Daily wildlife photography: the azorean blackbird, Turdus merula azorensis. Although apparently similar to the common blackbird, it's a subspecies endemic to the azorean islands. It was hard getting a clear photo from this little guy, since he was hopping among the grass until he finally decided to pose. The yellow eye ring and beak is the way to know we're looking at a male!

I thought I found something like that here but when I look at the beak, it's unique! Looks like it's native to the land. Hehe would love to pick that bird!
I met that bird many times, he's graceful bird loves low ground, eats insects and worms he have a beautiful sound
