Daily wildlife photography: the turkey vulture, Cathartes aura. They are one of the seven vulture species that we can find on the american continent. This one I found on a desert road, somewhere in Costa Rica, on his cleaning mission. Although most people dislike them, they are incredibly useful to the environment; being scavengers, they feed on carcasses that otherwise would rot and possibly spread bacteria. And this one didn't seemed pleased at all for me having his meal interrupted! :)
