August was so hard for me financially and otherwise. It happened so fast that none of us could understand what was really happening. My younger brother was always complaining of his abdomen all the time so we had to get him pain relief from the pharmacy close to our house.
It all started in the month of July . He was always complaining about his tummy that it hurt since my brother does eat so much. We thought that it was due to overfeeding, so we gave him drugs to relieve the pain. The pain was relieved after he took the drugs. He was okay throughout the month of July. Suddenly the pain came back again last month. This time around it was worse. We had to rush him to the hospital for a proper check-up. We did a series of tests which the doctor told us to do after which he had to meet the doctor in charge of his case. We were told to go to the general surgery section. Since I don't know much about the medical field I had to ask for directions to the place . When it got to my brother's turn we were called in by the doctor in charge and he asked my brother a series of questions about the food he does consume. My brother begin so weak, I had to answer all the questions that the doctor asked him.
The doctor looked at me than my brother seeing the suspense on our face I know that he was scared to spill it out but he had no choice than to inform us that my brother is suffering from appendicitis hearing that I went blank for a while I couldn't digest the information at that time i had to adk the doctor again to confirm and I got the same answer. I looked at my brother wondering what he does eat because we do take the same meal all the time. I wonder how his appendix got to swell. Appendicitis is a medical condition in which the appendix becomes swollen and inflamed at times caused by foreign objects in the body such as sand or gums in which we take in mistakenly.
When we got home everyone gathered around to hear what the doctor said about my brother's health. My mouth was too heavy to spill it out. After much pressure I had to tell them that he had appendicitis which left everyone shocked. Our next visit to the hospital the doctor told us that they have to conduct a surgery on him immediately to prevent the appendix from bursting. They directed us to where we will get the bill for the surgery and everything they will use during the surgery. The bill was so much that we had to sell off some properties and borrow from some of our relatives to raise enough money for the surgery. My brother's surgery was conducted last week after everything he had a successful surgery and he is recovering now.
I hope the month of September won't be like the previous month at all because it wasn't easy at all for me. I hope I will be able to complete the goals I set out for myself this month and also pray for good health for everyone.
First Impression Matters In Everything
I have learnt a lesson today. From now on I will be dealing with African time. When I am dealing with some people I wonder how people do business when they are not time conscious at all.
I saw an organic product last week so I had to place an order for it since my sister was complaining about her face. Seeing the advertisement of a product that can clear her face with no side effects so I had to place an order for her. I chatted the lady up requesting two of her products which were lemon oil and her face scrub.
We agreed on our delivery point which was at the plaza where I will pick up the product. The delivery date was today by 10:00am. I had to rush through my morning chorus so I had to make it there on time since she said that her delivery person would be there on time.
I had to use the ATM first this morning. It was around 09:45am. The bank was close to the delivery point so I had to walk down there. O got to the delivery point by 10:20am thinking that I had missed the person not knowing that the person hadn't even arrived.
I stood there for an hour, no call , not even a reply from the message I dropped for her on Facebook. I stood there getting frustrated contemplating on what to do. By 12:30 that was when I got a call from the lady's husband telling me that I should be patient and that he is on the way. What I was thankful for was that it wasn't paid before service. If it were, hmmmm , I would have asked for her location.
I had to wait for another 30 minutes after receiving the call from her husband. I was hungry and tired at the same time. I didn't even know anyone around the plaza so I had to stand at the spot like a statue dripping in my own sweat. At last the man brought the products for me without any remorse. He didn't even apologize for coming late. I looked at him and got my stuff and headed back home.
Business people should be time conscious when dealing with new clients for the first time. First impressions matters a lot. At least the smile on my sister's face gave me strength.

Always Follow Your Dream, No Matter If You Are The Only One Chasing It
My name is Peggy Johnson.I am the only child of my parents. I had this dream of becoming an actress since when I was a child. I participated in acting both in church and in school. I do see myself as a big time actor in the industry. But my parents wanted me to study law because they felt, there was no future in acting.I stood my ground and gained admission into the University to study theater art. I pressed my dream of being an actress.
After my youth service I relocated to Lagos to secure a job. Omor it was hard to get a job. I went from one auditioning to the other but they was no hope. At one of the auditioning i met my best friend Faith. Life was hard for the both of us. My friend and I went clubbing one night just to cool our minds, off the job seeking stress. There I met a guy, his name was Tony and he was a stout man he looked cool.
Since I wasn't picked at any of the auditions, I had to work as a hairdresser to make money. There was this particular lady that I admire and wish to be like her. She made a comment and I took it personally. She said that this is no small role but she is a small actress, I took these words so personally and I was so determined to make it in life.
Tony and I started dating. He was nice and gave me full time attention, he was there by my side, he took me to every audition. We had fun and enjoyed our time together. One day I went for an audition, luck was on my side. That day I got picked for a role though I was scared at first but after a word of courage from one of the ADs I played my role perfectly. He gave me something that changed my life for good. It was more like an audition for a contest " Make Me A Star" . Going back home to celebrate my success I had my worst experience. I found my best friend and my boyfriend in a compromised position. It was so heartbreaking I had to move on with my life.
I felt so scattered and betrayed by my best friend and my boyfriend. I cried all through the night I had no one to comfort me. While in my agony of betrayal I saw the flyer, the AD gave to me at the audition I decided to give it a try. During the audition, I wasn't comfortable at all,I was called in and they asked me a few questions and I answered the questions. We were told to go home and that they will get back to us in a few weeks.
One day while I was at home I got a text message from the organizers of the contest that I have been selected as the best out of all the contestants that came for the audition. I won the money prize of 20 million naira, a car and a beautiful house and most importantly I was made a star.
I was called up to give a speech of what inspired me into acting. I had to spill out everything from when I was a child up to the stage I was presently in. I told them how my parents pressured me to study law or they would disown me. I stood out to encourage everyone to pursue their dreams and not the other way round to please people. My parents saw how successful, I had become and they were so proud of me.
Life In Lagos City 5
Her name is Ayomide, she is my senior colleague in school. I even forgot to mention to Ayomide earlier, that I also had a cousin that was studying law too. She is a nice girl. Do you have any means I could use to communicate with her, I asked with a sad face. She shook her head but offered to check her faculty WhatsApp group for her contact. I was relieved but not fully as my mind began to ponder on what and what I could have bought with my $85. Have found her contact, lucky you. She screamed from the sitting room.
Wonderful! Merciful God!!! I exclaimed. I don't know when I started dancing.
What is going on here, said my uncle who was surprised to see me that lively.
Nothing serious, my cousin replied. Welcome sir, welcome ma, I greeted both of them with a beaming smile. Emma, how are you? He asked.
Am fine sir, I had a great time today. Never knew Lagos was this big, busy and beautiful. Today happens to be the best day of my life, I said without stopping to catch my breath.
Truly, yoruba ladies have a thing for beauty. See a whole Jagaban talking plenty, even when the question was about how I was faring. My cousin signaled me to stop, she was scared I was going to tell him about Ayomide. Of course I would have, if not for her timely intervention. Dad, how was your day? What did you get for me? `` she che asked while giving me the "keep quiet" kind of look. It seems my uncle had a stressful day, as I saw him stretch and walked into his room. It's okay, Emma let me go and take my bath. Have you all had your dinner? My uncle's wife asked while leaving their room. Yes mummy, we echoed.
Dora walked up to me, hey! Couzo! Before I give you her contact, you need to appease the goddess of Lagos. Wonderful, merciful God, which kind wahala be this? goddess since when? I asked, almost crying. Have already lost $85, so any money related request could get me emotional. Have told you my own oh, she said while leaving.
See this small girl dey shake waist for Jagaban, shey she wan collect.
My beautiful yoruba crush face just flashed in my mind again. Wait! Wait!! How much do you need! I said reluctantly. Just get me shawarma with cold yoghurt, she replied. Alright, I will do that tomorrow, can I have the contact? I said humbly.
Love will make you humble, even when you are not a nice person. She smiled and typed the digit into my phone.
Eureka! Eureka!!!! I screamed.
My uncle and his wife ran to the sitting room. Eweey! Who sent me, my liver and kidney just cut.
What's the matter, Emma? Hope you are fine? He enquired. Yes sir, I just remembered Jesus died for our sins, and am so happy about that.
Yes! Christ died for us, I am so happy you are serious with your walk with God, come and sit here let's share the scriptures.
Wonderful, Merciful God, I exclaimed. Of course he is a merciful God, my uncle replied.
Eweeey! Jagaban done buy market, I spoke softly. I sat with him and he talked about God, his love for God. How he won souls for God in his 20's. He said so many things. I wasn't listening anymore, as I was busy imagining the "50 things I will do with Ayomide".
My eyes were almost closing, it seems you are tired, I snapped out from my wonderland. Yes uncle, let's continue tomorrow, I begged. My cousins were busy laughing at me, all this while.
It's okay, let's pray, he concluded. My uncle prayed for over 30 minutes, wonderful, merciful God!!!. I said amen, finally and hurried to my room.
I dialed her number, it rang but nobody answered. Then an idea came to mind. It would be nice if I could sing 'Ayo by Simi' for her. Instead of familiarising myself with the lyrics, I began dancing to the song. Shey! I dey craze ni. It wasn't my fault. She was just too beautiful abeg.
While dancing, my phone rang, she called back. Ha! I increased the intensity of my dance steps. You need to see me dance, go jagaban, go jagaban, I cheered myself.
Hello! I finally picked, this is Emmanuel, the guy you met at Ojuelegba today, how are you? Am really sorry for what happened, I said all this while gyrating to the soft song by Simi.
Which guy, I was home all day and besides who gave you my contact?
But eeerm, see am the one that, am really sorry for what, I entered danfo home, I was shocked I became a stammerer at the moment.
I can see you are not ready to talk, have a blissful night, she said as she hung up.
I dialed my cousin's line, she picked. Ha! Couzo how was it? Am sure you have murdered her with words, I trust you with your sweet mouth, she teased. Omor, it was a wrong contact, you gave to me.
It's true oh, I sent you another person's contact, her name is also Ayomide, she said. Tah! Her name can't be Ayomide, "she is Ko si Ayo" I said. We both laughed.
It was already past eleven, and it wouldn't be nice to call my this time. I went to bed thinking of my Ayomide, I never knew a night could be that long.
I woke up the next day, without saying my grace. Picked up my phone and dialed her number.
Hello, good morning Ayomide, how are you and how was your night rest?
Sorry please, who is on the line, she said.
Eweey! Wonderful, Merciful God!! I exclaimed.
Life In Lagos City...(4)
After settling the bill, we stood up and left. I brought out my phone to get her digits and the notification that popped up sent an electric shock down my spine, as I couldn't believe my eyes. "Wonderful, merciful God, this boy has been killed" I screamed. Everyone thought I was mad as I ran pushing people to get to the other side of the road, at that point I lost my memory of Ayomide.
The thought of trekking home gave me more energy to run. On getting to the POS point. I saw one elderly woman selling fried yam and potato, 'my son, wetin you want buy' she said in a quivering tone. I dey find that boy were dey do POS for here, I said while pointing at the spot where her showglass was.
'My son, na me dey stay here, nobody dey do POS for here' she said. My intestine began to make some funny sound like '70 yrs old man'. Ha! But mama, na here I…. Wetin dey happening a voice from behind interrupted me. It was the woman's son.
She spoke in yoruba telling him about who I was looking for. The son turned and smiled at me 'senior, you done enter one chance, dem done wire you' . ha! Mogbe, she said, looking at me with so much pity.
He went on to tell me about other people's experience with the wire wire boys. I brought out my ATM card to verify his story, only to discover it was swapped with another card. My mind quickly flashed back to when the guy made some funny comment while looking at the other side of the road. I was tricked to look too. Maybe that was when he swapped my card. I want to cry but I remember I was Jagaban. What will I tell my followers about what happened to Jagaban that made him cry? I decided to swallow my tears, and wanted to walk but I tripped and fell. $85 was really a huge sum of money to be thrown away.
'welcome to lasgidi' as he helped me to my feet smiling, his smile was mixed with pity and mockery. I told him thank you and walked off. It was almost past 5pm. I knew my uncle would soon be back and would look for me. I crossed to the other side of the road and boarded a bus home. My day would have been fun if not for the unauthorised transaction that occurred. I reached for my phone to narrate my day to my fans. On opening I saw lots of comments from my previous upload with Ayomide. Then I quickly remembered I didn't get her contact.
Wonderful, merciful God!! I exclaimed. See as fine girl take pass me by.
I spent 2 hours before I got home, lucky enough my uncle wasn't back. Everyone was happy to see me home, as they were worried. Even with the pepper cooking maid, I knew she just wanted to give me a treat of pepper tonight. I quickly took my bath, walked to the dinning just to fill my belly with something before I began weeping for my lost money and girlfriend.
Senior couzo, how was your day? Cynthia asked. It was fine, I answered bluntly. I didn't want her to inform my uncle about my ordeal today. So I was mindful of what I told her. Seems, you are not happy, hope everything is alright, she asked. I nodded for I knew, if I had said anything maybe I would have ended up crying. But why will Jagaban Cry eh!
Big man, I saw your uploads on Instagram, don't tell me, you have gotten a girlfriend already, Desmond (my uncle's son) said. I smiled sheepishly and continued eating. Let me see the picture, she begged his brother. I signaled him not to do it, but he had already shown it to her.
Ha! Ayomide, she said. My eyes widened and the lump of eba in my throat got stuck. Do you know her, I asked, almost jumping off my seat. She nodded in affirmation. Wonderful, merciful God!!! I exclaimed. Where did you meet her, she asked. I had no choice but to tell her everything that happened, except for being scammed. I wasn't ready to face the panel of judges when they were back.
Life In Lagos City...(3)
Few minutes later, the rough looking guy exclaimed 'mu owo re', I was just looking at the portable look alike. I no dey understand you, I said. Oga gimme money, no dey look me like tolotolo" he said. I quickly dipped my hand inside my pocket.
Wonderful! Merciful God!!! I exclaimed. I wasn't with my transport fare and I wasn't ready to be embarrassed by this rude looking conductor. I lowered my voice to ask him if they would accept the transfer. He nodded his head. When I removed my gadget to make the transfer, he quickly snatched the phone from my hand. 'Eh, God! What's your problem, make me do the transfer na,' I said with a mixed voice. All this while, all other passengers had left except one beautiful lady. She just stood watching everything that happened.
'se were, funmi ni owo, o fe fi han mi pe o ni fu ni..ti mo ba tunfun e ni foonu yii eh' he shouted. Now everyone had gathered to watch the little drama between me & the conductor. He was still ranting, when someone tapped me from behind, I turned and it was the beautiful lady, we boarded the bus together. "She handed me five hundred naira To pay for my fare. At first, I didn't want to collect. How will a whole jagaban collect money from a lady eh. But the thought of this rough looking man going with my phone, made me accept the offer. I handed the money to him. 'You no dey shame, na woman pay money For you' he said while handing my phone and balance to me. I collected, turned to tell her thank you but she was nowhere to be found, as everywhere was busy.
I thanked my stars and left, looking for a POS point since I didn't want to be embarrassed again. Lucky enough I saw one and moved to the attendant. I told him about my ordeal and he gladly helped. I was still wondering why he will be so nice to a stranger, and I waved it off with the notion he was just doing his business. Maybe I was wrong or maybe not. I began my tour around Ojuelegba. Funny enough, the road was crowded. So each picture I take, I will find one stranger looking at my camera or making a funny face in my picture. Wonderful! Merciful God, so if my wallet falls down now, I can't pick it up again o. I said to myself. While trying to figure out my next destination, someone tapped from behind. 'Hi, am Ayomide, sorry for what happened to you earlier today' she said while giving me that killer smile. I never knew smiles were contagious until I saw her smile.
It's ooooooook, thanks for helping, I added, after a series of stammering. 'Seems you are new in this area' she added. Her voice crippled my cerebral hemispheres, how was I to lie before an angel. 'Yes, am new, I came to visit my Uncle that stays in Surulere. He has three children, two females and a male. He works with the United Bank of Africa as the Assistant Manager. His wife is a nurse at Lagos University Teaching hospital. I said all this while looking at her face. But Yoruba ladies, can be so beautiful. Don't argue with me, before Jagaban will lose himself describing what doesn't matter to a lady I just met, then I knew my ATM pin wasn't safe. She just smiled and told me, a little about herself, while we stroll to a sit out she said was down the other side of the road.
I was still struggling to pass in the crowded road but she was already waving from the other side, maybe because she was slim or just used to it. As for me, I was taking my time, because the way the crowd was, someone might even pull your trouser and run with it without you noticing. Finally, I was at the other side of the road with Ayomide. She lead me to an eatery down the road.
As a gentleman, I told her to place her order before I did, she ordered for fried rice and chicken with a bottle of yoghurt and I also made same order. It was lovely watching her eat, I pleaded with her to take some shots, which she accepted. Within 2 seconds, the pictures were already on my instagram, '*Meet Ayomide my new found lover'* I had series of comments and reactions. I really felt like a celebrity. Finished eating, we stayed a little longer, she told me a lot about herself . She is from Ile Ife inOsun State, Studies Law at the University of Lagos. Loves swimming, dancing and singing. Her favorite color was gray just like mine. Seems we shared a lot of things in common because I also liked singing and my favorite color is gray. She smiled. Her phone rang and it was time to go, her mom needed her to run an errand for her.
After settling the bill, we stood up and left. I brought out my phone to get her digits and the notification that popped up, sent an electric shock down my spine, as I couldn't believe my eyes. "Wonderful, merciful God, this boy has killed" I screamed. Everyone thought I was mad as i ran pushing people to get to the other side of the road, at that point I lost memory of Ayomide.

Don't Change Your Goal, Believe In Yourself
*"When you start living the life of your dreams, there will always be obstacles, doubters, mistakes and setbacks along the way. But with hard work, perseverance and self-belief there is no limit to what you can achieve - Roy T. Bennett"*
Once upon a time in a city called Origiston, The people of the town were all fishermen, who lived only from their produce. Life was fun and easy and everyone thrived to make a living. One day, the king gathered all the fishermen and announced to them about a fishing competition. The winner was to marry the king's only daughter.
Everyone was hoping to win both great and small. While walking home, all the fishermen began talking about How they were going to win the competition. The other fishermen who were not skilled were discouraged And they decided to reject the invitation to the competition. Soyinka, one of the less skilled fishermen walked home, though he loved the King's daughter but he knew he wasn't going to win. While returning home, he walked past the house of fishermen. He saw how sophisticated his net was and felt more discouraged. While walking home, an old woman met with him. Called him the husband to the King's daughter, but he politely declined, telling her how unskilled he is and how others are better.
She smiled and asked him *'*son do you believe the king will give you his daughter, if you win in the competition. He nodded in affirmation. She went on to tell him, "You believed the king because you think he can't fail you, but you doubt yourself because you feel you will fail. She went on to tell him "even if you lose everything in this world, don't lose the trust you have in yourself, always believe in yourself".
The long awaited day came, all the men displayed their skill and Soyinka the only unskilled fisherman did too, this time he wasn't doubting himself and with great confidence, he launched his net in the sea, he had the highest catch. And the king kept to his word, he handed the princess to Soyinka. And when he died, Soyinka became the king. And they lived happily ever after.
The above story illustrates the power of believing in yourself. Most times life could be so tiring and daring and all your goals lie before you with no hope of being accomplished. You have tried and tried and nothing is coming forth, so you decided to let it be. Goals were meant to be accomplished with or without ease. In the story above, the king knew, not everyone will be skilled enough to have a large catch, so he pegged the goal (marrying off his daughter) to the person with the highest number of fishes. In such a quest there is bound to be a winner, because everyone can't go back the same way. Now, you've seen, every goal is meant to be accomplished regardless of the Challenges around it. Also if you had followed the story so well, you will discover, they were setbacks. Soyinka was never a skilled fisherman but one who went fishing just for personal consumption.
Educational qualification can be a major setback in achieving our goal. For instance, there is a vacancy advertised in a company and the qualifications include SSCE, B.sc, OND and HND. We all know that the highest qualification in that list is B.Sc, which could Make candidates with other qualifications get discouraged. Discouragement is the first step in losing the race. The candidate with B.Sc might get the job not because of his qualification but because of the belief he has in himself.
Believing in yourself has a way of making you accomplish tasks you wouldn't have. You don't need all the qualifications in the world to be bold, you just need the right mindset for it.
If you can believe in yourself, then you can achieve a lot of things.
Do have a beautiful day.

Life In Lagos City...(2)
Why on earth will the cook empty a bag of pepper into my stew, I said softly. When I lifted my eyes, she was standing in front of me. I knew I had enrolled myself into the vawulence academy. Wonderful! Merciful God!! I exclaimed.
She walked up to me, with this I go show you shege look. I quietly ate my pepper stew and left the dinning table worried. Later on, my cousins gather and we played some board games, they won me eeh.. This children instead of studying, seems they were studying the board games.
The dinning bell was rung, so it was lunch time already. Everyone rushed to the table except me, i couldn't snap out of my experience during my breakfast. So I wanted the food to be cold a bit, so the pepper won't be that intense. Who born me, gimme self control over food! As my cousins opened their plates, the aroma chased me from the sitting room to the dinning. wonderful! Merciful God!!! It was my favorite soup, egusi (Melon) soup. Not minding seeing my cousins used knife and fork to eat theirs. Why on earth will I punish myself when am not in an hostel, I quickly washed my hands, open my plate, made a fast sign of the cross and began the match. The first morsel sent me out of my chair to where the Airconditioner was, wonderful, merciful God!!!. Was it Eba and egusi soup or Eba and pepper soup.
My cousins and the wicked maid were all laughing at me. How come they developed thick taste buds at the age of 10, wonderful merciful God!!. I went back to the dining to finish what I started. You see me and food, unless it is poisoned, I no dey take eye see food, make e waste. I used chill water to finish my plate of food. Finishing my food, I went to my room to sleep, because tears filled my eyes. I never knew consuming lots of pepper could get one teary.
I waited for my uncle to return from work, so we can discuss how I will be leaving the house to visit places. When he returned I told him, about my tour wish round the city. He objected to it, but when I told him about my experience and skills in locating my way, whenever am lost, he allowed me, but gave me some cash to pay my way home, when am lost.
I collected the money and thank him, I left the house by 6am the next morning, since I had knowledge of how disastrous is Lagos traffic. Where was I even going to? I don't even know, I just wanted touring the city. I trekked some distance from the house, all this while I was keeping my fans posted. ***Jagan has gone to tour the city of lagos*** was the title and phew! A lot of people started commenting. And even the girl that was giving me tough time in uyo, she quickly sent me some love emojis. I was so happy, and that was all the energy I wanted to complete the rest of my day.
Ojuelegba! Ojuelegba!! I heard a coarse voice screamed. It was a tetanus yellow type of bus. Am sure you are wondering why I called it tetanus. If you mistakenly touched the body of the bus, you could wound and it will not end well. You fit get tetanus. Few minutes later, the rough looking guy exclaimed 'mu owo re', I was just looking at the portable look alike. I no dey understand you, I said. Oga gimme money, no dey look me like tolotolo" he said. I quickly, dipped my hand inside my pocket.
*Wonderful! Merciful God!!! I exclaimed.*

Change Your Mindset But Not Your Goal
*Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, shift your energy to what you can create.” – Roy T. Bennett*
Once Upon a time in the city of Lancistium, They lived with a young orphan, her name was Rachael. She lost her parents at a very tender age, so was made to stay with her aunt. Her aunt had two children who were both older than Rachael, everyone loved her.
She wasn't enrolled in school yet because she was underage, but was always keen on listening to gist about school from her cousins. They were nice people, so they told her everything, including the difficult part about studying. She got to know how nobody ever got an 'A' grade in Mathematics which made her dread the subject even before she was admitted. She developed hatred for mathematics without knowing what it was, to her it was the toughest subject and nobody ever made it.
Two years later she was enrolled in school, she still nursed the mindset of mathematics being a difficult subject to pass. She performed well in other subjects but when it comes to mathematics she always had a bad result.
She was called by her counsellor, who congratulated her for her incredible performance but questioned her about her poor mathematics grade. She was so open with the counsellor and told her about her fear of 5 years.
The counselor smiled and gave her words of encouragement, advising her to let go of her fears, and put in the same effort like she did in other subjects. She headed to the advice and her performance in mathematics improved. She graduated with the best grade ever recorded since the creation of her school.
She delivered the valedictory speech during her graduation, she spoke about many things, the struggles and challenges every student faces. Expressing gratitude to everyone and mostly to the school counselor. Her last statement was powerful, ' Have always wished to be the best in all my endeavors, making sure I dot my I's and cross my t's where necessary, before I began studies, I was told of how difficult passing mathematics was, And I went with the mindset. I had outstanding grades in other subjects except for mathematics. I had to change my mindset about the subject and not my goal as I have always wanted to be the best. Today, I am happy to tell everyone I made it through mathematics.
The story above explained the concept of failure beginning from our mindset. Our thoughts have a big influence on our goals and it is likely the failure encountered might not be as a result of you not putting in your best, but because of your approach to the matter at hand.
It is not possible for me to get this job, my qualifications are way too low and this tints our composure and self esteem, forgetting that an employee might access other qualities like composure, self esteem and how lovely you are. But here you are being robbed of a job due to your low qualification, which wasn't a necessity.
In relationships, our mindset could also affect our choice of a partner. Thinking you are not good enough or has all it takes to be in a relationship. Most people allow their physical appearance to limit who they talk to. I have a friend who is physically ugly, but never ashamed to talk to any lady, and guess what! His girlfriend is the most beautiful amongst our girlfriends. How did he achieve that, he changed his mindset from looking outward to looking at his worth inwardly. What you can give to a relationship shouldn't be all based on material things and physical appearance. Think again, what other gift do you have, oh! I am a funny type, I can sing, I am a great dancer, I am a perfect story teller, I will intoxicate your mind with my poetry. These are all amazing features you could use to capture the mind of any lady and not just your physical appearance or how much money you've got.
As a teacher what mindset do you have about your students ? They are too stubborn and dull. None of them wants to learn even when I followed your first article about changing my tactics to achieve my desired goal. Oh no! It's possible you changed your tactics but not your mindset. Being free with them doesn't stop you from writing them off in your mind. It is only when you are able to change your mindset that the tactics used, could work, aside that you will still get the same result.
Whatever sphere of life we find ourselves in, we really need to change the way we see things especially when we see them in a negative way. Change your mindset and experience tremendous results in your goals.
Do have a memorable day..

Life In Lagos City...(1)
Waking up to the usual horns of cars, trucks and motorcycles is a part of our routine life in the city. I was told I will get used to it, But for the time being am still unsure of ever adapting to this chaotic lifestyle.
Here is my story;
My name is Emmanuel, I am a Nigerian from the southern part of the country. Life over there is simpler. Am a student, and I know you must be wondering if I haven't learned about the city lifestyle. I have but not experienced it, as the say experience is the best teacher.
Due to the hold on tertiary education, I decided to visit my uncle who stays in the city, Lagos to be precise to spend quality time with him. As we are not sure of going to school this year.
The eagerness to experience life in the city deprived me of sleep in the night, so I stayed alll night fantasizing of all the moments I will spend in Lagos. I woke up very early in the morning to prepare as the journey will be a long one, since I will be traveling in a bus. I ate little of my breakfast for fear of an experience I had in one of my travels. Took my bag and waved goodbye to everyone, my friends, parents and siblings. It was a tough one for them but I was happy I will start telling them tales about the city, especially my long distance of travel. And finally I will be called 'Jagaban' by my friends, don't ask me the meaning but that is the name for people who traveled to Lagos.
Walking to the park with my shoulders so high, you might think I had boils in my armpit. I walked directly to the counter and spoke at the top of my voice, so everyone would hear I was going to Lagos. And I got the attention I wanted, they all turned and stared in my direction. I got a ticket and finally I was on the bus. I waved at every stranger at the park, I was so happy to leave. Few hours into the journey, I was already watching a Yoruba drama, hoping to get a glimpse and also master some words before I stepped foot in Lagos. Lucky for me, all I could catch so fast was 'Ekaaro' which I memorized till I got to Lagos.
After hours of the journey, we stopped for people to get something to eat. I stepped down and thought I was already in Lagos. I smiled thinking it was a perfect time to show them I came prepared. I looked at one of the sellers, and said 'Ekaaro' with all confidence and charisma. She smiled and told me 'Am fine' was all she said. I smiled at her, but deep down I was satisfied that I had gotten a meaning for my Yoruba word.
Few minutes later, we started our journey again, ha! Driver, is this playing, what kind of playing is this, was all that was going on in my mind. Lo and behold, we passed the school gate of the university of Benin, then I realized we still had a long way to go.
I went back to my online Yoruba tutorials, though they said a lot of things, since I wasn't conversant with the dialect, I became bored and decided to listen to some music.
I slept off and woke up and we still weren't close to Lagos. I was too eager to get home, so I decided to ask someone sitting beside me. She told me, we just entered Ondo state. Wonderful, Merciful God!!! I only wanted to visit Lagos and not tour around Nigeria, I exclaimed. She smiled and assured me, soon we will be in Lagos.
At last, I was in Lasgidi, finally a Jagaban. It was almost 9pm. Decided to try out the word I had mastered after hours of watching the movie. I walked up to a POS attendant, and said 'ekaaro' , he looked at me confused, and he replied **'E kaaro ni akoko yii, se e daadaa? '** I was confused and had to explain to him, I wasn't a Yoruba man. He laughed at me heavily and told me the meaning. Wow! So I actually greeted someone good morning by 9pm, wonderful, merciful God, I exclaimed.
It was already late but I had to keep my fans at home posted, so I brought out my phone and took some pictures, making sure the BRT buses would enter. And I tagged the photos 'Jagaban in lasgidi". When I uploaded them on my social media I got a lot of reactions and comments. I smiled, at least I felt what all these celebrities do feel whenever they posted online. Had to inform my uncle I was in town, and a few minutes later, his driver came and we went home.
I narrated my ordeal at the park to my cousins and they all laughed at me. But I learnt something the hard way, the next morning I walked up to my uncle and greeted him 'ekaaro sir', he answered and my cousin began giggling. I knew she was going to expose my little secret, which she did without delay, my uncle laughed and we spoke about a lot of things before he left for work. I walked to the dining table to eat. Why on earth will the cook empty a bag of pepper into my stew, I said softly. When I lifted my eyes, she was standing in front of me. I knew I had enrolled myself into the vawulence academy. Wonderful! Merciful God!! I exclaimed….

Change Your Tactics But Not Your Goal
*If you want to succeed and leave your competitors behind, you need great plans and even greater strategies - Pooja Agnihotri .*
Once Upon A time, In a Far away kingdom called Jejistiva, the people of this kingdom were all farmers, and basically depended on their products for survival and commercial purposes. The land was fruitful and there was plenty to eat, which attracted a lot of visitors .One day Calamity struck, the land was infested by locusts. They ate their crops and wreaked havoc on their farms. Everyone became devastated, they consoled themselves with the hope of the next planting season becoming better.
The next planting season became the worst, as their food stored from previous seasons, were almost exhausted and the dangerous insects still troubling the land.
All the crops in the land were destroyed except for the fisherman's farm. His crops were green, healthy and fruitful. Everyone wanted to know his secret but the secret was staring at them. He used his fishing net to make a tent over his crops, this prevented the locusts from devouring his farm produce. The next planting season everyone followed his technique and they were able to put the locust away from the land.
The above story portrayed a group of people who had the same goal of growing crops for consumption and commercial purposes. They shared the same planting principle which gave them high yields for decades. This principle was questioned by the infestation by locusts. Though it was a huge blow to the community, they had no other technique as they repeated the same steps they have been using for years. It should have yielded the same plenteous harvest but they had a limiting factor.
We are often faced with these challenges of accomplishing our goals using the same idea, methods and principles. When we are met with several barricades (failures) we run from our goals. To us they seem impossible to accomplish.
The problem lies in the approach to the goals, the ideas we used. Rather than putting all your effort into achieving your goal, why not focus on your tactics to achieve your goals.
I know it sounds a little bit confusing but there is a thin line between focusing on achieving a goal and focusing on tactics to achieving a goal.
When we focus on achieving a goal, we are almost bombarded with only the outcome of achieving our set goals but when we focus on tactics used, we will be experimenting in different approaches to achieving our set goals.
*Quite confusing ? Let's go back to the story used above;*
All the farmers had the same motive of producing green and healthy crops using the same crude methods of clearing the farm, digging up holes and planting their seeds and waiting for it to grow. That was a technique they used before their ordeal with the locust.
Another farmer, who was also a fisherman, had to sit to reason a way out of the situation. He devised a means by using his fishing net to make a barricade around his farmer. This was an unusual tactic which took the locust colony by surprise and it yielded great results.
Everyone had the same idea of producing healthy crops but not everyone had the idea to change their tactic. If you want to achieve set goals, you need to change your tactic.
If you are a student who wants to pass with higher and better grades, you need to change your approach to studies. In your previous days, you study for five hours, and you are done for the day, obviously, that's how everyone else studies. If you want to get higher grades, you need to change your studying tactic, rather than study for five hours and close for the day. Why not study for seven hours, at the end of your study. You attempt some questions regarding what you just read. And the next day, before you study new topics, you go over what you read the previous day. This will enhance your mental alertness and boost self confidence. Remember your goal shouldn't be focused on just passing with higher grades, but also to develop the courage to defend those grades whenever you are reckoned to do so.
That was just a tactic I have been using and it has helped me get both good grades and boost self confidence.
Changing tactics will require a lot of self discipline and motivation. We often get demoralized after a series of trials and failures. So before trying out new tactics, you need to encourage yourself and also promise yourself that you will be victorious. It's a tactic used by most of our famous achievers. It won't be easy trying again but it will, if only you can reassure yourself it was going to be the last, though most times, it's never the last. I call this technique the mind trick, convincing yourself to do something even when you are not sure of success.
If you want to make more sales in your business, rather than switching lines of business, why not analyze the general approach to clients. How did you treat them? How does your sale's representative treat them too? Are they always satisfied with your service? If not, what can you do to enhance your services? This is no time to start calculating your profits. But a great time to evaluate your general performance. Little acts like smiling at a customer, helping them make a choice (not compelling them) could be all the tactics needed to boost your business. If your workers are not satisfying your clients, its better to change them than lose valuable clients, these are all little tactics which if introduced in business will boost productivity. You don't have to switch from selling bags to running a coffee shop, you just have to sit and re-strategize your past techniques.
As a teacher, how well do students understand you, rather than bombard them with a series of homework and mental sums? Why don't you sit to evaluate your method of teaching. Your main aim is to educate and the students being able to replicate 65-80% of what you taught. Analyzing your teaching technique will help boost your career. The use of pictures, drawings, telling of stories or even telling jokes while teaching could be all you need to achieve your aim. Be open to questions and don't be too scary to approach, I never liked my Mathematics teacher because she was too rude, and that was what made me perform poorly in all my examinations.
**In Conclusion**
Wherever sphere of life we find ourselves, whatever goal we've set and no matter the number of attempts we've made. Don't change your goals for your failed attempts but change your tactics. This will help us explore other options, rather than sticking to the same technique and getting the same result.
