Currently admiring the pocket watch my best friend gave me ;;w;; too early for Christmas, yes. But we probably won't even get to see each other over the holidays so better to do the early exchange gift now I do love skeletal mechanical clocks ;;w;; I think I've already mentioned it but I'll say it again. It doesn't need batteries, just winding it works. I'm considering making it a family heirloom one day 🤣🤣🤣

You are lucky to have gifts from friends. And the pocket watch is really wonderful. But I did not get the winding thing.
It has a wind up key at the back. Kind of like those toys you have to wind up to work? This has the same mechanism but it has a thinner metal coil that's more compressible so it works longer compared to the toys And this shows how much I admire old watches 🤣🤣🤣
Well does it need to be wind after 24 hours regularly? And fix the time everyday?
Not really. Just winding it a couple of times and it's good for the whole day. I usually just wind it after every few hours just to make sure since it doesn't take a lot to wind it anyways
Oh I see. Now a days the battery does the thing that we had to do. And stopped using watch since the mobile came up to me. Hehe. But my little sister gifted me a wrist analog watch in my last birthday.
I only use the digital ones if I'm in the lab since some reactions really need to have exact reaction times but I'd still go for analog any day That's a nice gift though UwU she must've really spent a lot of time looking through designs

I'm happier she remembers minor details like this because I rarely talk about watches
