Bridging the gap between the Males and Females in STEM.
Education is the key to everything in the world. The world is evolving and many things are changing. In our local communities’ things were done based on masculinity and the females were left out. Many spoke and changes are coming. A girl child being a mother of all nations can help develop many things in the world. Below are some policies and measures that will be employed to help bridge the gap between the male and females in the STEM sector in education.
Many females are left out because there is no money at home. A policy will be put in place to help every girl child going into the STEM sector. The brain of a female is strong and it can handle anything. If she is trained to see things as simple, then she takes it from there. Being in school, I sat with females, there were times a lady will always be the top in the class. She was smart and knew what she was there for. That is how our females are. Brilliant but lack the chance to show the world what they are made of. With this policy, we will work as hard to make sure that we give every child the chance to show how powerful her brain is. We will go as far as rural areas to get them educated.
In addition, most girls don’t know what STEM deals with. Can you imagine a girl child from a village who doesn’t know the principle the lights she uses work with? When she is educated on how the electrons move from one point to another to produce light, she will be amazed and wanting to learn more. By so, seminars and other educational programs will be organized for the girl child educating her on the importance and how well STEM will help her country Ghana develop. It will be great seeing ladies who are engineers. This can be possible when we can convince them through these seminars. It is a measure that can also bridge the gap between the girl child and STEM.
Moreover, misconceptions should be eradicated. Where I come from, there are still people who think a lady’s place is the kitchen. They are not evolving as to know the essence of education and why someone should be educated. This is the problem that keeps widening the gap between the male and the female child. Education not only be formal but night schools will also be employed to make room for the education of the old generation. They should be educated on the benefits and reasons why everyone should be educated especially a female child. They should be brought to light letting them know educating a lady is like educating a whole nation. When this is done, I think it will help push the ladies more into education. Which will one day give us more females going in for STEM education.
Last but not least, discouraging earlier marriages which will give more females the chance to school. We are in a state where many think when a lady is done with SHS she should be married. Many don’t know the essence of letting a female into a tertiary institution. Education should be given to those people. They should know, even though a female is to give birth. She should be able to improve her nation in terms of academics. She can then move further to increase the popularity. Imagine Ghana lacking specialists who are females in the hospital. It's not always that a woman is pleased with a man being the midwife. We should have females in these sectors to educate other ladies to manage themselves. They say experience is the best teacher. When they are there, they can help the females well than the males can do.
In conclusion, the above are some policies and activities that when embarked on, will bridge the gap between male and female children in STEM education.
Thanks for passing by.
Before you close your eyes to sleep, Renee your dream and let you wit you up early to work for it.
Have a great night.🌃
My Love Story
It goes this way, “I was awake and felt as if the world has been changed into something I have never imagined. Do u know why I found a human who I thought could give me the meaning of the word LOVE?
Was I mistaken or she wasn’t the right person? That was yet to be unveiled. I made my move as everyone will do. Days were given for a decision to be made. As everyone will try to ponder on things like: will she accept me? will I be rejected? Then I will be disgraced. Those were my thought too. Until the day for response came.
I was in my best clothing expecting the most pleasing words that will make me vibrate to shake the world. She started; these days were the toughest since I started breathing: she said smiling. Those smiles gave me hopes then she continued. I can’t accept the offer, does what I came up with; she said in a friendly way. As they say: for one to be a successful person, you shouldn’t fear defeat. For that sake, I accept that in good faith.
Thoughts rolled over in my head and I was really confused as to what to really do. I thought I was sick because my appetite was gone, sleepless nights, and never wanted to talk about it. Days passed by I couldn’t cope. Does was when I realized that. Maybe Allah just want us to meet the wrong people first before meeting the rights ones because when we finally do, does when everything will seem right
The bravest thing a person can do is to stand in front of him or her to declare your love to them. Does what differentiates the guys from the ladies. But you know what, standing in front of them isn’t just the scare’s but having direct contact with the person's eyes. Which feels like, seeing a dragon for the first time which you weren’t even aware of it. Just imagine that!
That was my first time doing that actually and that really built my confidence to always try even if I’m rejected. You better try and fail than sit without trying. In the field of love, many unpredictable things can happen and one only needs the courage to move on.
To date, we are still friends not lovers though.”
That was my story to you. Hope you have learned a lot from that. Be yourself no matter how many times you have been rejected.
Love actually is a special feeling everyone gets to feel and it's only a few who can really control themselves when they are in love. Be careful when you are in love because they say: When one is born his brain works properly until they fall in love.
Live life to the fullest, love everyone, keep searching for that special person who will make a dark day seem bright to you. From a poet: “Don’t go for looks, it can deceive. Don’t go for wealth, even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright...”
I’m Abdul Wahab, I am not what you think I am, I am not what I think I am but I am what YOU THINK, I THINK I am. One guy can’t be used to describe all guys (vice versa). Keep searching till you find that special person to really give you the meaning of LOVE.
I wish you well in your love life.
My introduction!
I am Osman Abdul Wahab from Ghana, Tamale. A native of the Ghanaian language called Dagbani.
II started education late but thanks being to Allah I was able to cope with my studies. Of which I started my basic education in Future scholars in Savulegu. . Tiyumba M/A school was where I attended Junior High School and then proceeded to T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School to complete my senior education. I am currently at the University of Ghana studying Mathematical science.
I have been a leader ever since I was in primary school. I started as a class prefect and later became the senior prefect of my primary school. In Tiyumba, I stood for Senior prefect, which I could not be because I lost to someone. I could not go in for the senior boy’s prefect in T.I with the zeal of always being a leader. Ahmadiyya Senior High School but I didn’t stop there. I went for a denominational leader as an Advisor for both the Ghana Muslims Students Association and Northern Students Association which I served to the end of my mantle.
I have many dreams which really wanted everyone to also have some. I dedicated most of my Junior school and Senior High school education to helping my colleagues in studies so that we all will one day succeed. I believe in the saying that “Alone you can go fast but together you go far”. With that, I always made sure we are always equipped with our studies.
As I don’t always study all the time, I have time for football, which I use to exercise my body and have fun watching. Hanging out with friends is what I enjoy most because I learn a lot from them. As they say “if u don’t get a friend for life then u get a lesson for life”. Of which both will be good to move on as an individual.
Experiences they say are the best teacher, I have experienced much in the life of which I don’t want anyone to go through some of them. Me losing my parents and staying with other people’s parents has thought me to love and have sympathy.
I am who I am because of so many factors and I thank Almighty Allah for that.
This is my introduction and I am glad to be here. Let's get interactive in the comment session.

Life Can Change!
Since life doesn’t promise anything, many things has happened in my life and I just want to share this with you. I’m Thomas a 29 year old man living in US.
I was happily married to my beautiful wife Mary who was the best in the world when it comes to love. We loved each other making every day an amazing day. Our love grew every day and we hoped and prayed for a lovely family. Not forgetting our lovely 10 year old boy.
Samuel, my childhood buddy was always there for me and my family. There were times when Samuel will take my wife out just to support her with work stuffs. He was our savior in so many things. Picking of our boy from school when we are busy was one of the things he does too. He was really a great friend.
One day, I was driving in my car when an unfortunate incident happened. I had an accident which was severe. Everyone was worried. They kept praying. The doctors got hold of the situation assuring my family and my friend that everything would be okay. It was later the doctor realized I couldn’t feel my legs. They tried all their best and I still couldn’t feel them. I became paralyzed on that day.
I didn’t feel the pain that much because I still had my family who always made sure I feel comfortable. My business was not a problem. My CEO was handling it well and the accountability was going on find. I praised God for still making my life better.
One day, something unusual happened. My son was running around and Samuel and my wife where taking care of business up stairs. My boy mistakenly moved up to find out Samuel and my wife where having sex. They didn’t notice him. He then run downstairs to help me up stairs for me to see for myself. I was so angry that I shouted and they realized they were being watched. They were shocked and they had nothing actually to say. That when I realized all the business they said they were doing was just lies. My wife then said “You have been paralyzed for months and I can’t also stay away from sex. Samuel have been supporting me even way before your accident happened. I spent more time with him and I even fell in love with him. Not that I’m glad you seeing us this way but I would like us to divorce. I want to chase my dreams with Samuel.” My eyes were filled with tears and I didn’t know what to say. I just said “then so be it”
It took us three months for us to finalize our divorce. She left our boy with me and went off with Samuel. Samuel and Mary got married. I attended it even though I wasn’t invited. My boy was always there to give me the support I needed.
One day, I was outside just observing what I have missed with my ex-wife that was when I noticed a flower coming my way. I wanted to approach her because that was the first time I felt my heart again after my divorce. I got ashamed after considering myself. She walked closer and smiled after looking at me. That gave me courage and I made my move. I just told her how I felt about her while on my crouches. She said she would get back to me the next day. I was prepared for the next day and it was then I realized she was single and then she said, “Your condition is normal and I think all that matters is what you feel for me. I think I like you too.” It was then my boy was coming from school and meet us. He could see how happy I was after talking to her.
We dated for three months and then she suggested going back to the hospital for checkups on my condition. I considered it and we started the checkup. The doctor gave me hope that, by 1 month time I should be able to walk. That gave me hope and a new dream. I then proposed to her and she accepted my proposal. My boy was happy for me because I was starting to be happy again. We planned everything but I pretended I was still on crouches. Rumor was around saying a cripple is getting married. We didn’t let it harm us because we knew what we were doing.
The day came. We drove there and everyone was expecting us. We intentional went there late so that all eyes would be on us. My boy came out and I landed on my two feet and walked with my son into the church and everyone was surprised. It was very lovely as the enemies were shamed. It was a wonderful wedding even much greater than my first marriage.
After the marriage, I got back to work and my wife was the best in taking care of everything. My boy loved her very much. We loved each other very much. Our family was back to normal and everyone was happy.
My wife was a blessing, she came into my life to give me a new dream. Now the cripple is on his feet pursuing his dreams with the woman of his life. That was me.
That’s a story! I hope it inspire you in your situation!
Thank you!
Let's dance out of love!
Give me your hand. The salsa dance has great moves which will connect us well. By the way, I am Abdul. Dance isn't something I know but I will learn with you. I just want to have to chance to be close to you. I wonder how special you were created. Give me the chance to find the unknown variable in your equation.
Dear, the heart is an organ that keeps us living. it's difficult for me to channel my thoughts anytime you are around. you keep making me wonder if could survive if I hadn't met you.
"Abdul is this how your mouth is sweet like honey always or is it's because what you have for me is special. " My feelings for you are measurable. I can be an instrument to measure love because of the way I feel.is an overdose in my heart. I can't seem to think straight but don't bother me. they say a human thinks well until he falls in love. If I am a fool because of my love for you, I am humbly pleased.
Let me choose a song for our dance. have you heard of Patorankings' I'm in love? That's what I will choose. it has the perfect words for how I feel about you. Matching the song to our dance moves will be a perfect fit like how a parabola sits on the origin. it seems I'm exaggerating. I wish you could feel the beep in my heart as you are the only reason why I still live. Let's have the dance of our life, which will be a memorable memory when we sit down to give our love story to our kids and grandchildren one day.
Amazing love is. Find what makes you happy and cling to it don't be afraid to dive into the pool of love. you never know if you will swim or sink. Risk is worth taking. Give your heart the chance to get another new function. it can't be stick to only pumping blood. Let it have the chance of finding someone to always make feel special too.
I can't forget our salsa dance. I hope we dance it one day. when that day comes, I know it will be memorable.
Stay tuned love!
My Family!
Hajara and Idris met and founded a family of eight. They were happy together and things were going their way until the man of the house was called home. May He rest well.
Their children were: Mariam who was their firstborn, followed by Issah a brilliant boy who was a major role in the success of the family. The third born was Saeed popularly known as Seidu. Ibrahim followed in the chain. Suleman was the name of the Fifth born. Another Mariam was also given birth to. The penultimate child was Salamat and finally, it was me Abdul Wahab (Father’s favorite).
First Mariam, who we all looked up to got married when I was young. Issah on the other hand was a brilliant kid who was to go to the university. On his way in the search of the money to support himself, we lost him in an accident. May he rest well! Mariam our head left us too. May she also rest well. The family is now a family of six with Saeed as the head.
Our parents were known for their modest behavior but frankly speaking, I barely lived with my dad before he died. But according to my brothers and sisters, he was a warrior with a good heart and hated nonsense. My mom on the other hand was calm and never wanted anything to harm her kids, as every mother will do. My mother died quite recently. I was about 20 years when she left us. May THEY rest well.
Family is the only thing that you can boast that you own. I’m the last born and I don’t bear my father’s name. I can’t say I’m not proud of the name I use currently but I should have been using his name. Things happen for a reason does why he said I should live with Mr. Osman after his death.
My father is Idris. I’m proud of him but I also have another father called Osman who raised me to be who I am today. I am proud of all of them and I think they all will be proud of who they raised me to be. I can say I’m the luckiest person on earth to have two wonderful fathers.
I am Osman Abdul Wahab, a son to Idris and Osman.
