The strength of a mother part 2 Yesterday, I wrote about the strength of a mother which I wrote mainly to celebrate my mum in relation to yesterday's mother's day. I discussed about how strong she has been since she lost my dad and that will be leading me into today's part which is how she managed to provide every of our needs. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• *My mum was a nurse before and after my dad's death, she has always been financially independent since she was a youth but notwithstanding she has always wanted to add other businesses to her being just a civil servant. The truth is that in this part of the world I am, civil servants are being treated anyhow, we have a large number of delayed salary, non - payment of salaries amongst others. More reason why mum always wanted to start a business of her own so that she will stop depending solely on the government payment which was a very good idea but she couldn't put up the capital together from her salary as our education is her topmost priority. After the death of my dad, she saw more reason why she needs to start a business because she realizes that her salary alone will not be enough to cater for our needs and also household expenses since it was both her my dad that normally cater for us and also share expenses before. So she decided to start a poultry farming business, she went for quite a number of poultry classes, did some market and office surveys, asked the people already in the business field questions about how they started and all... When she already gathered enough information, she then decided to start! But the only problem now is the capital so we decided to pray about it and ask God to provide in whatsoever way he can and God did beyond expectation. The truth is since I've been a kid, my parents has taught me the effectiveness of prayer which I've always applied in my day in day out life and it has always been working for me. I don't know if it's the same with you?.. Going back to my story, we started to see help from lots of people, some will just call and asked for our account details or my mums'. Before we knew it, the capital was already complete and my mum started the poultry farming in addition to the salary she receives from her government job, after a while she added crop farming and some other livestock farming. The business grew so well and we started living in abundance.* My advice to all ladies/women out there Make sure you have a very good source of income before getting married. Being financially stable as a lady is not a sin, it is not necessary to leave all the responsibilities to the man alone, you guys are meant to support each other in everything. Same goes for the man though. Do not depend solely on salaries. You can work for a person and be receiving salaries, no one is disputing that but make sure to also have at least one other side hustle job in which you can depend on if anything happens in the future. Watch out for the person you are planning on spending the rest of your life with. Don't marry a time waster or dream killer, don't marry a person that will want you to quit working after marriage cause you don't want to ever make the mistake of quitting work after marriage. It can be disastrous cause you don't know what the future holds for you. I will like to also add that you should always make sure that you treat all your kids right. Make sure you provide all they need for them cause when you grow old and when they grow up, you might still be with your husband and you might not be with him but your children will be your backbone. They will be all that you have and it's how you took care of them when they were young that will determine how much they will also take care of you when they grow up. **These are the few stuffs I've learnt from my mum while growing up which has really shaped my thought and my life so I hope it helps you as well.** Published date: 29th of March, 2022 Published time: 7:05am To read about my previous post **"*****The strength of a mother*****"** Click on the link below The strength of a mother https://read.cash/@Oyinwrites/the-strength-of-a-mother-64d4defe ***It nice to have you around, kindly subscribe if you haven't. The strength of a mother Today being the mother's day made me remember what happened some years back. Loosing one member of one's family has always been one of the toughest thing to handle, I bet you will never know the feeling until you loose someone so dear to you. In my case I lost my dad, I could have never imagined loosing my dad even in the next 20 years but fate has its way around life. Immediately after his death, life lost meaning to me, I saw no reason for being alive anymore, I wished the ground should just open and swallow me up, it was such an horrible experience I could never even pray for my enemies to go through. My greatest fear back then was how my mum would react to the news cos I've witnessed how my mum loved my dad so much and how they go everywhere together. My mum barely go anywhere without my dad going with her, they were always seen together. I didn't want to lose my mum too cos I've seen and heard some cases where immediately the wife/ mother hears of the death of her husband/child, she suddenly collapses and dies too (though it is mostly seen in Nollywood movies 😂). So because of this I didn't want her to hear about the news of her husband's death but it was impossible for her not to hear cos she had the doctor's number and the doctor also have her number so she was heard about the news almost immediately after his death. I was so surprised when I saw my mum acting strong, though before she heard the news, she fidgeted a little but on hearing the news, she just sat and started crying asking God why it should happen to her. It went like that for a week but the following the week, she braced up, summoned courage, called us "her kids" together and encouraged us to move on with our lives and never let our fathers death to pull us down or stop us from achieving our dreams, "what a strong woman". She also admonished us not to act bitter or too sad during our father's burial that was to come up in some weeks time which we couldn't obliged because it was just too sad seeing our dad been buried and also that we would not be seeing our dad again after that day 😢. Even my mum could not control her tears that day as she was pouring out tears like rain. I felt lots of pity for her cos since I've been born, I've never seen her cry that much, it was so touching but she managed to stop crying after a while and she also encouraged us and vice versa. There were times she will cry little after the burial (I guess she was feeling lonely) but she will quickly wipe her face after seeing us cos she would not like herself to be seen a state of pity. She likes to act strong alot even in her darkest time. She would always say that she does not want to give herself high blood pressure because too much thinking causes high blood pressure so she tries to do some stuffs that would make her happy and would not cause her to think too much. She also would say that she knows that she's the only one we have and would not want to do anything that will cut her life short cos she does not want us to become orphans that if not for us, she would have just prayed that God should take her life but she has us and she will do anything just to make sure we achieve our aim in life. I can boldly say she stood by her words, she could go any length just to satisfy us, she never let us down, we never lacked anything in school before and even after my dad's death, she always makes sure that she provides anything we need for us. I'm so glad to have you in my life mum, you've been so amazing and I promise to take good care of you mum. I love you mum❤️. Happy mother's day mum *********** Part two of this story to be continued tomorrow Subscribe to see more amazing write ups.
Discovering yourself before marriage Many women suffer in marriage when they rush into marriage with a man who does not know his responsibilities in marriage and who cannot tell what a woman truly needs in marriage. It is very important to state here that when God created Adam, God didn't proceed to give him a Wife immediately! No. He followed a process and principles..... God first gave him a "HOME", then a "JOB", then God gave him a "PURPOSE", before God gave him a "Suitable Helper", not just a Wife! If any man lacks this process, please don't rush to become a wife to him, else he will abuse your purpose in his life. Dear Men, If you have not discovered yourself or your purpose you don't need a woman yet, same thing applicable to we women. Not every man is a husband material and not every woman is a wife material, some are still in a process, don't rush it. In creation, after God had seen these qualities in Adam, God now said, It is not good for ADAM to be alone. Some of these guys you are dating, God is still saying "It is good for them to be alone until they develop HUSBAND potentials". But we women, will not allow them to be alone, that's why they keep abusing you and misusing you in relationship. You are going against the divine pattern, Dear Brother/Sister first discover yourself, your purpose, before looking for intimacy. Infact, it's more important to discover your purpose in life because according to research, many successful people in life already knew their purpose even before getting married. You don't need to have all the money in the world but what is more important is that you know your purpose in life and also start working towards achieving them while you're still single. The wife/husband God is giving you now is like a helpmeet, I promise you that immediately they see the purpose in you and know that you are ready to go any length just to achieve your purpose in life, they will give you their full support and together you can both achieve that purpose. Note that all I've been talking about since also applies to we women. You don't have to solely depend on marriage for financial breakthrough, you are going to marry the man in order to become his helpmeet and burden sharer not a burden to him. Don't bring all your family problem to him and that is why it is very essential you already have something doing before you get married. I come in peace ❤️🙌... May God direct and align you to his will/purpose for your life... amen.. I'm new here everyone and this is my first post. I will love to connect with you guys.
