They’ve been found to **decrease the risk of asthma in children and have been linked to lower blood pressure.** Exposure to dogs (having a parent who was a registered dog owner) during the first year of life was linked to a 13% lower risk of asthma in school age children, and farm animal exposure was linked to a 52% lower risk for school age children and a 31% lower risk among preschool age kids. The study did not determine why children with dogs or farm animal exposure appeared to be less likely to develop asthma. However, the researchers say their findings fall in line with the hygiene hypothesis, which suggests that lack of exposure to germs and microbes during childhood could lead to more allergies, and that exposure can lead to a more favorable immune system. Dogs are **good for your heart**. The “American Journal of Cardiology” published research about a study of 369 heart attack patients one year after they were released from the hospital. One year later, pet owners had a much higher rate of survival than non-pet owners. The research concluded that the bond between humans and dogs reduces stress, which is a major cause of cardiovascular problems. Dogs keep you in **good shape.** dog owners are more likely to engage in moderate physical activity than non-dog owners. In fact, dog owners walk an average of 300 minutes per week, while non-dog owners walk an average of 168 minutes a week. So, yes, those walks around the block are good for *you*, too! I always walking with my dog every morning. A dog’s **sense of smell can keep you healthy** Dogs can be trained to detect prostate cancer, according to a recent study. They can also help you avoid foods you’re allergic to. Several places in the United States train dogs to sniff out the slightest trace of peanuts in the room. With so many children suffering from severe peanut allergies, this ability can be a godsend to their families. Dogs can also be trained to alert diabetics to a low blood sugar level.

Eating hotdog's/Ham** The **World Health Organization's International Agency for Cancer Research (IARC)** reported ham, hot dogs and other processed meats may contribute to colorectal cancer. Childrem who eat more than 12 hot dogs per month have 9 times the normal risk of developing **Leukemia** **2. Soda or Soft drinks** To prove Coke does not belong in the human body, here are 20 practical ways you can use Coke as a domestic cleaner: Removes grease stains from clothing and fabric Removes rust; methods include using fabric dipped in Coke, a sponge or even aluminum foil. Also loosens rusty bolts Removes blood stains from clothing and fabric. Cleans oil stains from a garage floor; let the stain soak, hose off. Kills slugs and snails; the acids kills them. Cleans burnt pans; let the pan soak in the Coke, then rinse. Descales a kettle (same method as with burnt pans) Cleans car battery terminals by pouring a small amount of Coke over each one. Cleans your engine; Coke distributors have been using this technique for decades. Makes pennies shine; soaking old pennies in Coke will remove the tarnish. Ber Months Start's Today Hello everyone It's me again @Oslec08 Today is the start of Ber months and let's talk about that. There’s something about the first of September that makes us excited and happy. It is the official start of the “Ber” months or the Christmas season in Philippines, And what is the most special month for me? it is September because it is my Birth month. In a country where family and faith are the cornerstones of society, you will never run out of reasons why we love the Christmas season. Some malls and establishments are now adorned with Christmas décoration while our favorite yuletide tunes are playing in the background. People cannot help but be merry this early. Neighborhoods start decorating with the traditional parol as soon as they can. Eventually, Christmas lights, Santa and his reindeers, and even the Snowman will make an appearance. **What is BER MONTHS?** You might be wondering what “ber” month means. To put it simply, these are the 4 months of the year that have “ber” at the end of suffix. This means that SeptemBER, OctoBER, NovemBER, and DecemBER all fall into the so-called “ber” season. **Why are we so thrilled at the start of the “Ber” months? here's some reasons why we love the “Ber” months:** **BER means "Bed Weather"** In a country where it is hot and humid almost all year long, the start of the “Ber” months signal the start of cooler weather, at least in the evening. During this time of the year, the breeze is refreshing .  **FINDING COMFORT IN FOOD** There’s nothing like eating a bowl of lomi, creamy sopas, or lugaw on a rainy afternoon. Most of us find comfort and delight in all-time Filipino favorites like sinigang, tinola, bulalo, and champorado. Food, especially comfort food, has got to be among the top reasons why we love the “Ber” months. The way these hot delights touch our lips and warm our tummies is just priceless. **Looking good in a sweater and Jacket** So now is the time to bring out those gorgeous sweaters and chic jackets without looking silly. The “Ber” months give us the right to be extra chic and fashionable. Finally, layering is in season. Carrying a scarf around wouldn’t look ridiculous anymore. **Excited for old traditions** The tradition of midnight masses or "Simbang Gabi" but due to pandemic i guess it will be held via Television(TV). exchanging gifts with relatives, family members and neighbors. eating bibingka, preparing for Noche Buena, and attending Christmas parties still sound so new and exciting but because of pandemic we just held the parties inside our house with family members as we are not allowed to have party outside. It’s funny how we look forward to things that already form part of our traditions and culture. **Let’s sing “Merry Christmas”** You always feel a special kind of happiness and warmth upon hearing your first Christmas song of the year. Jingles and carols dominate the airwaves and you always feel like singing along. It makes you merrier during your commute and jollier while strolling in public places. **The countdown begins** Join the nation in the Christmas countdown. Yes, there’s still the day for our dearly departed and Halloween, but the counting goes on. Things get really exciting and thrilling when you are down to the last 10 days before Christmas. 7. **Nothing beats the Christmas spirit** It’s just so easy to be cheerful and merry during the Christmas season. It’s a busy season, but everyone simply knows how to get their happiness on. It’s a beautiful season of giving and sharing. It’s a season for families and friends to get together. There are a lot of reasons why we love the ber months — from the comfort it brings to the merry spirit it spreads. This Christmas season, always remember to cheer up, have fun, and be happy. I know it's not yet the month of Christmas but for us Filipino Ber months Is the start of Christmas Season. And by the way I organized a give away and sponsorship for this coming September 08, 2020 if you want to join Click this -> Sponsorship X Give away https://read.cash/@Oslec08/sponsorship-x-give-away-fcd9df57 Have a happy Ber Months everyone :) You, What do you think of your Christmas for this year? Health And The Power of Immune System Hello Everyone It's me again @Oslec08 this article is about health and the power of immune system. **Immune System** The body's defense against infectious organisms and other invaders. A complex network of cells and proteins that defends the body against infection. **2 Types of Immunity** **Innate Immunity-** refers to nonspecific defense mechanisms that come into play immediately or within hours of an antigen's appearance in the body. Innate means Inborn or Natural it is the first line of defense. **Adaptive Immunity-** is a subsystem of the **immune** system that is composed of specialized, systemic cells and processes that eliminates pathogens by preventing their growth. also referred as the **acquired immune** system. Example: exposure to Infection, Vaccine and colostrum where our immune system adopts. **Cells of Immune System and It's Function** **Platelets-** The principal function of platelets is to prevent bleeding. **Monocyte-** are important in the immune system's ability to destroy invaders, but also in facilitating healing and repair. Monocytes are formed in the bone marrow and are released into peripheral blood, where they circulate for several days. **T lymphocytes-** play a central role in regulation of antigen-specific immune responses, by modulating the function of antigen-presenting cells, B lymphocytes, and other T lymphocytes, both through contact with (receptor binding) and secretion of cytokines and by direct killing of target cells. **Mast cell**- are well placed to serve as immune sentinel cells to both respond directly to pathogens and send signals to other tissues to modulate both innate and adaptive immune responses. They serve as a first line of defense against antigens entering the body due to their location in the skin and mucosa. **B Lymphocytes-** play a critical role in pathogen-specific immunity by producing antibodies. **Neutrophils-** are white blood cells that play some very important roles in our innate immune system. They circulate around our body in the bloodstream, and when they sense signals that an infection is present, they are the first cells to migrate to the site of the infection to begin killing the invading microbes. **Dendritic cells-**  represent a heterogeneous family of immune cells that link innate and adaptive immunity. The main function of these innate cells is to capture, process, and present antigens to adaptive immune cells and mediate their polarization into effector cells. **Basophils-** appear in many specific kinds of inflammatory reactions, particularly those that cause allergic symptoms. Basophils contain anticoagulant heparin, which prevents blood from clotting too quickly. They also contain the vasodilator histamine, which promotes blood flow to tissues. **Natural killer T Lymphocytes** **(NKT)** **cells-**  are lymphocytes that express both a T-cell receptor (TCR), characteristic of adaptive immunity, and surface receptors for NK cells, which are part of the innate immune response. **Eosinophills-** functions include: movement to inflamed areas, trapping substances, killing cells, anti-parasitic and bactericidal activity, participating in immediate allergic reactions, and modulating inflammatory responses. **Macrophages-** are specialised cells involved in the detection, phagocytosis and destruction of bacteria and other harmful organisms. **7 Ways You Might Be Harming Your Immune System** **Stress and Anxiety** **Alcohol** **Smoking** **Lack of Exercise** **Lack of Sleep** **Dehydration** **Unhealthy Diet** **Healthy ways to strengthen your immune system** **Don't smoke.** **Eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables.** **Exercise regularly.** **Maintain a healthy weight.** **If you drink alcohol, drink only in moderation.** **Get adequate sleep.** **Take steps to avoid infection, such as washing your hands frequently and cooking meats thoroughly.** **Take vitamin C** **Don't Smoke or Stop smoking**

Best Cryptocurrency Wallets to Use in the Philippines Hello everyone It's me again @Oslec08 , Mobile cryptocurrency wallets, multi-crypto wallets, desktop, and hardware wallets, check out wallets where you can store your crypto in this article. A cryptocurrency wallet is a piece of software or application where you **stor*e your Bitcoin, ether, or any other virtual currencies that you have. Think of it like the wallet where you store your money. You put your paper bills in the wallet. Everyone knows you have a wallet *(unless you don’t, which is very very alarming)*, but only you can take the money out of your wallet. Continue reading if you want to know more about cryptocurrency wallets not just for btc but for all coins.) **Private and Public Addresses** The cryptocurrency wallet has private and public keys (or private and public addresses). When you send your friend John an altcoin, you send it to his public address. **Remember that blockchain is a public ledger** Everyone John transacts with knows his public address. Everyone even knows *how much* altcoin is in his wallet. But only John can take the coin out of that wallet. That’s because he’s the only one who knows the private key (or private address) to open his wallet. Characteristics of Best Cryptocurrency Wallets Wallets come in different forms. there are different wallets for different cryptocurrencies. Well, there are wallets where you can put many coins. Examples are wallets on cryptocurrency exchanges (like the one on Bittrex). But wallets on an exchange are not secure. Furthermore, because exchanges trade millions of Bitcoin per day, they are a prime target for hackers. I will list down the best cryptocurrency wallet for users in the Philippines. Note: Every wallet listed here are wallets that you can freely download. Technically, all wallets are available globally, but some, like Abra, Coins, and Bitbit also have a team on the ground in PH. Some provide a watered-down version of their platforms, like Coinbase that only allows us to store our coins. Meaning, its wallet functions are available to us. But their other features, like quick exchange and trading are not available for users in the country. Best Cryptocurrency Wallets for Philippine users Online Wallets these are wallets you can access online, either on a web browser and/on a mobile device. These provide convenience although most of the time because they are connected to the Internet. However, most of them control your private keys. They are called “hot wallets” because of that. **Coins.ph** **Supported Coins** Bitcoin (BTC) Ethereum (ETH) Ripple (XRP) Bitcoin Cash (BCH) Peso (Php) Note: PH-based and has a mobile app **Bitbit.cash** **Supported Coins** Bitcoin (BTC) Note: PH-based and has a mobile app **Abra** **Supported Coins** Basic Attention Token (BAT) Bitcoin (BTC) Bitcoin Cash (BCH) Bitcoin SV (BSV) Dash coin (DASH) Ethereum (ETH) Ripple (XRP) Lite coin (LTC) And more crypto coins supported check here Abra https://support.abra.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001777311-What-Cryptocurrencies-does-Abra-support- Note: You have access to your private keys via recovery phrases **MyEtherWallet** **Supported Coins** ether ,ethereum-based coins Note: You control your private keys **Blockchain.info** **Supported Coins** Bitcoin (BTC) Bitcoin Cash (BCH) Ethereum (ETH) Stellar (XLM) USD Digital (USD-D) which was previously referred to as USD PAX.  Note: your private keys are encrypted with your password and has mobile wallet. They range from easy-to-use to complicated-looking user interface. Most of the time you control your private keys. Some, like Exodus, offers the ability to convert your coins to another via its Shapeshift integration (this means you can trade your coins instantly to any other supported coins). **Exodus** **Supported Coins** Bitcoin (BTC) Dash (DASH) Bitcoin Cash (BCH) Ethereum (ETH) Check here more supported coins Exodus https://www.exodus.io/status/ Note: Has MacOS/Linux versions and Mobile version.  You control your private keys and it has Shapeshift integration. **Electrum Wallet** **Supported Coin** Bitcoin (BTC) Note: You control your private keys **Bitcoin Core Client** https://bitcoin.org/en/download **Supported Coin** Bitcoin (BTC) Note:The original client, it downloads the blockchain and you control your private keys Hardware Wallets Hardware wallets are the real deal. Reimposition Death Penalty Do you agree or not? Hello everyone it's me again @Oslec08 This article is about Death Penalty, Filipinos have mixed opinions about the death penalty, with many opposing it on religious and humanitarian grounds, while advocates see it as a way of deterring crimes. Although the Philippines officially does not have capital punishment, extrajudicial killings are very common. Capital punishment opponents expect a steep battle to prevent President Rodrigo Duterte from reimposing the death penalty, as he renews calls for the law as part of a "drug war" that has already killed thousands of Filipinos. Since 2016 coming to power our President Duterte waged a brutal crackdown on suspected drug users and dealers, issuing police with shoot-to-kill orders while encouraging citizens to kill drug users too. Officially the police say they shoot only in self-defense and data shows more than 8,000 people have been killed in anti-drug operations. The nation's human rights commission estimates a toll as high as 27,000. The piling bodies have been documented by photojournalists whose images of dead suspects face-down in pools of blood after a police raid, or strewn on streets in suspected vigilante murders, have shocked the world. **How many have died in Philippines drugs war?** https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-50236481 **'Permission to kill' condemned in Duterte drug war** https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-52917560 I am not against the reimposition of the Death Penalty, but with the current situation of the country where the credibility of most of Policemen is questionable and untrustable most of them are involved in drugs to and planting of evidence can we imagined if the Death penalty is imposed many of the people who is falsely accused will suffer to this punishment without really committing a crime. For me I think Philippine Government are not yet ready for this. The Law enforcement needed to be improved and enhanced including the Criminal Justice System in the country. Disclaimer: all of the written above is just my opinion, i have no intentions of opposing and offending the government and the people who are not in favor of my opinion. But let me ask you if your a Filipino are you in favor of the reimpostion of Death penalty? What can you say about Extra-Judicial Killing? Please write you answers and opinions on the comment section i would love to read your answer. Mistaken Convictions Do you believed that all prisoners and inmates who are in jail are really guilty or committed crime? I Guess not because i don't believe that all of them are guilty and some of them are not and a victim of falsely accused, victim of frame up, and set up. In his annual address to the nation last month Mr President Duterte claimed reinstating the death penalty by lethal injection would "deter criminality". But there is little evidence to prove that the death penalty can be a deterrent. Instead research has shown the punishment frequently affects the most disadvantaged. In the Philippines alone the Supreme Court said in 2004 that 71.77% of death penalty verdicts handed by lower courts were wrong. "It was traumatic thinking that you can be put to death for a crime you did not commit," said by Dr. Narag, speaking from the US. Now 46, he was one of five men eventually acquitted, while the others were sentenced to life imprisonment. The experience has shaped his career. He now researches prolonged trial detention in the Philippines, while advocating for criminal justice reform. Dr Narag says that if he hadn't managed to track down a key witness, an overseas worker, to return home and testify, proving he wasn't at the crime scene, he may have been convicted. Through his advocacy he wants Filipinos to know the consequences of mistaken convictions, which could become mistaken executions if the law changes, in an already struggling justice system. The scope of and timeline for the eventual death penalty bill put to vote in parliament is uncertain, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Some have argued the bill should not be a priority. Gloria Lai, Asia director of the International Drug Policy Consortium, says the death penalty has not solved the drug-related problems of any country. "It is the poor and vulnerable who bear the harsh punishment of criminal justice systems in grossly unjust ways," she says.

Rip To All The Victim Died Jolo, Sulu Twin Bombing Incident Hello everyone it's me again @Oslec08 this article is about the twin bombing incident that happened yesterday August 24, 2020. **Yesterday 2 IED (Improvised Explosive Device) Explosions at Brgy. Walled City, Jolo, Sulu** The first explosion occured at 11:55 am infront of Paradise Grocery store at Brgy. Walled City, Jolo, Sulu and believed to be a vehicle borne improvised explosive device (IED) based on the initial investigation The explosion resulted to several casualties as follows: AFP Personnel 6 Killed in Action ( KIA) and 21 wounded in action Civilians 6 Killed and 48 wounded 24 in patient and 24 out patient In patient - it is the patient who stays in hospital while under treatment Out patient- it is the patient who receives medical treatment without being admitted to a hospital. The second explosion was at about 1:00 pm infront of the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) which is 100 meters away from the first incident. It was done or perpetrated by a female suicide bomber resulting to the following: AFP Personnel 1 Killed in Action (KIA) and 3 wounded in action\ PNP Personnel 1 Killed in Action (KIA) The severely wounded individuals airlifted to Zamboanga City for a more extensive medical care. The Joint Task Force Sulu, AFP together with the PNP and Local Government Unit of Sulu condemn in strongest term the terroristic act perpetrated by the terror group Abu Sayyaf. The soldiers and Policemen who were killed and injured were conducting roving security patrols that time in the area to secure the restaurants and grocery stores where Civilians resident mostly go. This is the ASG Sub-leader who is responsible for the bombing incident and the other female suicide bomber and still confirming on what is her nationality. It is sad to imagined despite of the pandemic situation they still manage to do things such as this. This is really show that the job of our soldiers and Policemen is always in danger because of this Terrorist I am extending my deepest condolence and sympathies to the families of soldiers, policemen, and civilians who perished and offered the ultimate sacrifice. i hope that the government will bring them into justice those who are responsible in this twin bombing incidents. Let's Pray for Jolo, Sulu's situation Everything will be fine Stay strong and brave God is always there for us keeping us safe Amen.

Knowledge Is Power About Bitcoin **What Is Bitcoin?** Bitcoin is a completely decentralized digital cryptocurrency. Unlike US dollars that you can hold in your hand (or in your bank account), there is no central authority or centralized payment system controlling Bitcoin. Instead, Bitcoin operates in a peer-to-peer network that allows anyone in the world to send and receive Bitcoin without any middleman (like a bank, central bank or payment processor). Although there are thousands of cryptocurrencies ranked on CMC today, Bitcoin was the very first cryptocurrency ever created. On Oct. 31, 2008 a person (or group of people) under the pseudonym “Satoshi Nakamoto” published the now-world famous Bitcoin white paper. The first line reads: “A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash, which would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution.” The Bitcoin network then launched on Jan. 3, 2009, marking the start of the cryptocurrency revolution. How Does Bitcoin Work? Bitcoin is a purely decentralized digital currency, which makes it unlike any other asset that came before it. Before the digital age, everyone transacted in physical forms of currencies, from livestock and salt, to silver and gold, and finally to banknotes. Only in recent times was money “digitized” — allowing bank accounts to exist online, as well as creating the many online payment processing platforms, such as PayPal and Square, that you often use today without thinking about it. However, all of these “digital transactions” require a centralized system to operate. Your bank, or financial services like PayPal, needs to ensure that all of their users’ accounts are constantly updated and tallied correctly. These systems represent the centralized form of digital money. Bitcoin revolutionized digital money by decentralizing this accounting process. Instead of a central figure that is responsible for making sure that their users’ transactions were always adding up, Bitcoin works by sharing the account balances and transactions of every user across the globe in a psenudoymous form. In simplest terms, this means that anyone can download and run the free and open-source software required to participate in the Bitcoin protocol. As a Bitcoin user, all you need to know to send Bitcoin to someone else is their Bitcoin address (a series of letters and numbers, not their name or any personal information!). By sending your Bitcoin to an address, what you are doing is broadcasting your transaction (Hi, I’m Alice sending 1 BTC to Bob!) across the Bitcoin network using blockchain technology (more about that below). Since the Bitcoin network has the most up-to-date ledger tracking Alice’s wallet balance, the system checks her wallet balance (i.e., Alice has 2 BTC in her wallet, so a transaction of 1 BTC to Bob is valid), and then completes the transaction. In summary, Bitcoin works by ensuring that this shared ledger always tallies up, and that new Bitcoin transactions (Bob sends 2 BTC back to Alice. Go Alice!) are validated, recorded and then added to the ledger in order. That is the heart of blockchain technology, where new “blocks of information” are added to the chain of blocks that already exist. **How Does Bitcoin Mining Work?** “Mining” refers to the act of adding new blocks to the blockchain. In simple terms, Bitcoin miners dedicate significant amounts of computing power to solve a cryptographic problem, which is basically a very complex puzzle. The successful miner that solves the puzzle before all the other miners gets rewarded with a “block reward,” which is an allocation of a predetermined number of Bitcoin. In some cases, the block rewards are awarded to mining pools, when miners group together to share resources. Once the puzzle is solved, the block is “confirmed,” and it is added to the blockchain. This new information is sent to all nodes, aka participants in the Bitcoin protocol, and the shared ledger is updated once again. As Bitcoin's price rises, the block reward becomes increasingly more attractive. This incentivizes more miners to join in the competition to mine for blocks. In return, the more miners there are in the system, the more secure the network is. In addition, the increased competition also means miners are continually investing in newer hardware to ensure their computing power remains relevant for the fight for block rewards. **What Is a Bitcoin Halving?** To ensure that the value of Bitcoin is not compromised by an infinite supply, Satoshi Nakamoto wrote in a “halving event” that happens every 210,000 blocks. When Bitcoin’s network first began, Bitcoin’s block reward was 50 BTC per block mined. This was halved in 2012, at block #210,000, where the block reward became 25 BTC. The second halving was in 2016, at block #420,000, and the block reward became 12.5 BTC. This process will continue every 210,000 blocks, until the total supply of BTC (21 million BTC) has been reached. It is estimated that the final block reward will be paid in 2140! **How Can I Store my Bitcoin?** There are many different ways of storing your Bitcoin – here’s just a few: Keep it on a Bitcoin exchange There are many Bitcoin different exchanges all over the world. All of these exchanges allow you to sell Bitcoin for other cryptocurrencies (altcoins) or government currencies (USD, EUR, GBP etc.) At the same time, these Bitcoin exchanges allow you to store your BTC with them, which means that the burden of keeping it safe is on them. Do note that incidents have occurred when exchanges have been hacked or lost their customers’ BTC, so do your own research when you’re looking for an exchange that’s safe to hold your crypto assets. Keep it in a Bitcoin wallet Instead of keeping it on a Bitcoin exchange, you could keep your Bitcoin in a Bitcoin wallet instead. Wallets come in two forms — hot and cold. Hot wallets are software that stays connected to the internet, aka storing your Bitcoin online. It is more convenient to transact via a hot wallet, but they logically are more susceptible to being attacked, as they stay connected to the internet. Cold wallets are wallets that are not “online.” They are less prone to attack, as hackers cannot access this type of cold storage via the internet, but they are also a lot less convenient for the user as they may be cost-prohibitive and require more technical understanding to operate. Examples of cold wallets are hardware wallets and paper wallet.

Social Media Harmful For Kids? Hello everyone It's me again @Oslec08 In this article we will talk about Social media and why is it harmful for kids. I was convinced that it is really harmful for kids when i saw one of my nephew watching something on YouTube which is not appropriate for his age i took the his phone to see what kind of video is that i saw a video of a woman vlogging about sexual matters and so disgusting to watch even the child doesn't understand the words of the lady on the video but the actions of lady in the video is so alarming. **Negative Effects of Social Media on Kids** The most-well known downside of social media is being addictive. This is really true most of people is addictive to social media such as millennials what more with the kids who are not guided by their parents on proper use of social media. Experts think that some features such as ‘likes’ and ‘shares’ activate the reward center in the brain. This reward circuitry is highly sensitive during adolescence and may partly explain why teenagers are more into social media than adults. These features further influence our moods. Being social creatures, we value interaction and connection, both of which determine how we think of ourselves. This drives a lot of our behavior on a day-to-day basis, which is centered around social media. 2. We know that being addicted to social media end up spending hours, each day, watching videos, photos, and other content posted in their accounts of others that they follow. This addiction disrupts other activities, such as school work, sports, study, and other productive routines. They end up wasting a substantial amount of time, every day, resulting in poor grades in school. Some heavy users of social media admit to checking their feeds as many as 100 times a day, and sometimes, during school hours too. Some of the kids also realize that they are wasting a lot of time on social media, which affects their mood negatively. It also builds in them a defeatist attitude. ( And I know this is true as i was experinced it to myself , I became addictive to social media resulting on failing my First take of License examination it destruct me from studying ) Using Facebook- The more they use Facebook, the more they feel dissatisfied with their lives, in general. Teens are also observed to be suffering from “Facebook depression” after spending too much time on it or other social networking sites. Some also become anxious and moody, as they see that the lives of their friends are better than their’s, even though they may know that their representation is idealised. However, vulnerable teens are more prone to this than their confident counterparts. and also check you sons social media because most of kids today doesn't like to be friends with their parents to avoid being caught on their activities on social media ( we parents are worrying if their attitude suddenly change without knowing the reasons why) one of the common reasons why their attitude change is the influence of social media on their lives or maybe they are experiencing Cyber bullying which is common on these days. Social interaction is critical to developing the skills needed to understand other people’s moods and emotions. Hence, children growing up interacting mostly with social media may turn out non-empathetic and also become poor at communicating verbally and non-verbally. Obsession with the self and posting endless updates and selfies on social media is increases narcissism in kids or teens. Their moods depend heavily on how appreciated their photos are on social media and they go into anxiety when they don’t get the attention they expect. Selfies turned into the most popular thing with the advent of camera phones. Taking selfies every hour and posting it on social media is strongly linked to narcissism, and can trigger obsessions with one’s looks. Some selfie addicts have been known to do dangerous things, such as scale skyscrapers, pose with wild animals or weapons, or stand close to moving vehicles, such as trains to get a “cool” selfie, which has ended fatally. Risky behavior is also observed in teens, as they participate in mass social media challenges that involve engaging in absurd or dangerous activities while filming themselves. Other dangers of social networking sites for children include cyber crime and cyber bullying. Bullying is easier on social media platforms, in the form of threatening messages or subtle posts with offensive content directed at a particular person. Younger children can also become targets of stalking by predatory individuals who intend to cause harm. Offensive, explicit and violent content is easily accessible on the internet, which impacts young minds. This content can shape their minds in the wrong manner, or cause them to become mentally disturbed, later affecting other avenues of their lives, from education to personal relationships, and more. How Can A Parents Help Their Kids Be Smart About Social Media? Parents always want the best for their children, while also protecting them from the worst. Parents try and enable children to handle bad situations, while also advising them to stay away from them in the first place. So here is how parents can be smart about their kids using social media.  Educating them about the pros and cons of Social media. Initially, set boundaries on what sites they can be on and for how long. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EdwJes_gMQ this will help you to block the sites that you don't want your kids to open or enter. Encourage your children to engage in more real-life communication with people, rather than online networking. They need to be taught the importance of spending more time in real-life friendships and activities Instead of constantly lecturing them about the bad influence of social media on children, encourage other interests or passions they may have. It could be hobbies, sports, social work or anything that is not virtual. Suggest them to use social media platforms constructively to enhance their learning, or to collaborate with others who have similar interests. Teach them how to differentiate between what has substance and what is not worth spending time on. Supervise their online activity, so you can teach them to protect themselves from online predators and bullies. Give them enough freedom, but ensure they know you are aware of their online habits. Join their social networking site so you can be better aware of how it works. If possible, follow them on the site so you can see their posts. However, refrain from commenting or interacting with their posts. If your child is often upset after looking at their phones or their time online, talk to them about it. They may need guidance on how not to take things that happen online, to their heart so you can give them some advice that will give them a peace of mind. You may even allow social media time as a reward for good behavior. They will surely love it. Let them understand that having 500 friends on Facebook doesn’t mean they are cool, social, or popular. and Put in to their minds that be friends only with people you know to avoid “Cyber-predators don’t just see a child online and then look for their address and go take them,” . That’s a predator of opportunity. Internet predators are predators that groom. They cultivate relationships with a child online and then have the child come to them, so they don’t have to take the risky approach of locating the child to abduct them.” Thank you for reading this article i hope i gave you an Informative article, you can use it as a guide or idea about social media to educate your kids about the bad and good side of it. You what do you think of the effect of social media to your kids? is it good or bad? please comment down below i would love to read your answers :)

Recycling Is a Must Hello everyone It's me again @Oslec08 Today's topic is about Garbage re-cycling, I'm living in the Philippines ranks as the world’s third biggest polluter, with 2.7 million metric tonnes of plastic waste generated each year. **Did you know that?** 1 million plastic bags are used every minutes? Dead sperm whale found in Indonesia had ingested '6 kg of plastic' A dead sperm whale that washed ashore in a national park in Indonesia had nearly 6 kg (13 lbs) of plastic waste in its stomach, park officials say. Items found 1000 pieces of plastics included 115 drinking cups, four plastic bottles, 25 plastic bags and two flip-flops. Only 5% of plastics only  are recycled it’s because of improper ways of disposing our trash or garbage, throwing anywhere or simply means littering and improper ways of segregating  garbage from  recyclable waste and non-recyclable waste. If this would continue according to UN report it’s possible that there will be more  plastics or garbage in the ocean than the fish in the year 2050. **There is Unlimited ways to fix our problem with garbage** 1.       **Proper Waste Segregation** Waste segregation is included in law because it is much easier to recycle. Effective segregation of wastes means that less waste goes to landfill which makes it cheaper and better for people and the environment. It is also important to segregate for public health to avoid pollution. 2.       From Recycled Plastics to Useful Chairs  **Filipino Engineer Winchester Lemen is a mechanical engineer from the southern Philippines and runs Envirotech Waste Recycling to turn plastic garbage into chairs.** Envirotech Waste Recycling (EWRI) began making chairs when a visitor came to his plant to ask if he could make something from recycled plastic, and the engineer presented prototype chairs made of melted plastic from landfills. The plastic garbage is collected, shredded, cleaned, melted and molded. After that, they are assembled, sanded and painted. Plastic waste needs to be addressed because it’s filling up trash bins and landfills with this kind of idea it helps clean the environment, create jobs and livelihood, convert them into school chairs, tables and  shelter.  3.      Plastic Bottles can be Used as a Pot for a plant   4.      Plastic can be turn into bags  5.       RECYCLING AND UPCYCLING CAN BE FUN AND EASY   Recycling is a key to saving this world. By recycling the old things, we consume less. It doesn't only help to save the money, but also helps not to produce more waste. Look closer at the things you wanted to throw away – what's there? I bet there are plastic bottles, old toys and clothes, toilet paper rolls, old pool noodles... Did you know that you can turn all this (seemingly) useless stuff into something really cool and exciting? All you need is a bit of inspiration (and our valuable tips for kids, of course). Let's start turning trash into treasure! I'll tag some Youtube video's to give you some ideas about UPCYCLING . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkHEJEzMKwc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-6GLn4RaFQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNGhYZ9EpAY I encouraging everybody let's start Recycling and making our mother earth clean Let's be responsible on our Trash and segregate it properly. Thank you for taking time to read this article i hope i inspire you to start doing recycling waste.
