Daily wildlife photography: the black winged stilt, Himantopus himantopus. Everytime I see these guys I remember those machines from Star Wars with huge legs. :) In Portugal they are called "pernilongo", wich translates to "long legs"... and it's easy to understand why! That charactristic and the colour pattern make them easy to identify. Photos taken in Tavira, Portugal.
