Peek-a-boooo! Another day at the office: how cool it is to be able to work with these creatures? African spurred tortoises, Centrochelis sulcata, are the third largest land turtles in the world. This one is only 12 kg, but an adult male can reach over 40kg!

Oh how I love turtles! When I was very young I had one on my yard - we found it when we were travelling on the road and took her with us <3 I remember how she was "in love" with me and I was the one who only accepted to pet her in the head - she made a weird awful sound with her mouth when anyone else tried to go close to her... memories.. perhaps she is still alive, when we moved from this house, we didn't have a yard again and the neighbours said they'd adopt her :)
