I feel the need to share this again knowing that I just have a heart breaking conversation with my cousin online and her mom ( my mother's sister) has been hospitalized. I'm still not able to cope up fully when papa passed away and hearing any kind of hospital scenarios makes me emotionally low. As much as I'm telling her where to gain access in case of worst scenarios, I would still go back to the basic of Financial Literacy which includes Health Care/ Insurance. Again others may not need it but for those who wanted to have SECURITY if not PROTECTION of their savings when emergency arises, consider of having one for your family especially that this pandemic keeps on putting our lives and health at stake. HOSPITAL BILLS could kill especially in my country. Fortunately here in Seychelles HEALTHCARE is FREE so it's a good option to concentrate mainly on equities and other mode of investments however building a solid financial foundation is just like building a house. Unfortunately, HEALTHCARE which must be our topmost priority is taken for granted and statistic shows that 90% of personal bankruptcies are due to unexpected and unforeseen illnesses. ( Source: The Secret to Saving and Building your Future book) Image source: medical bills during my papa's hospitalization and 7,000- 10,000 daily was a not a joke!
