Global stock markets
Those who go up have to fall down. This lesson has been taught to all the investors very brutally by the markets. This dreamland of 2021 is over and reality is sinking in steadily. Valuations which had hit all time highs in 2021 are seeing rapid corrections.
United States has lead the meltdown while, markets in developed world have followed suit. Chinese market has been weak due to administrative actions by Chinese communist party. Indian markets have been resilient and quite overvalued.
Quantitative tightening by federal reserve as well as other big central banks could land economies in recession yet it's brunt is already being felt by markets. World over lofty valuation has given way to some value in stocks. Yet principles of buying good companies at reasonable amounts remain the most practical strategy as shared by Warren buffet time and time again.
Fortunately for me I was not in the party previous year so it is correct time for me to look for good companies with strong growth outlook and future. When market were correcting I took some bet.
First stock that I bought was a bank. It was biggest bank of my country having some structural reforms and the juncture at which my country is, it is due for a strong growth path.
Second stock that I invested was an engineering company. It has been the best company in its segment and has made name for itself world across. Company is also making it's forays in technological sector which will aid its future growth.
Third company in which I invested was insurance behemoth. Covid has taught that how important insurance is for middle class and poor people. Governments all across globe have been subsidizing insurance so that all people can have access to it. So my guess is that insurance sector is bound to grow and owning little stake is good for me.
After long time opportunities have arrived with markets already in bear phase it is advisable to people to look for good companies which can give you handsome returns in next decade or so. As Peter lynch said you have to look 20 to find one, that is the ratio which you all must work with and should exhaustively look for all nitty gritty of the business. I hope you all succeed in your endeavor of becoming a good investor and a rich person.
One disclaimer which I want to give you all is that I have been investing for only 9 months. My experience is as good as a beginner. But I have tried my best to amass as much knowledge as possible combining it with current events to have better understanding as investor. I am no guide to you all, just a sign board indicating path traversed by an individual in his little journey in investing.

Balance in life
One strategy that I often use in my life is of middle path. When Buddha propounded this theorem he was being realist and meeting the requirements of this mortal world. While all theories of life describe life in somewhat idealist point of view, i think middle path is strikes the chord with normal beings who are looking for simple tools to uplift their lives and alleviate their sufferings.
We come across all sorts of situations in life. I think we all are destined to learn everything life has to offer. Some learn in graceful manner while some others are thrashed by life to send a message. Both ways have their own beauty. I have been on both the sides and with certainty can say latter one is painful yet also brings more changes.
One thing that is sure about life is uncertainty. Everytime you expect something, infinite ways are there that is may not fructify yet same number of ways could make it true also. But in this game of probability the best bet is not betting yet hedging for uncertain events that may occur. What i mean by the statement is that predicting something in life is predicting failure better way to live life is to make oneself more resilient to shocks that may arise any time. Covid is a great example.
We make decisions everyday. If whenever I have to choose between two extremes I go with middle path. For example if you have your schedule for exam fixed but at the same time you also want to make some time for your loved ones, what you should do is to take middle path that is you should curate your study time table that you set aside one or two hours for your loved ones. This not only helps in studying but also keeps you sane so that you can sustain longer period of time.
Middle path is taken by individuals, society, law, countries,etc. It is one of the most practical widely accepted theory which basically portrays human mind most accurately, that is middle path is natural order of thought that is it is natural for humans to think that way.
In this fractured world with divisive forces emerging every here and there we need some practical solutions which is acceptable as most natural solution. And I believe answer lies in the history we would have to look around 2500 years back and we will reach to one of the most plausible and practical idea given by Buddha to humanity. We must act on guidance of our ancestors and solve contemporary problems.
War of narratives
"Fascist forces have attacked democracy and we must unite to defeat it", or " fascism has taken over our neighborhood and we must take actions to prevent them from causing damage". These both are statements regarding the same Russia Ukraine conflict but it varies from where you are listening.
When Russia invaded Ukraine, the first thing west did was to stop Russian media from spreading it's viewpoint although contrasting to their self proclaimed ideals of liberty and free speech but this move deserves attention.
We are in the age where wars are not just one off incidents, but continuous stream of parlays. It doesn't stop for recoup but it goes on forever. It is being described as hybrid warfare, where more than dynamite posts on social media are more lethal. Civil society is the player and it is victim also.
Hybrid warfare includes many elements. Cyber warfare is the face of hybrid warfare. It goes on 24^7 and rogue as well as state sponsored elements try to achieve their objectives respectively.
Second form of hybrid warfare is war of narratives. When Americans were given a bloody nose in Afghanistan, Pakistan deep state played a pivotal role of designing narratives in favor of taliban and giving them an edge in warfare.
Media plays a very important role in narrative making. It add layers of analysis on plain facts and turn it to suit it's own agenda. Like I gave you example from beginning of my article I laid down how a similar story is being read differently in different countries to have their versions spread more widely. It is very natural for humans to have differences yet such contrasting views on a particular issue is only a deliberate attempt.
Think tank, journals and social media is also a part of a whole, which comprises of instruments that have profound impact on wide populations. But if we see the balance in terms of number of instrument available to opposing side in Ukraine conflict we see balance is highly skewed in favor of the west. So it is very natural that overall perspective that will emerge out of this war would be in favor of the west.
Third Civil society is being used to meet interest of different sections. For example clerics from Iran uses their influence across Muslims in different countries to persuade countries to have better ties with Iran, similar story goes with pope. Same tactics are being employed by non governmental organizations as well as multinationals to gain influence.
War in Ukraine has taught us that besides having a fighting army we must also have computer warriors who can contribute significantly in turning the tide in our favor. Similarly Warfield has increased and wars are being fought amongst us. Government all across must expand their infrastructure to deal with online miscreants but at the same time we also become warriors. When 8 billion people fight it will certainly dwarf government's capabilities hence we must also fight our fight to secure free open world less poisonous from poison of anarchy.

Famous personalities and qualities that I admire
We are vessels in infinite sea. Where is the shore is hard to guess, but there are few lighthouse which have lighted this earth for sometime and continues to illuminate this planet generations after generations. In this article I have enumerated my idols growing up and qualities that I admire about them.
Muhammed ali: he was the first idol I had. He was just too good. Not only he brought fame to his game but also inspired generations to stand up for what is right. His never give up attitude, his flair, his smartness and his humbless are elements of envy. When he was there he was the only one there. Nobody has matched his level of admiration. He was just not one of many. Till the time he was there world was a better place.
Indira gandhi: she was the first woman prime Minister of india. Her iron fist policy kept things stable and she took fear reaching reforms in all areas. Her courage and leadership is what I admire the most. With her ascendancy to the post of prime Minister it was the single biggest event for woman empowerment in india.
Steve Jobs: he was a pioneer and a revolutionary. He revolutionized the mobile industry forever and he also expedited the growth in wireless technology. His mantra of stay hungry and stay foolish is what I keep close to my heart. He was fired from his own company but he returned to make it one of the most valuable company of the world. His struggles in early life can motivate even the most pessimistic people. He could light up the gathering in seconds. He was someone who set the trend.
Cristiano ronaldo: he needs no introduction. He is a brand himself. From being a normal kid from Portugal to the most known face in the world, he has had a phenomenal journey. He rose to the stardom with his skills and brain. He is a hard worker and extremely competitive person. His never give up attitude is what makes him special. He completely fit the name beauty and the beast.
Elon musk: the current darling of tech world. He swings the stock market like tennis ball even with his tweets. He walk his talk. Extremely hard working and never give up attitude. He is considered iron man in real life. Cannot say about his body but his mental strength is definitely something of envy. He has two big companies under his watch.

Food to think
Reading is quintessential for development of human brain. To help people who are struggling to start reading, I have summarized few books which everyone should read. They range from diverse topics so that everyone can find their choice in it.
The alchemist: If one fictional book which everyone should read that must have to be the alchemist. It is a love story in which how the hero encounters various difficulties of life and in the end reaches the desired point. Each and everyone will find herself in the protagonist and his struggles will remind very much of our lives. There is a concept of omen in alchemist which means that if you are bound to do something, universe will conspire so that it happens. Corollary if you are bound to read alchemist, this article will be the reminder from universe.
Bhagavat geeta: this book is the most influential self help book ever written in the history of mankind. It is a section of world largest and most voluminous epic mahabharata. This book in my opinion has been read by almost all the great personalities be it Einstein or Oppenheimer who quoted the verse of gita when he developed atomic bomb. It tells you about various yoga of life. There are four of them and all will make you a better individual. I have become a better person by reading it multiple times I hope you do it too.
Arthashastra: this book is written by kautilya he was the strategist of a great empire. He made a young boy chandragupta from a student to the undisputed emperor who went on to defeat descendants of Alexander. He took the revenge of the insult, when the current emperor humiliated kautilya, a teacher by profession of not worthy of anything. Kautilya proved that emperor wrong by showing how a teacher can transform generations. Book is a must for all politicians.
Art of war: This great book from tsun zu is a war classic. No book on War has been read more than this book. It describes how a commander should behave and control his men. It also talk about war by any means, it is followed religiously by Chinese policymakers. It is also a manual of leadership I feel.
The prince: This book is on statecraft. This book was written by machiavelli. It was written for prince to learn and understand how to rule. But I think it should be read by each and every individual. It has some great lessons for budding leaders. It also make a person aware about the realities of life.
In the first tranche I have emphasized on putting heavyweights but if you ever read them You will be much better off than before.

A planet to save
It is widely quoted that " we have not inherited our planet from our forefathers but borrowed it from our grandchildren ". This quote aptly conveys the message of how we should use this planet for our survival. But we we are doing is to put the gas on and waiting for it to catch fire.
The current state of environmental activities will not solve the grave slide and perilous situation that await us. Fire activities in developed countries, extreme climate all across the world, unseasonal rainfall and recurring of cyclone these are just the trailers of a horrific movie that will unfold before us. The irony would be that we would be bound to watch our own disaster.
But all is not lost. Various reports by united nations' organs have pointed how grave the situation is yet Saving our home is not a lost cause yet. We have played long with the environment now it is time to take responsibility and fix it. But what is the way forward?
First step is to recognize that climate change is real and it is a global problem. If we do that then our actions will be global in nature and coordination would be better.
The next step would be to find most polluting industries and prioritize them according to our needs. For example energy sector is what fuels the life of modern human but it also accounts for huge carbon emissions. So how do we find sustainable energy options. One such solution is Hydrogen. It is one of the most easily available element of universe and its combustion leads to formation of water with no carbon emissions. Other techniques like fuel cell and solar are also good substitute.
Third we must draw our short term, medium term and long term priorities and goals. Extravagant life in few countries and mere survival in others are two extreme in human society. Both must give way to lifestyle of nature which is compatible with long term sustainability and care for the nature.
Each section of society has a responsibility this time. While the elders must take the lead and should guide our policies for future, the kids must be educated of what can happen and how to stop it.Youth of all countries must come forward to dictate policies as when we grow up we will face the wrath of nature not the politicians of current generation. We currently have squeezed time to act and save ourselves. If not we will have no planet to care for us and take our cocky attitude.

Month of consistency and growth
March has been fabulous for me. Not only I wrote articles consistently but also ventured on diverse topics. From the very beginning I have used read.cash as a platform for my growth in writing skills. So result is there for everyone to see.
In March I have written 16 articles on various topics. They have ranged from stock markets to self help. Writing these articles have elevate my standard of written English. I have tried to be creative at the same time engaging with readers. I have been successful in doing that in few articles. But one constant trouble I have faced is to make my articles coherent. To those who don't know what this means, a simple definition would be if chain of thought is there or not. To explain better suppose you are Writing article on health. You started by introducing health, then for sometime you ventured in money and other factor in between you remembered your medical college days and ending at natural causes of disease. To write in such a manner will be haphazard and will cease to convey effectively.
There are various techniques which I used to write an article. The first one is to have a catchy headline, to have an engaging headline is important because it is hard to attract readers. The second thing is to have a proper structure in mind. How you will start, what to write in body of the article and how to finish. This helps in coherent writing. Few more ideas which one should keep in mind are interesting topic, easy vocabulary and grammatically correct sentences.

A peaceful day
World has become a chaotic place where People are becoming slave of social media. Life outside 6 inch screen is diminishing and every passing day depression is taking shape of pandemic. But why we need to fall in this trap? Why not we just realize few fundamentals of life and cure ourselves of this suffering?
Monk and Saint are the only people thinking about life and its aim. I think it is in our interest to take a step back and see if we are intended for what we are doing. To have an aim provides clarity to our acts, hence saving time and energy. Someone rightly said "people are moving fast, but without direction ". To be in a situation like that is horrible.
After having an aim you must constantly strive to achieve that. The difference between your desire and your actual output is stress, hence you must ensure working everyday towards your goal. If by chance you exceed your expectations that difference will give you joy.
Staying away from different stress factors is important. Social media is the biggest most widely spread stressor. Number of people who cannot imagine life without Social media is increasing at depressing rate. The point about social media is that it shows life of individual which is all happy, but as we know happiness and sadness are balance of life. If at any point life tilt towards any one of them soon be prepared that other side is coming. Hence decreasing social media time is vital for peaceful state of mind.
Meditation and yoga can help in normal functioning of body and brain. If aided with balanced diet can ameliorate almost all physical aspects which may cause problems. Physical exercise initiate healthy blood flow and also remove stressor which are known as free radicals.
The lap of nature is most peaceful. We originated in nature but when we started competing with it, we are facing wrath of it. But whenever we return in lap of nature it will not stop providing us its bountiful care and healing. People are moving back to their roots, I think this move it important for sustainability and also for peace of humankind.
Soft touch of our loved one is again essential. Some people in life just take away all of our sorrow in seconds. We should always hold their hand. Family is a protective net, even if you fall from anywhere, there are people who will look after you unconditionally. This provides lot of comfort and make us peaceful from inside.
These all are my recipes for a peaceful day. I try my best to religiously stick to them, but humans have falling and I am no different. I too get stressed occasionally and sometimes take time to realize that. But life is a fight, win lies in not giving up.

While Adam Smith talked about why some countries are rich while others are poor, in this article I want to take this topic to individual level. Why few people are rich, and others are poor?
There could be various reasons we can attribute to the wealth of few individuals. There are many natural factors like sharp brain, rich family, society, country and many more which makes few people more likely to succeed. Rather than analyzing distribution of creator we rather discuss common traits which existed in each rich individual.
Big dreams and hard work, these are two faces of the same coin. Seeing big dreams is the prerequisite to any success. As Mohammad ali said and I quote " if your dreams doesn't make you afraid, they are not big enough". I really feel that there should be no boundaries to dream, they should be as big as space. After seeing big dreams you must work hard to realize them. Every single day when you work towards dream is a blessing and it really feels special when you are tiring yourself out for something big.
Courage is a big factor why few people are rich. It takes huge courage to achieve something which has not been achieved. To live with fear, to get used to of feelings of failure. But as someone wisely said "sometimes winning is not giving up". Wealth come to you when you are willing to go bust yet not give up your dream.
By Wealth you can pay for anything, but for acquiring it you have to pay a price. You have to sacrifice your relationship time, family time, your time with friends and any possible time you used to devote except studies. You are taxed mentally and physically. Stress is your most reliable friend and anxiety lives close to your heart. But in all these who look for that 1 reason of not giving up really achieve something.
At last earning wealth, most of the people manage it. But to invest and consume in proper way is vital. Investment is deferred consumption that is you save to consume later because all your current needs are met. Investment should be in diverse areas. You can have portfolio and could also invest in commodities. Buying piece of land is most basic Investment people make, and it is quite beneficial. But Investment in land are not liquid meaning when you require money selling piece of land is hectic. Another safe investment is government bond or corporate bond. They are safe instrument of investment. Third would be mutual fund if you don't know stock market and stock markets directly if you know about them. Crypto currency is another venue for investment but I would say people should wait for technology to mature, currently it is quite risky.

Body of iron, nerves of steel
This famous quote from famous hindu Saint swami vivekanand is one of my favorite quotes. It very aptly place body and nerve in their respective importance. While iron is strong, steel is stronger. Corollary body needs to be strong, but nerves must be stronger.
Mental weakness is the first step for being preyed on by predators. It is the mentality which makes lion, lion. Alexander said:
" I'm not afraid of pride of lion led by a sheep, but herd of a sheep led by a lion ".
Problems of being a weak person mentally are manifold. But I would like to enumerate a few:
A yes man: person who is weak mentally would never be able to aggregate adequate strength to object to anyone in his life. That person would live his life pleasing others. He will never develop self esteem which is again very important problem.
Self esteem: lack of self esteem make a person believe that others work is always more important than his work. His live for others. This seems nice that a person is devoting his life for others but it is not because he want, but is due to the fact that he has no vision for himself. How many of us are willing to be the first in any field? How many of us are living our own dreams?
Candle problem: I have seen many people extinguishing their lives for others. My this point may be contentious yet I will still make it. Many of us are dependent on the leader of our group to do something or our family members to do something. We don't want to stand up and sort our lives on our own. We have become use to of a candle which extinguish it's own life and light our path like our parents and teachers did for us.
Lack of courage: mentally weak persons are not daring person. They suffer because they cling on to something for too long. Trait of a good is to take leap of faith on the very first available opportunity because nobody else would be willing to do it. Calculative risk is the fastest way to change fortune and necessary to save oneself from suffering.
These all symptoms are also the cause of mental weakness. But now how to ameliorate this all pervasive problem which exists everywhere:
Take care of yourself: be selfish and take care of yourself. Your live can only be lived by you.
Be kind to yourself because nobody else will.
Keep talking and instructing yourself. Be your own teacher.
Do hard work: come out of your comfort zone and confront the world. Exceed your expectations by working extremely hard.
Consume what you want to become: eat healthy food to be healthy similarly access good thoughts to have calm mental setup.
Be a hard task master: set ambitious targets. Even if you achieve them partly you will become much better version of yourself.
Always remind yourself that no one was born strong. Some people were born in strong families, yet God graced you with abundant will power to have everything you desire. Make use of it and fly above the sky. All the best.

Growth is multidimensional and a necessity for human beings. But what is the better than to empower the people of a nation and giving them wings to fly!
Economic Miracles has happened in various parts of the globe. Rise of China from nothing to a global power within 4 decade is a miracle. East Asian tigers have reached the level of growth within very short span of time. These countries grew on traditional wisdom of free market and also unique experiences of their own. With protectionist voices rising future growth will have to be more than traditional wisdom of free markets. Some possible growth theories are:
Consumption based growth: if allocation of resources/wealth happens more equitably then Consumption growth can propel economy. For example rich has too much wealth for current consumption, so they save. While if some of the riches of affluent people is distributed then it will reach to all those who need it for their current consumption. This will create demand, which will induce investment, which then will create employment hence more equitable distribution of wealth. So efficient resource allocation can initiate virtuous cycle of growth. But mapping poor efficiently has been a cause of concern worldwide. A efficient solution to this problem has been working in india. The architecture is known as aadhar which is a biometric identity of each individual in the country. Based on this government has identified targeted beneficiaries and has been a live saver in the Pandemic.
Services based growth: when unitec states became comparatively disadvantaged for manufacturing goods everyone thought how will united states grow. But decades later united states has proved cynics wrong by remaining the biggest economy of the world. It has achieved this on back of services led growth. Big giants you name a few are all united states based companies. United States got huge help from migration. They opened their country to talented people across globe resulting in huge skilled manpower which drove its growth in last few decades.
Innovation based growth: Although all resource contribute towards growth but none stand in comparison with human capital. This is the most important tool which enables all kind of growth. Capitalism excels because it believes in human capabilities and innovation. State however powerful is just a fraction of human resource. Whole is always bigger than the part. Creating infrastructure physical and to meet requirements of 21st century virtual is needed. Ecosystem and policies must be in place to aid individuals in their endeavors. Education system must work as feeder Institute toward creating valuable human resources. If all this is put in place, then excellence of individual will bring enormous results. People like elon musk and Steve Jobs will come to take benefits of these settings and will bring revolution on earth.
While policies and trade environment are many aspects of growth. But one thing which is ubiquitous to growth is human resource. We must empower humans and countries who will succeed in empowering their people will succeed in driving another miracle.

The next revolution
I am an investor and constantly looking for next big opportunity to buy stocks. While normal trading and investing are profitable there is nothing like riding the wave of revolution!
World has witnessed various innovations which have revolutionized the world forever. Let us take example of a bulb. When Thomas Alva Edison made it, who thought a time would come when lightning will be indispensable part of life of a human being. Similar are the stories for steam engine or resistors which later gave birth to it revolution.
It revolution has created behemoth like Apple, Facebook, Google and has aided so many billion dollars of value creation. Imagine if you have rides in any of these revolution. Imagine had you bought stock of Apple or any other giant in its initial phases, what would have happened?
Let me disclose you the secret. The next big revolution. While there are many simultaneously taking shape including which we all are part of( crypto currency), some are worth noting and will have impact on lives of human most profoundly.
ENERGY: Climate change is a real issue, unfortunately we have woken late to this fact. Various reports of united nations have highlighted, how we are ruining the future of our grandchildren. Earth temperature has already risen about 1.1 centigrade with respect to pre industrial revolution level. Threat of it reaching higher than 2 centigrade is almost real, which will make irreversible changes in earth ecosystem and we will pay a great price of it. Now out of all gloomy stuff that I have highlighted here there are few things as investors we must look at:
Current energy production is not environmental friendly. Coal, crude, natural gas have big problems. They create pollution but are susceptible to end in some time. Wind and solar are good alternative but they also have some limitations. So in my opinion next big thing is Hydrogen.
A fuel is good when it is being implemented everywhere and doesn't have limitations of its predecessor. I think Hydrogen tick the bill. We can create as much Hydrogen as we want by electrolysis of water, for it we require energy. Currently we can use solar for that purpose but as technology matures it can become self sustaining. By product of Hydrogen combustion is water which is eco friendly.
Hydrogen has attracted attention of policymakers across the world. If deployed it can solve the problem of sustainability in energy sector and our future generations could enjoy energy security. So all the budding investors must look at this sector once and should analyze the situation.

Pandemic of education
Last two years have been disastrous for education systems across the world. No of children who have been left behind are enormous, while learning loss amongst those who remained in the system is huge. Why in the Pandemic of diseases we are suffering Pandemic of education?
Situation of education systems across world was not perfect when we entered the Pandemic. If we take case of developed world, prices were high, government support in research was lacking and the only saving grace for developed world was migration visas. It helped them in fishing best talents across the world and show their education systems to be good.
If we talk about developing and under developed world picture is more grim. Lack of funds, infrastructure and adequate attention is not given to education as a whole. These countries Harbour best of the talents yet find it hard to make use of them.
When Pandemic hit us the most essential thing was to save lives. But as restrictions eased need to bring children back to school arose. Loss was considered tragic as how many girls would have got married during this time. How many boys would have started doing Labour works. How much students have lost in these two years.
How do we solve this problem. First thing is to make education system flexible. Education must be tailored according to the needs of the child. Syllabus must be shortened for coming years and prioritization of the text need to be ensured. Online education should be used to complement offline education. Vacations need to be utilized better. Overhauling of the education system is needed. Political will and awareness amongst people is also required. Mushrooming of the startup in education system is a good news. Startup will aid in learning of the students while they may bring university closer to home. Under develop world need education in their fight against poverty. Philanthropic activities and non government organization have started penetrating these regions but we can do more to alleviate the suffering of one corner of the world.
While previous two years have been the years of courageous acts of doctors, the next two will be the years of teachers. Students must also aid the teachers in their endeavors and should study hard to bridge learning gap. Human will can cross all the obstacles, I am sure we will come out of the Pandemic of education with high marks.

Human festivity
Festivals are events we wait eagerly for. It is this time of year we forget all our miseries of life and enjoy for time being. Festivals are celebrated for various reasons across various regions. Some are based on mythology while some are based on new year. Sometimes big sporting events also gets eugolised into festivity. But irrespective of the reasons festivals does bring hope and enjoy into the life of people. It helps them come out of their monotonous mundane life and see big picture, analyze where they are and where they are going.
There are various aspects of festivals that need attention. I would like to elaborate on few:
Social: festivals are festivals because they engage society and people. We all have seen people reaching famous places and count backwards during new years. People taking bath in tomato pulp is also a huge crowd seeker. While diwali also attracts huge crowds, be it fireworks or sweet both bring people more closer.
Political: festival is good time for people doing politics of liberal values as well as for nationalistic champions. While liberals can celebrate all festivals and enjoy being global citizens. Nationalistic politicians also score some browny points by eugolizing their great heritage and culture. But festivals does enthusiaze both opposite factions.
Economic: festivals are a great source for economic activities. They not only provide employment for huge population but also increase equality by more income to poorer section. Let me explain with two examples: first let's consider rose day, which is important for few people. At that time of February prices of rose rises which help in farmer gaining more profits. It also increases equity of wealth as more effluent people buy roses and not so rich farmer gain from it. Second example is of diwali. On diwali million of oil lamps are lighted which are made up of soil. This not only create huge employment but also create income for poor households.
Global: people of all religions, all regions, race ,caste and sex come together to celebrate these festivals. It helps nation come together and show solidarity with each other.
Individual: I for personally wait eagerly for festivals. First reason is that it is holiday on these days, which I seek desperately. Secondly I have some good happy moments with my family members, due to paucity of time I have not been able to spend these days, but on festivals I ensure it. Mental health improves. We all are becoming victims of lifestyle of 21st century hence it provides much needed space to breath again and stop being factors of production.
I feel for all these reasons we must enjoy our festivals and also take part in other's happiness.

Why I smile in random places?
People must have been calling me mad.

Why I suddenly started caring for everyone around me?
Maybe I am being cared these days.
Why my dreams are beautiful again?
Because she comes everyday in my dreams to wake me up.
Why I am writing these days?
Maybe I don't have someone to say what I feel. Maybe I am too afraid to ask.
I have become an ocean of desire with no outlet. I keep accumulating my feelings without letting them out. I have no courage to ask her. Maybe I have lost my self confidence. Whatever it is things keep remaining the same. But I like these days. She doesn't come to meet me, neither I try to see her. It is better that we live our lives independently and sometimes when we cross path we acknowledge each other and move on. Well these could be sign of beginning of the end, but as I said I am hopeful these days. Don't know but never have I been so sure about someone as her. I feel she has been made for me and I have been for her. Maybe if anyone could feel what I feel they will realize the depth of it.
I think life is fair. We all get equal amount of happiness and hardship. If I get her then it would amount to giving me the universe. Since life is fair I must pay for what I consume. Things will be difficult for both of us. I have seen that she is suffering as well, but as with everything this will pass. These days I am happy when I am going through a tough day, because I feel it is getting me closer to what I desire.
Today my examination was there. I completed my exam within hour and left the hall. Then I decided to take a break. After 4 days I would be seeing her. I have planned this some time ago. Now I expect that she comes and visits me. I have written this article in anticipation, so even if anything goes wrong and she doesn't come I wouldn't be sad to write an article.
Few lessons which I feel everyone must take from my story is
Choose the right person
Don't be a coward like me
Have plan to fructify your relationship
Take a leap of faith
Love is the most important part of life
Regarding third point, I feel it is an important part of relationships. For example rather than focusing on my partner I am trying to get a prestigious job. According to my own opinion this is foolish yet I feel without economics relationships will not sustain. However important love is basic necessities of life can only be fulfilled by money. Hence if you want to marry someone plan before how you will manage economics. I am not a successful example yet but still I feel I have seen some life and could give some free advice.

Space to grow
The best leaders are the one which cultivate and nurture other leaders.
Growth is essential for human beings as if you don't grow, movement of time will contract you. But it is essential that we keep in mind that we have to grow as a whole. To make it clear let me illustrate by giving example of Sergio busquest. He is a football player and plays for fc barcelona. His role in the team is facilitate attack as well as to reduce chances of opponents attack. He has been overshadowed by the likes of messi , xavi and Iniesta but he was the backbone which kept team steady and resilient.
Startup are the pioneers of new technologies and beacon of innovation. They drastically increase competition and hence bring benefits to the consumers. But if it was the case that old players didn't let anyone in. How would have an economy fared then. Well the answer to that question is economy would have collapsed. This fact has been enumerated in the writings of the economist Joseph schumpeter. He talked about the concept called creative destruction, which facilitate leapfrogging and pole vaulting.
Family is an example where everyone might connect. Don't our parents have desires, don't they want to eat good, don't they want to relax, Don't they want to visit places. But why is that they stop doing all this things. Why they sacrifice their money and time on their children. Well the answer is they want their creation to grow and grow well. They give their children all the space and time to grow.
Similar is the case of teachers. Our teachers can play mischief, can bunk classes, not bother is student is studying or not, don't consider children as their own child. Our teachers can do all of those things but still they put their heart and soul in putting in place the base of country's future. They recede so that students can expand.
If we look carefully world is full of examples where one entity keep itself restricted so that surrounding entities grow. Be it Jack of titanic who ensures that his lover doesn't suffer cold and sacrifices himself or armies across the world who suffer the brunt of foolish decisions to fight. As an individual we must ensure that we give adequate space to the people nearby because in growth of team lies the benefit of individual.

Lady luck
International women's day was on 8 March. We all expressed how grateful we are for all women who grace our lives and make it worth living.
I want to dedicate this article to my lady luck who has been nourishing me for 3 years. When I first saw her I was going through devastating phase of my life. My confidence my all but intact. My self esteem had bottomed out. Despair had for the first time entered my life. But I guess life is quite fair. For all the disastrous things happening in my life I also got compensated adequately. She was just another girl yet more than that.
I saw her smile and got attracted towards her. Within time she also saw me and got attracted. But both were unsure as we were going the right way. But how can you control your heart. Force of attraction only got stronger and with each passing day my conviction towards her got stronger.
She was the reason I started working hard consistently. I was afraid of losing her so I did all I can to strengthen my knowledge and prepare myself for the examination. Those who don't know I am appearing in a competitive exam very soon. If I succeed chances are high that I may marry her soon, even if I don't get through I still have faith that she will marry me sooner than later.
Last month was hectic for me. I complete a great amount of syllabus and got serious confidence boost. But all this happened because I rarely saw her. She came everyday in front of my house but I didn't go out. But yesterday I came out of my house and saw her face. I haven't seen her so pale ever. I felt so guilty that I ensured that I wait for her to see me. Fortunately for me when I am writing this article I saw her face. She is a bit happy and relaxed. She doesn't say anything but her body language gives too many clues. Today I decided to align my preparation in such a manner that I also spare some time for her. I don't want to make her sad even for my preparations sake. Her smile is the fuel which runs me. If with her I can do wonders. Maybe God should benevolently see my desires.
My horoscope reads that I will get success because I will have lady luck by my side. I think I can see stars aligning. I have faith on my hard work, my lady luck and cosmic powers that all these forces combine to pull off a miracle and sail the boat of this poor writer.

The blank slate
Children are most precious capital of the country. They are the slate on which destiny of a country is written. But how to mould them is a million dollar question?
I have seen parents taking all kinds of approaches to guide their children and acquaint them with this world. But I would take two approaches mainly. One that I have seen recently some of my relatives taking while other one which my parents took.
The adorable kid
I have seen some of my relatives bringing up their child thinking that they are preparing a prince to take their righteous throne. They guide their children, provide them with all the necessary information( sometimes more than that), doesn't let any obstacle touch their children and decides their future even before the child take birth. This oversensitive approach I feel is a cause of concern. Let me elaborate by giving one example. I am preparing for a competitive examination so my relatives think I am quite knowledgeable( actually they are true but only as compared to them), so one of my relative approached me asking what should I do about my son. So I asked what is the problem. He described that he is thinking about the career of this 1 year old son. I couldn't fathom the idea that a father is more concerned about the career of the child rather than having some good time with the kid and giving him all the love. Childhood will pass and believe me even you cry all the tears it won't come back( sorry words coming straight from the heart). I couldn't convince him that he should let his children off the hook and let him be free.
King of jungle
I was brought up by my mom. But she was the macro manager, while on the micro part my grandmother took great care of me. I only remember my grandmother fulfilling all my wishes as she was the most richest person. But I still adore her to this day. To me she had more power than the God himself, she could make me happy, these days it is even hard for God to do it. But the main point is that I enjoyed my childhood. I am a much more lively person today because I enjoyed my childhood really well. One analogy I often use is that I was a lion left to its own in the jungle while my parents watching from behind. I did all right and wrong things. For right thing I did I was praised and for the wrong pardoned like it never happened. But all these events shaped me into a good human being and to some extent a decent leader.

Right time to buy
Stock markets across world have been devastated by Russia Ukraine crisis. Crude has crossed 140 dollars per barrel and is wreaking havoc with the fiscal math of countries and individuals. Inflation has got more entrenched in the minds of people( meaning that people are taking decisions considering Inflation to remain in medium term). And corporate profitability will take a hit in coming months as demand has been muted by Inflation and adding to the problem is cost push which was bad due to corona pandemic has been accentuated by war in Europe. But in all this gloom the silverline has been the devastated markets or for budding investors time to buy.
Markets hate uncertainty. But I think in these turbulent times lies the heaven for young investors. Young investors basically are tormented by experience ones in early phases. When a new investor enters markets all kind of anomalies exists be it super expensive stocks or cheap ones. Most of the time these anomalies are the making of experienced investors who for their own gain form these traps.
But I feel turbulent times are the time where all experienced investors tread with caution, leaving markets with pure valuation. Here again some stocks would be cheap while others expensive but that basically tells about how big investors had their position across stocks.
So let me elaborate by giving my example as how I have taken position. So there have been many sectors which have been directly influenced by war. Crude, gas and other primary products have been the victim. Rise in prices has made demand muted but at the same time made few firm competitive as earlier they were making it costlier as per international standards.
Rather than betting on any commodity I preferred service as they were least affected by this war. I looked into information technology sector but stocks were expensive. Then I looked at banking sector while few private stocks were available at decent price but I rather looked at public sector.
Here I liked one stock which reached great heights recently and was making constant and rising profits. But due to war it shed 20% of its valuation, so I felt it was right time to invest and I spent 13k in that particular stock. I bought 30 of it.
Stock didn't gain instantly, for two days it stayed basically where I bought it but now it has gained 1% and expectations are there that it rise by 30%. I have shared my knowledge and experience. I hope it clears the air for all budding investors who learns and take lessons from what approach I took.

Women's world
I am thankful to my mom for everything. She not only brought me to this world, but also brought world to me. She has all what I aspire for. Be it courage or intellect, be it softness or strength, be it quantity of qualities or qualities of quantity. She is more than what my words can describe.
But my mother is only one of billion who run this world. I am talking about women. They are the most beautiful creature ever existed on planet earth. They are masterpiece of the creator. They do all the things, they run the show, only agony is they do it behind the curtains. If we ask one question that who is the person everyone is most thankful for, it would be hard to get an answer which doesn't sound like my mom. Everyone has a debt of their life which they owe to their mothers.
Well mother require a whole article but I will restrict myself here. Women as relatives, friends, wife, daughter and most importantly mother shapes the life of each individual. These relationship is what make us soft and tender. It is for them love as feeling exist. They are undoubtedly the gift of life to us. Women's role has not just restricted to family. Now they are creating a bigger horizon for themselves.
Women as leaders are epitome of good qualities. Research after research has pointed to the fact that women are more honest, punctual more caring towards staff, have higher emotional quotient. These all qualities what makes them a ideal leader. While men learn emotional quotient women are innately blessed with it. We have examples of women leading in all spheres be it political or economical. No of startup opened by women has been on the rise.
While for all the achievements, battles fought within and outside status of women hasn't been upto the mark. Women with potential as big as the sky deserve much more from society and patriarchal world. While one estimate stated that it will take 99 years for women to have adequate equality. This number has been further skewed and number of years has increased further.
But with all the shortcomings of our unequal world, I am still aware what role women's have played in my life. I am a product of qualities taken and borrowed from all the women who have met me at some point of time. I take this opportunity to show my appreciation and admiration for all the women who runs the show, without complaining for their adequate due. You are the best in the world.

Elastic brain
I had a conversation with my friend. He blamed all the things in the world for a bad happened to him. I suggested him a way out, but he was deeply engrossed in excuses to even consider my suggestion once. So it occurred to me how to make sense of our brain? How to control it which is also called will power.
I feel our brain is very elastic. It stretches as much as you want, it expands as much as you desire. But most people find it difficult to do it. Fortunately for me I have found few ways which help me in taking things in control.
My struggle with my brain started when I was preparing for a competitive examination. I had lot of syllabus to cover within short span of time. My expectations of how much to study and my actual study time were universe apart. So this gap generated stress, which accumulated with time and transformed into depression like symptoms. I felt happy in one moment and the next moment I was sad. I searched what was happening to me. Later I came across a word called mental breakdown.
Mental breakdown is actually people getting into very serious emotional state for sometime. Actually it is disassociation with society and surroundings. People feel it is bad as they are not used to of it. But when a person goes through mental breakdown it actually clears the fog which exists in our brain due to various perceptions we develop about life. These perceptions get made by society and our own understanding. So mental breakdown helped me in seeing things clearer, I had a better idea of my priorities, for the first time not being happy wasn't anomaly to me. A lot of good things happened.
Now I have much more clarity about myself. I can regulate my brain well. So in sense I have strong will power.
So my suggestions to all the people who find all kind of excuses for not doing things they should is have clarity. Why you want to do something is more important than knowing how to do it. Once you have clarity of vision everything will fall in place. I got clarity while going through mental breakdown but you can also achieve the same via yoga or meditation. By yoga i mean a state of being not an act of asanas.
One more important thing I want to emphasize is you can have control over things. Let me tell you a story. When I was preparing for competitive exam I was angry Most of the time, because it is frustrating to do something which you don't like ( who like studying ). But I had to do it. Earlier I didn't think to curtail my anger, but I realized that it is something which I shouldn't do. So two years later when I am preparing again this time I kept talking to myself that I shouldn't be angry, even if I study long hours. I did this thing for 2 months and I stopped getting angry on studying for long hours. So my first statement in the beginning that our brain is pretty elastic is quite important and true.

Excess yet scarce
World is facing various crises together. Corona has been constantly stressing our health for 2 years while economic fallout has left millions in poverty. Current Russia Ukraine crisis isn't helping either. But one crisis that humanity has been facing for long but nobody talks about is pandemic of food security.
Hunger is one big pandemic which has been eating mankind from time memorials. While we talk about how we have advanced in 21st century, much better than our barbaric ancestors but have we really changed. Millions of people across world suffer from hunger and poverty. Situation is severe in Africa and South East Asia. Every time a crisis struck, there are people just hanging on cliff falls into trap of poverty. Capitalism has not been the panacea everyone hoped for. But why still so many people hungry when millions of tonnes of food get rotten in storage facilities?
First we must understand how world works. Democracy and capitalism are two wheels on which world moves. There are exceptions to these but they are much worse so we are talking about work horse model of the world. Democracy is best form of governance we have, it brings out the best for a country. Unfortunately for Democracy helping oneself means not helping others. In competitive politics to expect a country to help another country would be anti national as opposition will blame the government for flushing away the hard earned money of the taxpayers.
Capitalism also doesn't help either. Free trade decides winners and losers which create great divide. If economy left to its own it will be owned by very few people and inequality will be stark. Capitalism with government intervention can help the economy but that would be true for a nation's economy not for the world as a whole.
Social issues are also responsible for hunger and poverty. While malnutrition in male is less, it is quite high in women. In developing countries number of anemic teens and mothers is huge. While lack of information of what to eat is important. People across globe have developed poor eating habits. So malnutrition can also be there in developed world. There are various micronutrients, vitamins and minerals which body require. While eating more of a particular food doesn't help a diverse and balanced diet is required.
I have tried to bring few aspects on the table. Multiple problems are confronting our fight against hunger and poverty. I wish people all across become aware of this problem of plenty.

Outpouring of love
Yesterday was beautiful for many reasons, but I will detail them one by one. I observed fast Yesterday to strengthen my will power, bring order to my digestive system and also to pay tribute to one of the gods whom I admire. On this day the lord got married to his wife as per mythology. I hoped to see my cutie once, fortunately for me she passed in front of my house. She wore a cap so she doesn't get tanned and also wore a mask. Her attire was yellow( recently fell in love with that color as she wears it often ). Her mom was on the back seat of her scooty. Her mom also saw me with curious eyes, I was left wondering what she know about me.
The best thing about cutie is how she behave around me. I am not sure but her style changes when I am around ( it is my sense could be an exaggeration also). She move so flawlessly, just like birds. Her motion leaves me motionless, I stop thinking for sometime as I am aware that I can't miss this moment, even flinching of eyelids are banned. I expected her on that day, universe set the meeting for me. She is what I remember the most about that day but other beautiful thing that I enjoyed that day was a movie called Arjun Reddy.
Arjun reddy is a very beautiful movie. It is a 3 hour long immersive experience of how love breeds, faces obstacles but in the end uplift the life of all experiencing. Movie has one of the best background score I have listened recently. Very strong story and characters add value to the experience. People have described movie in all different angles but one aspect that I find interesting is women's portrayal. Actress played very beautifully a girl who fall in love with a man and with all her heart stays besides him. This movie fill the void that I feel has been growing that is of great lovers. People are finding it difficult to stay with one partner these days. But in this movie with all the heartbreak how couple still care about each other is the silverline. Also the role of best friends is beautifully portrayed. In macro level I don't think people will find it boring to watch this 3 hour long movie. It is one of the best movie I have seen recently.
I also played badminton yesterday for 3 hours. It was really exhausting. I played for so long because I was waiting for cutie to come and see me playing but unfortunately she didn't come. Probably she saw me but her father was also there, but I know whenever she gets a chance either she plays herself or come see me playing. Part of reason she avoid seeing me is because of my mom. My mother has been keeping a tab on her for sometime and she also knows that. But I love her courage to even come see me when she knows that she is under surveillance. I don't want to write about her but she is the only worthy thing happening to me that I can talk about. Hope that doesn't bore you all.

Education
While everyone starts from the same, people's live is evaluated how it ends. What is that enabler which makes few people more special than others? While people may argue natural talent is what set apart people. But I want to argue millions of people are born with talent but only few make it to the top. So in this article I would like to elaborate on that great enabler which transform human and their capabilities.
Education is panacea of all problems of human kind. If I am given a superpower I would like the world to be more educated. Education begins within our formation stages. In mother's womb child learns a lot. So conducive environment should be provided to pregnant women, also her nutritional needs should be adequately addressed. After taking birth child see and learn from all her family members. She take her mother's language and soon starts expressing herself.
The first leap is taken by child when she enters formal schooling. Here she learns to sit and make friends. She also learns some basic lessons vital for foundation. Then she after completing 3 years of pre school, enters class 1. This is crucial phase as now child will not be pampered, although adequate care is still taken by teachers. Now child takes gradual steps and learn one subject after another. I give full credit to my teachers as they moulded me very beautifully in this stage. They changed my seat and made arrangements so that i sit with topper. They also guided me personally numerous times and also communicated my lacking to my parents, who then asked me to improve on my fault lines. This section is also most enjoyable as syllabus is less, so more time can be distributed for sports and friendships, the two most vital part of school.
Then we all reach higher secondary which is quite hectic. Syllabus is vast and pressure to do well in exams also mounts. While this was not the case for me I enjoyed fairly good stint in higher secondary as I was in a hostel. There was no one to stop me and I did what I liked( I still do). But then career choices start weighing in and people get more serious towards studies. I didn't work hard and as a consequence I suffered two interview failures one after another. These failures did shake my confidence. I started doubting myself. But then I got serious towards studies and started studying hard. Slowly and steadily with time I gained confidence and courage to be bold again. Now I think I am out of those difficult times but I have realized the importance of education in those down days. People can get confidence via different means but confidence that comes with education is different altogether. We get our act together if we study. We talk more humbly if we study. We become more knowledgeable if we study. We have more career prospects if we study. And many more benefits
