Watermelon! The watermelon we've had recently has been wonderful! It's been tasty and sweet. The pic is from a watermelon we bought recently in Dipolo. Dipolo has what I call "watermelon row", which is a stand of stores selling watermelon along the main road. It's a cool way to buy watermelon. You just pull your car, multicab, or sidecar off to the side of the road, and the folks in the store will weight your watermelon for you, and even put it in your car, (or multicab or sidecar.) Dipolo, (NOT to be confused with Dipolog, which is in Zamboanga del Norte), is actually part of the municipality of Molave. Now this whole "barangay", "municipality", and "province" things confuses the heck out of me, because there is clearly an urban cluster called "Molave", (it even has a "Welcome to Molave" sign), but at the same time "Molave" refers to more than just that town? Maybe if you go to this website, https://www.philatlas.com/mindanao/r09/zamboanga-del-sur/molave/dipolo.html , and read up on it, you will understand it better than me! Anyway ...... enough of that. Let's just enjoy our watermelon! #MyLife

it looks like tasty, yummy :) . Here in Spain, the watermelon is called Sandia... and it's similar as you look at the picture. Maybe the ancient Spaniers took the watermelon to Filipinas... or the opossite... who knows hahahaha... in any case, enjoy!
Habla español, si? I wish people here in Philippines spoke Spanish, because then I would have a chance of understanding them! Anyway, I bet you're correct, as according to Wikipedia watermelon originated in Africa. It would make sense that Spain took the watermelon to the Philippines, to grow it here.
