Daily wildlife photography: the american crocodile, Crocodylus acutus. These crocs can reach 4 meters and weight almost half a ton! They are beautiful... but better observed at a distance. This species can also be found in salt water, so if you decided to hit the beach in places they exist (as in some locations in Costa Rica, where these photos were taken)... don't lose sight of your surroundings! ;)

Good morning friend! :) I've seen them in Africa when Gnu's were trying to pass the river to the other side and they were so difficult to be seen!! Before that in a zoo park, I thought it was a dead one - standing still and his eyes not moved at all! Weird creatures, makes you chill!
