@Obong

A simple object that seems to illustrate and define so much from last year. Nikon Z 6 | F-Mount Adapter FTZ | PC-E Micro Nikkor 45mm f/2.8D ED | ISO 100 | 1/25 @ f/9

@Obong

This peacock crown feather was photographed at 10X, or ten-times life size to reveal it's intricate detail. I used three lights and 78 focus-stacked images to create the final image. Nikon Z7 | #Photography

@Obong

The downy barbs of a feather captured with the new Nikon Z 7II. Rich tonal range, silky transitions between tones, and deep resolving power. Nothing short of remarkable. Nikon Z 7II | AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED #Photography

@Obong

Carrying a proper camera inspires you to see through the eye of a lens. These are reflections of reflections, within reflections. A single exposure, of three different subjects, reflecting one another in a window display.

@Obong

These "explosions of light" are simply light rays refracting through droplets of water photographed at high magnification. Nikon D850 | AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED | 5250K | RAW Capture | ISO 100 | 1/1000 sec @ f/5.6 #Photography

@Obong

The dimensional layers of these pheasant feathers really shows the different textures that exist in nature on a very small scale. Nikon Z7 | FTZ | 105mm f/2.8G | Focus Stacked

@Obong

Aligning the spirals of the actual ribbon with the reflection in the mirror it’s resting on creates a slightly disorienting illusion of the ribbon passing through a surface. Nikon D850 | AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED

@Obong

Interesting images can often be made from the parts or pieces of the whole. In this case, looking underneath a flower revealed attractive colors and textures. Nikon D810 | AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED |1/15 @ f/16 #Photography

@Obong

I’m having a bowl of spiced roasted chicken for Lunch. What are you having for Lunch? #Food

@Obong

Butterfly wing detail photographed at life-size—or 1:1. The frame is the size of a postage stamp. Three light sources reveal the texture and shape, and the Z7 automatically makes 78 captures for focus stacking. Nikon Z7

@Obong

A motion portrait made during the @summitworkshops Sports Workshop in CA. We used three lights with different modifiers to obtain the final look for this image of @theblackranger #Photography

@Obong

Combining this bar tool with a reflective surface, colorful light, and an unexpected angle, a picture emerges from an ordinary kitchen object. Nikon Z7 | AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED | SB-5000 Speedlights

@Obong

If you enjoy the occasional cocktail, you probably recognize this shapely bar tool. It’s from my kitchen cabinet. It works well as a strainer, but alsol as an abstract subject when blended with some colorful light. #Photography

@Obong

Savor low-light sights with the powerful NikonZ5.

@Obong

Shooting for the sky Shot with the Nikon Z 6 and NIKKOR Z 14-30mm f/4 S

@Obong

There isn’t anything more beautiful than being yourself. Captured with a Nikon Z7II + #Nikkor 85mm f/1.4G f/1.6 | ISO 200 | 1/800

@Obong

Will today be the day you catch that lucky shot? Shot with the Nikon Z 7 and NIKKOR Z 14-30mm f/4 S

@Obong

Just a hint of a crescent moon when I got to the beach one morning in May. Photographed with my Nikon Z 7II and NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S lens, my favorite lens to capture as much of the vast and interesting landscape as possible. Have a great day!

@Obong

Impressionistic imagery captured just above the waves. I used two separate photos blended in-camera using Image Overlay in the Retouch menu of my Nikon Z 6II. I like the splash and bubbles of the different photos and thought they would make a good pairing.

@Obong

Here are some of the birds that have been visiting my backyard here in Florida. A pair of brown thrashers, courting cardinals, and beautiful painting bunting, my first time ever seeing this colorful bird! Shot with Nikon Z 7II and NIKKOR 500 PF lens.

@Obong

I was so excited to capture this image of an F-18 fighter jet as it approaches the speed of sound and creates a flash of vapor that only lasts a split second!! Thankful to my Nikon for locking on and focusing while shooting 12 fps to make this possible!

@Obong

Creating while staying safe: A metallic coffee filter from the kitchen resting on a sheet of glass with a colorful background.

@Obong

This is an image of a plastic kitchen sink mat that was made by simply utilizing colored light, a very sharp lens, and some water droplets on glass. Nikon D850 | AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED | ISO 400 | 1/3 sec @ f/45 |

@Obong

A cupcake holder I soaked in water, flattened, and then adjusted until the image in the droplet and the out of focus background seemed to compliment one another. Nikon Z7 | F-Mount Adapter FTZ | AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED #Photography

@Obong

The tonal range is smooth, color is precise, and at full-frame, the detail is rich with nuance. Move in close, and the astonishing resolving power of the Nikkor Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S becomes deeply apparent.

@Obong

The supporting structure, or gills, of this tiny mushroom are revealed through high magnification, directional light, and focus stacking

@Obong

Creativity and inspiration can be difficult to muster when so much of our routine is in disarray. Making pictures around the house can be a welcome diversion—a buoy, if you will, that keeps us afloat, and alive. #Photography

@Obong

Mixing colors is immersive—and insanely fun. The interplay between hues, the combinations they produce, and finding the appropriate balance is an artistic challenge. Nikon Z7 | FTZ | PC-E Micro NIKKOR 45mm f/2.8D | 1/160 @ f/9

@Obong

Making pictures is a joy—whether it’s in the highlands of New Guinea, the blue waters of the Red Sea, or atop a kitchen counter. The subjects are there for us to discover, interpret, and share through photographs.

@Obong

The NIKKOR Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S did beautifully with no lag or frustrating 'searching' in lower light situations. I also found the image stabilization allowed me to shoot longer at lower ISOs as the light faded

@Obong

Blessings on the journey.... Stay the course! #Photography

@Obong

Light follows a fascinating path through the edges, facets, and whorls of a beautiful glass bowl. A single source provided the illumination, and a macro lens captured the gentle undulations.

@Obong

Before we hear "and they're off" at a big stakes race

@Obong

This evening I shot this frog with the Z 7 and AF-S VR Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED with the Mount Adapter FTZ

@Obong

Otherworldly... About 30 minutes before sunrise, this calm Florida seascape looked like something from another planet. This 25-second shot was taken with my Nikon Z 7II and NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S wide-angle zoom lens. I hope you have a wonderful weekend 🙂

@Obong

Creating while staying safe: A yellow silicone pressure cooker egg rack, and a rubber drawer liner used as a background. #Photography

@Obong

The topside of a beautiful butterfly who’s color reveals details unseeable with the naked eye. The image was made at a magnification of 5X and the entire image is only about as wide as a credit card edge.

@Obong

Lights will guide you home. A magical night under the northern lights in the Lofoten Islands. . 📸 Nikon D5 + NIKKOR 14-24mm f/2.8 @ f/2.8, 8 sek, ISO 800, 17mm

@Obong

I played with the shutter speed of the Nikon Z6 to create this long exposure shot of a colourful light trail in Selvino #Philippines

@Obong

This is what it looks like when Swedish Z Creator Göran Strand is out hunting for northern lights. Camera: D850 + Nikon AF-S 14-24mm f/2,8 G ED @ f/2.8, 10 sec, ISO 1600, 14mm Man: D850 + Nikon AF-S 14-24mm f/2,8 G ED @ f/2.8, 20 sec, ISO 800, 24mm

With the possibility of safe travel edging closer, even the sight of an airport fills us with anticipation. Shots of planes parked in Tallinn Airport in Estonia, taken with my Nikon D850

@Obong

Last month I took my Nikon Z7 and NIKKOR Z 14-30mm lens on a mission to the Atlantic Ocean in a bid to create new memories. Using my Nikon kit, I took this perfectly timed photograph of the waves crashing into a lighthouse.

@Obong

While I was photographing the musk ox at Dovrefjell in Norway, I experienced very windy weather! The snowflakes flew with the wind above the surface, creating these interesting formations in the landscape. 📸 Nikon Z 7II + NIKKOR Z VR 200-500mm f/5.6E

@Obong

This shot was taken with my Nikon Z7 in the Wadi Rum Desert, after a camel back tour. This atmospheric image is intensely cinematic, with two subjects bathed in the warming glow of the fire.

@Obong

On my last travel 2years ago, some shots from a stunning project with a Masai tribe in Zanzibar. Shot with Nikon Z6, the vibrant reds of the clothes juxtapose the grey skies to create this beautiful image

@Obong

Today I walked down this pathway with an old friend. It did me good... #Photography

@Obong

Gather; That’s what we do...that’s what we’ve always done. It’s deep down there. People - we’ve missed each other so much I’m still waiting on my vaccine appointment, but must be getting close now... I’m looking forward to gathering again

@Obong

I walked home through Viking Place this evening - there were groups gathered on corners, neighbours & friends - a nice feeling in the air...even the sounds of four part harmony shanties. Close to peek Stoneybatter...but it was nice, calm. Pictures taken with my phone

@Obong

Sunrise, looking towards the Beckett bridge. These days we can finally feel the promise of summer. The city is reawakening... Photo taken with my phone

@Obong

About 2 weeks ago Location for my full moon shots; Colliemore Harbour, Dalkey A calm, almost balmy night...some lads fishing from the quay, a guy out on a paddle board, a group of ladies night swimming, all under the soft yellow light of the Flower Moon. A beautiful night in Dublin #Photography

@Obong

Good luck to all in the hospitality sector today. It’s been such a long road to this point. To the punters; you’re out-of-practice - take it handy out there, ease into it...sláinte folks. #Photography

@Obong

Make a splash… This was photographed at sunrise using my Nikon Z 6II and NIKKOR Z 14-30mm f/4 S wide-angle lens. I ended up shooting with my mid-range zoom for the bubble part of this edited double exposure shot.

@Obong

Sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean. I like to reach for my wide-angle lens to capture a vast seascape. Photographed with the Nikon Z7II and NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S lens in South Florida.

@Obong

It’s funny how life leads us on a journey. My camera used to sit for way too long in my closet. Now I am creating and marveling at nature almost every day

@Obong

Six minutes in beautiful San Francisco… I look forward to traveling here again. Shot with my Nikon Z 7 using 15 stop ND, 16-35mm and FTZ mount adaptor.

@Obong

Patterns, colors, and textures of a butterfly. Light reveals the beauty to the lens—in this case, the razor-sharp new Nikkor Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S—and the Z 7II camera records every intricate detail. #Photography
