Daily wildlife photography: the european bee-eater, Merops apiaster. These are probably one of the most colourful birds that we have in portuguese avifauna! They come in Spring for the breeding season; and this was the fist time I've managed to photograph one perched... and with a snack on it's beak! Photo taken in Zambujeira do Mar, Portugal.
