Honestly, I was sceptical about this game. The Japanese are a well drilled side; their work rate is scary. I think what we are seeing at this tournament right now is that we've all underappreciated the vast improvement football has undergone in Asia because they're not always in the news. Saudi Arabia played a high line against Argentina, dominating their prestigious opponents physically. It takes a well drilled side to play a defensive high line against Messi and not get torn apart.
But still... not the expected outcome
Definitely not the expected outcome. The Germans are my pre-tournament favourites because of their experience and togetherness. I thought the game against Japan will be very interesting because of some of the Japanese talents I've seen in Bundesliga games. I missed out on the game because I was busy. Due to the upset, Spain vs Germany is now a must watch. How's the Fantasy World Cup going? I've been basically offline since I posted FPL Review.
