Time for some useful info. Yes, it's wildlife, but not the kind you want to meet: the pine processionary, Thaumetopoea pityocampa, is an insect that we can unfortunately come across even in urban areas, as it was the case with me and a friend today. Their name comes from the way they move, in a row, like in a procession. Their hairs can cause severe allergic reaction: don't even think about touching them or letting your pets go near them, I've had too treat too many animals because of it!

I will admit they look a bit nefarious. lol
It also happens to me that these small animals have done damage, especially to trees and are also dangerous for pets
