My wildlife photography: the european kingfisher, Alcedo atthis. It was the second time in my life where I saw one of these perched, and in a location I wasn't expecting: facing the sea! They normally hunt in freshwater, but apparently this one needed some salt in the diet. ;)

Another month begins... and another HPUD! For the ones not on Hive blockchain, it'a a day where it's usual to power up some of our liquid Hive, turning it into Hive Power, and increase our stake on the blockchain. I'm really close to my goal this year, and after today... a little bit closer! 8000 HP, here I go! Are you on Hive? And if you are... have you powered up today? ;)
After a fre rainy days, finally the perfect conditions to get some salt water on the surfboards: clear sky... and perfect waves! This is one of the sought-after beaches near Lisboa, and today it was crowded!
My wildlife photography: the red legged partridge, Alectoris rufa. Seen these two roaming around the fields in Doñana National park, in southern Spain. According to our guide, when there are babies and the family goes together, it's usual for the male to go a few meters further than the rest of the pack, to attrack possible predators and keep the rest of the family safe. Brave guys!
My wildlife photography: the jackdaw, Corvus monedula. These small members of the crow family are rather smart and inquisitive. Here, they were inspecting the construction outside Dubrovnik's old town. They were probably pleased with what they were seeing, given the amount of time they spent exploring all the crevices!
OK, finally pulled the gun and bought 100 Riftwatchers packs... and I'm sooo glad I did! Buying specific cards from the market is probably a better approach, but lady luck can make pack buying worth it big time, besides qualify you for a chance of receiving the remaining airdrops. And I'm thrilled: not even half the packs opened, and 5 legendaries, including 2 Coeurl Lurker and 1 Runemancer Kyle! I'm still unsure wether to open the remaining packs right away, or hold don to…
Travelling is one of the things where spending money makes you richer. Still remembering my last vacations in beautiful Croatia. Dubrovnik was the last city I visited, and if you like cities with history... put it on your travel list!
What a great day: a lunch with college friends, some which I haven't met for over a year, and finishing the day visiting another friend from childhood. Friends are the family we choose; and to top it up... this amazing sunset view!
Remembering some of the beaches in Croatia, where I spent my last vacations. It was my first time bathing in the Adriatic sea, but most likely it won't be my last. Crystal clear water and stunning views, we really can't ask for more!
The miracle of life. Mother Nature usually takes care of things, but sometimes we have to lend a hand, so that it all goes for the best. These little guys were starting to show signs of distress in their mother's belly... so we had to help them come to the world! 🙂
Cryptosphere definitely has been on a turmoil in these last couple of days! Following Binance and FTX soap opera, markets have been plummeting, and when I check tabtrader... I can only see red! Seeing this one the bright side: great buying opportunities are here! Now is the best time to start dollar cost averaging on your favourite coins and projects!
Missing the beach days, and getting some salt in my surfboad. Probably won't do it this weekend, but hope to surf again sometime soon. Too bad it won't be in this beautiful beach, a hidden pearl in SW Portugal! 🙂
My wildlife photography: the great crested grebe, Podiceps cristatus. They look more colourful in the breeding season, but in this case, I opted to see them in a different colour scale: monochrome style! To honest, there isn't that much difference between these and the original photos: it was a foggy day, and low light.
Tried my luck again at Riftwatchers pack openings, and got lucky! Another legendary, and a pretty cool one! Still a lot of work ahead to improve my deck to play decently in Diamond I, but slowly getting there. Competition is insane nowadays!
My wildlife photography: the great cormorant, Phalacrocorax carbo. They have a black plummage, but here all the scene is in monochromes; maybe a bit more nostalgic photo, but the poses are great nevertheless, don't you agree?
For the first time since its inception, bad news on the Splinterlands realm: the team had to lay off 45% of the staff. It's a surprise, although in these last months some warning signs were already there. I still think game will skyrocket and the team already proved their worth, but some things really need to change, especially the new player experience. Any thoughts?
Hive being hive... markets crashing? Everything red? No worries, let's pump 25%!! 🤣🤣 I would really love to know if there's any mambo jambo behind this, this beloved coin definitely loves to go against the crowd!
My wildlife photography: the Eurasian Spoonbill, Platalea leucorodia. This is one of the coolest birds we have in Portugal: apart from its big size and beautiful white plummage, they are very easy to recognise because of their beaks. As the name implies, their beak looks exactly like a spoon! Found this one roaming alone, in a natural park in Spain.
Wee, three digit followers unlocked! Thanks everyone! On another note, how do you feel about noise.app evolution? Still unsure about where this is heading; frankly, as a new app, even thow an evolution from noise.cash, I was expecting A LOT more communication with the users. Instead, a new interface, yes; an edit button not that long ago... and that's it. Are there any plans to at least share a roadmap?
My wildlife photography: the european bee eater, Merops apiaster. This is one of the most colourful birds in the portuguese avifauna; there's no chance to mistake it with any other species. Found this one on top of a tree, after having catched his lunch; I consider myself lucky, because you can spot them easily, but I rarely see them perching!
If you're using crypto.com, they are offering nfts from the world cup if you fulfill certain goals. I was completely unaware of this until today! Has anyone been taking advantage of the initiative?
My wildlife photography: the coot, Fulica atra. These little guys can be found anywhere where's fresh water. All black with a white beak, easy to spot. These photos were take in Doñana National Park, in southern Spain.
