Three's a Crowd!

*Back when my ex-boyfriend (now my hubby)  and I were still dating in Doha, since I don’t know my way to that hotel where we supposed to meet for the first time (actually it was recommended by a friend) so I asked her to accompany me instead. She has been living in the Middle East for two years so she knew her way around the area.* True enough, (my hubby) at that time arrived too early and like I mentioned from my previous post, I was not really so into him, as I thought Richard more of a brother than a date.  Anyhow, my friend who happened to recognize him at once, was so excited to meet him and I was thinking of matchmaking the two. (*Well this is not the Angela-Tristan-Laurice Operation Match Making story*). So I let them talked instead and it seemed that my friend got *smitten* by my date lol! Well at once I felt like it's better to have a graceful exit thus falsely excused myself saying I needed to go to the restroom, yet my date realized that my friend did most of the talking, eventually said, ***"hey, how have you been doing?*** ***I am really glad to see you!"***

Winked at me and pretended to show something from his phone which gave me a signal if we could talk at all. On the other hand I was a bit amused at how their conversation went through while I was a bit busy checking something on my mobile as well.  At that time I just don't know how to say things in a way that it won't offend my friend or hurt her feeling although I never thought that she would actually sort of "stole' the moment. My date being a gentleman, managed to say, ***" it's really nice talking to you but I came to talk to her!"*** Well then, my friend got the message and excused herself properly.  Off she went to check around the place  both of us just sigh, laughing at the same time, saying, ***"Three's a crowd!"*** indeed.
