Is This A Bug? Good day @read.cash. My phone was reset this morning, as usual I was asked to input my seed phrases so as to access my wallet. To my surprise, a new wallet address showed up with zero balance. The most astonished aspect of it is that the new address is working with the old seed phrases. I am only fortunate to have left just a few cents in the wallet, else would have lost a lot. I will appreciate it if @read.cash could shed light on this. Thanks.

Vending Machines Drop BTC For BCH It was a drama few weeks ago when HongKong vending machines turned down BTC and adopts BCH instead. This unprecedented event has generated a lot of heat and lock horns among top crypto enthusiasts and maximalists with regards to the fact that it was masterminded by strong proponents of BCH. Roger Ver, an ardent supporter of BCH posted a May 29, 2020 video on Twitter of a HongKong vending machine accepting BCH but not BTC. No sooner had he done that than Bitcoin trader, Tone Vays claimed Roger Ver paid for the machine to drop BTC. However, Roger Ver debunked it, claiming he had never invested in the machine and doesn't even know who owns the machine. Trader Willy Woo also supported Vays, adding " it is common practice for lower tier altcoins to pay to get access to ATMs and vending machines since they are centralized". To silence them all, Roger Ver takes the stance that BTC is not enough like digital cash. Adding that the machines are dumping BTC because its fees are too high, network speed too slow and the payments are too easy to reverse. Economic-Geology If you ask a prospective candidate seeking admission into a university or polytechnic to study Geology that "why do you think Economics as a subject is important for you"? Perhaps, he would tell you Geology is an applied science and has nothing to do with Economics, a social science subject. In the long run, after the first year which is a preamble year into the study of Geology and he is to take courses in Economics aspect of Geology; he would probably remember your question. Economic-Geology is the branch of Geology that examines the economic parameters which determine if a proposed geological project is viable or not. This is the major aspect of geological considerations which oil exploration and solid minerals exploration companies don't joke with. However, it is irrelevant to a layman outside the profession. This is why you hear laymen say: "we have petroleum deposit in my community, but is not tapped; we have gold deposit in my town but is not exploited". The salient explanations to those scenarios is owed to Economic-Geology. This is where we apply the principle of the "Return on Investment"(ROI) to determine if the project is viable or not. This is simple. After all the favorable and unfavorable factors regarding the project have been considered, vis-à-vis the fund to be sunk in the project compared to the revenue to be generated from the project and lastly the lifespan of the project, the company can now decide whether to continue with the project or not. Hence, the knowledge of Economics is vital for Geologists so as not to sink the whole organization into bankruptcy.

Boosting Africa's GDP By Tourism Tourism is a vital economic tool that can be used to boost Africa's GDP on yearly basis. It contributes almost 9.0% of its GDP annually. This is tantamount to almost $200 billion reckoning with the 2019 tourism revenue survey I made. This record positions Africa as the second largest growing tourism hub in the world at a grow rate of 5.7%, next to Asia Pacific as the first hub. However, these figures will definitely go down as a result of Covid-19 pandemic which has halted travel and tourism for some months. Tourism industry remained highly untapped in Africa, with a huge potential and blessed with numerous natural physical features spread across the nooks and crannies of the continent. Africa received up to 75 million international tourists in 2019 vis-à-vis the 67 million tourists in 2018. This increase is attributed to the affordability and ease of travel within the continent. This in turn translates to huge amount of revenue for governments as well as organisations in the industry. To accomplish the realisation of the full potential gains in the industry will require the cooperations of governments in easing visa requirements for foreign tourists coming into their countries, access to forex and tourism centres information. In addition, safety of tourists must be well guaranteed, infrastructures must be well developed and the tourism centres must be made attractive. With all these solutions on ground, tourism will definitely boost the GDP of Africa beyond expectations.

Limit Number Of Articles On Read.Cash I write this article as a "clarion call" on the management of our esteemed platform, read.cash to limit the number of publishable articles to maximum of five per day per writer. This is very crucial and deemed necessary if the management is keen on realising the objective of creating the website and want potential sponsors to commit their funds on regular basis. I can observe vividly that some unscrupulous elements on the platform are just interested in earning BCH, either by hook or crook. In view of this, they've resulted to plagiarising other peoples work on read.cash, without minding the legal consequences the owners of the noble website could face from the original authors if such arise. Some practitioners of this nefarious act are so myopic in their doings to the extent that they could not even edit what they've copied and dumped on read.cash. I am forced to mention this writer, @Anuragjr who has published more than ten plagiarized and unedited articles just this morning. My comments on some of the articles have justified his actions, else he should prove to us the articles are his original work. Likewise, some community moderators are not helping read.cash. They are just allowing garbages in to the communities. Yesterday, I rejected an article in a community as it is not fit to be accepted there based on the topic and content. Alas! within few minutes the article surfaced on the homepage. Are we really serious at all? Are we helping read.cash or just parasiting it? Please let's put all hands on the deck to ensure the success of this first-class blogging site. We shouldn't turn it to a dumping ground for toxic articles that can repel the outsiders away. I hereby urge the management of read.cash to use its good office to deliberate on my opinion and possibly add it to its ongoing restructuring operations. Long live read.cash!

BitcoinCash Mass Adoption By Countries BitcoinCash, a hard fork of Bitcoin that took place on August 1st, 2017 which implemented an increased Block size to 8MB with a goal of confirming transactions even faster and including more transactions into each Block. Ever since the hard fork event, BitcoinCash has been hinging on its advantages; which are salient in the cryptocurrency ecosystem over Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to attract mass adoptions from different countries, by amount of businesses accepting it as payment option in each country. Bitcoin Trading In Africa Takes Giant Leap Africa has witnessed an upsurge of growth among peer-to-peer Bitcoin traders within the last month. Bitcoin traders in Africa have their feet on the rocket speed, with no intention of slowing down any time soon. Africans prefer p2p trading because it reduces commissions and allows for a direct relationship with other customers. Less than two weeks after registering all-time high p2p trading volumes at the regional level; Africa has done it again. According to data from analytics site, Useful Tulips, Bitcoin traders in Africa exchanged the equivalent of more than $15.5m across p2p platforms such as LocalBitcoins and Paxful. With this development, Bitcoin trading volume in Africa is currently outpacing local trading in Latin America, a region often taken as reference point when examining regional p2p volumes. Just over $11m worth of Bitcoin was trading through Latin America over the last one week. The growth in local trading reflects the increased interest in cryptocurrency within the continent, as local inflation rates range between 4% and 7% year-on-year and economic uncertainty stemming from the Covid-19 outbreak combined with with a widespread economic recession. In a swift response, a growing number of African traders view Bitcoin as a viable store of value. From further analysis of the continent's breakdown, Nigeria saw considerable growth; registering more than $9.3m in weekly trading volume, 400% more than South Africa, its closest competitor. Cryptocurrency Adoption In Nigeria. Nigeria, the largest economy in the continent is facing a myriad of economic challenges. Recently, it overtook India as the nation with the chunk population living in abject poverty, almost 99 million of its over 200 million people. The following economic indicators in Nigeria buttress the point that the nation is facing a hard time economically: *Oil price: $23 from $65 per barrel. *Per capita income: $2,222 *GDP(Annual growth rate): 2.55%. *Unemployment rate: 23.1%. *Inflation rate: 12.26%. *External debt: over $65billion. Higher prices since the inception of the year, coupled with the effects of Covid-19 have been paving ways for greater adoption of cryptocurrencies in Nigeria. The uptrending, though started since December 2019. Only Ghana and South Africa are rivaling Nigeria when it comes to cryptocurrency affairs. Despite the desperate and irrelevant warnings issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria against the adoption of cryptocurrency, Nigerians are not deterred from trying to learn more about cryptocurrencies, trading coins and using them in everyday life. For example, trading volumes on localbitcoins.com are picking up again, reaching over N650m(over $1.82m) a week according to Coin Dance data. Cryptocurrencies provide an economical alternative to the fiat system, but to be a viable option a functioning trading and exchange infrastructure is needed. Luckily enough, Nigeria has a number of local platforms that offer services for buying and selling cryptocurrencies against Naira(watch out for this in my next article). As the major cryptocurrencies well known in Nigeria are Bitcoin(BTC), Bitcoin Cash(BCH), Ether(ETH) and Litecoin(LTC); with much popularity centered on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash following it, I need to mention the giant stride being taken by "Paychant", a payment processor that offers a cryptocurrency gateway for businesses to accept digital coins through instant conversion to Nigerian Naira, helping them to play safe against crypto price volatility. The platform currently supports BTC and ETH. In few weeks back, it erected Bitcoin ATMs at strategic locations of Lagos State as pioneering state. Merchants who want to accept cryptocurrency directly can download and install the "Bitcoin Cash Register" app. The POS(point of sale) software will allow them to process BCH payments. "With this accelerated trending in cryptocurrency adoption in Nigeria, the country can become a leading example of cryptocurrency adoption soonest than anyone can think of". [sponsors]

Which Cryptocurrency Is Worth Investing In? Out of literally thousands of options in cryptocurrency, how does anyone choose which is worth investing in? This particular task is a headache in itself. There's a ton of excellent accessible information out there that can help you start, secure and use a cryptocurrency to its fullest abilities, what seems missing from most of them is how exactly do you pick the cryptocurrency to start with anyway? Perhaps the best way to start is choosing one of the widely accepted "big name cryptos". Cryptos like BTC and BCH are excellent networks to get your feet stand well. Bitcoin is an ideal investment because it's so widely known and has been running the longest game by far. Where it becomes difficult is finding the right buy-in window, high trading fees, long time wait and its biggest dump despite it is worth thousand dollars- "start big, yet smaller". In contrast, Bitcoincash(BCH) is far less expensive, works with smaller wait time and comes with a much deeper well of available tech exploration for information and trading. BCH is the "granddaddy" you're looking for. Do your homework really on excellent social medium like Reddit to have some valuable information regarding investments in cryptocurrency to get you start well. [sponsors]

Benefits Of Cryptocurrency Over Fiat Currency. The term cryptocurrecy is still strange or illusive to many people, especially Africans as they only believe in fiat currency as the medium of transactions, investments and storage of value. As a matter of fact, there are lot of things people should pay attention to in cryptocurrecy world. In view of this fact, I will shed light on some advantages of cryptocurrency over the fiat currency. **Decentralized**No person or government controls it. It is created by miners who solve complex algorithms using block chain technology. Likewise, cryptocurrency has a maximum number that will ever be created, e.g BTC and BCH both will have only 21million coins in circulation. **Transaction** **speed** Cryptocurrency makes sending and receiving money faster than fiat currency which may take days. **Tracking of transactions** Cryptocurrency makes it possible to track and view the details of every transaction, eliminating the bank bureaucracy. **Online/Real-time transaction** Transactions can be done online, real-time anywhere in the world as it encourages borderless digital transactions. **Low transaction fee** It costs just a few cents to do transactions with crptocurrency, unlike fiat currency which may gulp some hundreds to thousands of dollars. **Investment Asset** It is possible to earn good income from the price fluctuations associated with cryptocurrencyYou buy when the price is low and sell when the price is high. **Anonymity** You can do transactions anonymously with cryptocurrency hence your identity is undisclosed to people.
