By illuminating this leaf with extremely warm light—while at the same time illuminating the stone surface with daylight-colored light—the leaf stood out a bit more from it’s surroundings. Nikon D850 | PC-E Micro Nikkor 45mm f/2.8D ED #NikonNoFilter #NikonAmbassador

A very simple image that uses only two Speedlights, a very sharp lens, and some inexpensive twinkling lights to create the circular shapes in the background. Nikon Z 6 | AF-S Nikkor 85mm f/1.4G | 5000K White Balance | 1/60 @ f/1.4 #NikonNoFilter #NikonAmbassador

Tossing em' back- on a cool rainy morning in Oregon, an American robin feasts on holly berries. Toxic to human, the berries are an important winter food for many birds. Shot w/Nikon Z6ii and the amazing AF-S NIKKOR 800mm f/5.6E FL ED VR lens

Intertwined... I love being surrounded by fall color, looking up toward leaves of gold and a deep blue sky is always a treat for me, I feel so immersed in autumn! This was photographed with my NikonUSA Z 7II and NIKKOR 8-15mm lens at 15mm.

@Obong

Early morning light and colorful reflections created a great opportunity to photograph this duck. Shot with my Nikon Z 6II and NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S lens close to water level to surround the posing duck with reflections of vibrant fall color.

@Obong

Patterns, colors, and textures of a butterfly. Light reveals the beauty to the lens—in this case, the razor-sharp new Nikkor Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S—and the Z 7II camera records every intricate detail.

Wading birds, a heron and an egret make a pair of beautiful silhouettes when surrounded by colorful reflections in late afternoon light. The NIKKOR Z 70-200mm & 2X converter was perfect for covering a variety of shots in quickly changing light conditions. Happy Holidays

I approach product images like a beautiful landscape: Light, depth, color, tone and texture are all interesting elements to be explored and captured. Nikon Z 7II | F-Mount Adapter FTZ | PC-E Micro Nikkor 45mm f/2.8D ED |

The ideal camera is one that removes any friction between the picture you imagine, and the picture you create. That’s the camera to have. Nikon Z 7II | Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S | ISO 400 | 1/1600 @ f/4.0 |

@Obong

Took delivery of my NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S production model and found that it lived up to all of the reviews and more. Here are images made of my Aussie and enlargements of the original NEF.

Shooting swan portraits and reflections with the new Nikon Z 9, FTZII adapter, and NIKKOR 500mm f/5.6E PF lens was an amazing experience! Most impressive is the proactive autofocus system, it locks on and stays focused on erratically moving subjects.

@Obong

This Egyptian goose was photographed 30 minutes before sunset with the Nikon Z 9, FTZ II adapter and NIKKOR 500mm PF lens. I was mesmerized by the reflections, and by the performance features of the new Z9!

@Obong

Before I turn my pristine Z 9 camera into a used Z 9 camera, I thought I would make some macro images of some of my favorite contours of the new flagship. Nikon Z 7II | Nikkor Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S | 1/80 @ f/4.0 |

@Obong

Leaves are gone, winter’s moving along. Still one of the prettiest sunrises I’ve seen, in the chill of this morning’s dawn.

@Obong

Always have felt lucky & proud to be a Nikon Ambassador. Never more than today. The future arrived in a box. It's bright. Onto '22, camera in hand! Thanks to Nikon, & Thumbs up for the engineers who create genius tech like this. Opens the door to more picture possibilities

With New Year's Eve looming, TimesSquare is trending. Here's a view of what the Coca Cola sign used to look like, circa the 80's. Changed the bulbs by hand.

@Obong

Days do dwindle down. The colors of fall in NYC are surrendering to the chill of winter. Shot this just a bit ago in Central Park. Using now simply the best ball head I've ever used, a Series 4. Supremely stable & Fun to use.

@Obong

These butterfly wings are very small—perhaps the size of your thumb—but captured at 1:1 they feel much, much larger. Nikon Z 9 | Nikkor Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S | 5500K White Balance | 31 RAW Captures | ISO 800 | 1/6 @ f/11

“Found objects” are often the most fun to photograph precisely because they’re NOT a typical subject. This is a plastic sleeve used to protect a makeup brush during shipping. Nikon Z 9 | Nikkor Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S

@Obong

Not sure if I will be able to match the conditions we experienced in the Rockies a couple of years back in January: Awesome ice formations coupled with some great colour! Looking forward to finding some alternative things to point my camera at this winter!

@Obong

Really enjoying the sub zero temperatures this week! Every time I go out it's like a new adventure as ice transforms my local haunts into something magical. Persuaded Jack to join me for this shot too!

@Obong

Goose, with watery reflections, I love the gracefulness and action of the wings. The Nikon Z 9 tracked with the eyes during the entire wing flap, keeping focus with every movement. It’s such a joy to watch and have the opportunity to capture every detail.

@Obong

This makeup brush has too many bristles to count, but they were certainly fun to light and photograph. Nikon Z 9 | Nikkor Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S | 57500K White Balance | ISO 200 | 1/800 @ f/5.

Let’s wrap up the year 2021 with this beauty. From this morning's Nikon Z9 tests. This is a small spool of thread—no wider than a finger. But at a magnification of 1:1, or life-size, the lustrous thread is revealed to resemble metallic links that are finer than a human hair. Nikon Z7 |

Interesting scenes sometimes need one additional element—like a person walking by in silhouette—to show scale, to give context, or to simply add motion to an otherwise static scene. (c) Andysheridan Photography 2022
