Phipps Conservatory Last year, when we were still in the USA, we travelled to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and visited the wonderful Phipps Conservatory, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phipps_Conservatory_and_Botanical_Gardens . I grew up in Pittsburgh, and Phipps was one of my favorite places to visit when I was a kid. We haven't lived in Pittsburgh in years, (three decades or more!), but I am pleased to say that the conservatory is still going strong, and in fact was expanded during the years we were gone. If you ever find yourself in Pittsburgh, I STRONGLY recommend a visit to Phipps. It's something that kids and old farts like me can both enjoy. Covid19 has dorked up the ease with which you may schedule a visit, as it has dorked up historic sites and attractions all over the world. (Note that even if you have been vaccinated, you must wear a face diaper!) But it will take more than Covid to ruin your time wandering through the many planted rooms in Phipps Conservatory.
