I know I'm old and in the way, but I just don't understand the appeal of NFTs. In many, (most?), cases all that is stored on the blockchain is a url pointer to a server somewhere, which holds the actual image. And can't digital images be duplicated endlessly? So when you buy a NFT, you're buying a pointer to an address on a server somewhere that contains an image that can be replicated. Am I wrong?
