When hubby went shopping earlier this week I asked him to bring apples for our red cabbage on Thanksgiving. I didn't specify that I only needed two or three apples, so hubby bought a whole bag of about 20 apples. What to do with so many apples? Why, of course, apple pie!

Great move. Do you eat with custard?
Yes and no. I had that 'discussion' yesterday on stream with @cybergrinder and I think I need to clarify. If with custard you mean a kind of fluid milk vanilla sauce (in German - Vanillesauce) then yes, I absolutely would but I didn't make any this time. Usually, when I hear custard I think of the more solid kind of custard (in German - Vanillepudding), and that stuff I hate!
I was thinking of the british Birdseye custard variant, i guess that may be similar to the Vanillepudding type.
Hmm, I don't know Birdseye custard tbh. For this let's stick to the German: Vanillepudding - nein, danke, Vanillesauce - ja, bitte 😝
