I know it may be a hassle, but if you enjoy a video, try to press that like button and leave a few words as a comment. It certainly helps the creator. The monetization process is an uphill battle since YouTube demands 3000 hours of watch time, which is a bit absurd for a new creator, but again, it is the algorithm that will promote content more depending on the engagement of those who watched a video. The more likes and comments, the better. I've seen some services manipulating the algorithm with bot accounts, but I'm not interested in anything that is not genuine on my videos. If someone enjoyed a vid, then they are welcome to like and comment. Actually, I'd appreciate it, even if the comment contains criticism, but always with a non-aggressive approach. My last video on YouTube had a decent start, but it also had a low number of likes and comments, therefore the algorithm did not promote it. Perhaps the video quality is not that great either, yet from the first data I'm getting, it appears that people do watch the video in its entirety. I'm still waiting for audience retention data from YouTube which usually takes 2 days. So, yeah, all of this was a request to like my content (only if you watched and actually liked it) and leave a small comment as well.
