Pandaland! GameFi on smartBCH
Pandaland is an NFT game under development with a collection of 3000 Panda NFTs sold out during the mint phase for 0.1BCH each during January (2022).
The team will allocate the 300BCH raised by the mint phase of Panda NFTs for the project's development.
As with most blockchain games Pandaland prioritizes the monetization aspect while also managing decent quality with cartoonish graphics for the NFTs and the game itself.
Pandaland includes the breeding feature, an approach that has been successfully implemented in other popular blockchain games and creates additional depth in gameplay.
This NFT blockchain game has already created a fanbase and perhaps could expand beyond the realms of smartBCH and attract attention from the wider cryptocurrency community.
The Panda NFTs are currently selling at a price above the mint phase, indicating the anticipation of investors and potential users of this GamiFi platform while waiting for the official launch.
The Hunt is About to Begin!
The Pandaland game in its complete version will contain both PVE (player-vs-environment) and PVP (player-vs-player) elements, and players will collect rewards from victories in PDA tokens.
The team recently announced the final testing phase for the hunt is underway, and the function will be live in the coming weeks at Pandaland, after the final details are sorted out.
PDA tokens will become available for the presale soon.
The hunt will also produce PDA tokens and reward the users according to victories.
The token will be listed in smartBCH DEXs as the team will support PDA by adding enough liquidity (100-200BCH) to sustain the price and boost interest in the game.
Players will need at least three Panda's to fight PVE monsters and collect PDA tokens.
These tokens will be used to increase the stats and level up Panda's NFTs, although the details are not available, and changes can apply to increase interest in Pandaland. The PDA token rewards can also be sold on the smartBCH DEXs for BCH.
During the NFT mint phase, a bug in the contract allowed minting beyond the 3000 rule, with 34 more Pandas created, however, the team plans to burn the excess numbers (#3001-#3034) and refund the owners in BCH.
With the game set to launch soon, we will evaluate the gaming model and statistics required to pass certain stages with further game reviews and guides.
Panda attributes
Each Panda has certain traits and rarities.
Elements:
wood
fire
earth
gold
water
Genders, of course, are male and female, and perhaps players of the game should own both genders to reproduce and breed new Pandas. The team has also explained breed demands in both genres. Breed will create new NFTs with new traits produced under the game's algorithm.
Tai Chi
Some advanced game stages will require powerful boosts and a combination of elements during the breeding stage. Tai Chi will be a combo to boost teams and allow them to manage against certain hardcore stages.
After participating in reproduction, the five elements attributes can be combined with 5 different attributes and merged into Tai Chi. Tai Chi is just a synthetic god-like panda, which is suitable for attacking advanced single bosses. It still needs to be separated after the attack, which does not affect the type and force before the 5-line combination.
Talent & Force Values
These two stats will be useful to proceed with winning fights (both PVE and PVP).
These attributes are upgradeable using PDA tokens, so inadequate teams will probably need to upgrade their stats to pass hard-to-beat stages.
When the game is released, players will explore further the stats required.
In Conclusion
While NFT collections already thrive on smartBCH, we also wait for the release of the first blockchain games.
Pandaland and Pixs RPG are the first two games under development.
Perhaps their success right from the beginning could attract more attention to smartBCH and developers could find it a reasonable smart contract blockchain to test their skills and luck.
The competitive edge of smartBCH is high throughput and low fees.
Since the autumn of 2021, we watch popular VC-backed smart contract networks like Solana and Polygon crashing, not working, shutting down, and entering centralized maintenance by the team of devs.
These networks received billions in funding by investors, and still contain issues developers will probably not be able to fix, supposedly created as solutions to Ethereum's congestion and high fees, they seem unable to deliver these promises.
SmartBCH all this time is working uninterrupted with 1.05gas fees locked, no delays, and funding just by the community.
