OASIS Update: filter out the noise!
Dear friends of OASIS!
We are thrilled to announce our latest update with you. We have just released a brand new version bringing you... filters! We are very excited about this one as it brings a lot of new fun ways to browse the market, your own NFTs or entire collections.
Let's jump right in.
Auction Layout
First you'll notice that the auction pages have changed slightly:
You'll find these tabs on top of each collection page containing:
**- Market**
As it was before, the pages by default show you the market, with all the active/running auctions.
**- Wallet**
The wallet page is now conveniently found on this page as well, making it very easy to switch between your assets and the assets on the market. The tab won't be visible if you don't own tokens of the particular collection.
**- Browse**
The browse tab will feature a new component: the collection browser. Here you can browse the entire collection, in full.
With this new layout, especially bringing the wallet tab to this page will allow user to navigate specific collection a lot easier as it brings everything in one place. No more clicking around to reach your own wallet.
Filtering
And now on to the star of this update, traits filtering! On most collections you'll find a new button next to the sorting dropdown:
Pressing the 'Traits filter' button will present you with the filter screen:
This new component lets you filter the entire market for any combination of traits you want to see. On top of that it will show you exactly how many matches a selection will have, allowing you to find what you're looking for quickly. You can select multiple items for each group as well. Look for the specific trait, or simply type the name in search box.
After making the selection, click the button and you'll be presented with all the items that match your selection:
As you can see, your selection will always be visible at the top, which will stick to the header as you scroll down. This let's you easily tweak the filters as you browse.
But there's more! The set filter will automatically apply to the other tabs, allowing you to compare the market, your wallet and the entire collection.
On top of that, the filter selection gets embedded in the url, so you can easily share or bookmark them! No more endless scrolling down lists to find your favourite nfts, just bookmark your favourite selection to find them instantly later!

No matter what combination you look for, you can find them on OASIS!
Not every collection has the filters available. In order to enable them, we need to index the collection. If the collection is fully minted, we'll add the indexed data, which in turn will enable the option. Most of the collections that are fully minted have the functionality available right now!
Navigation
Last but not least, we have improved the browsing experience in the overviews. Clicking on an item will take you directy to the detail page. Hitting the back button on your browser will take you back to the same position on the overview page, with all the settings still applied, instantly. This will give you a much faster browsing experience!
We also fixed a good number of small bugs and made small improvements, one of them fixing the layout issues the new LNS NFTs (smartBCHs new domains, similar to ENS on ethereum)
As always, with new features, new bugs may be introduced. We have tested extensively to make sure everything works correctly. In the event we missed any breaking bugs, we have made the previous version available on https://old.oasis.cash/. We hope you won't need it, but it's there just in case.

Oasis Update - Performance and History
**Dear friends of OASIS,**
Today marks an important mileston for OASIS as we have just released a major update! This update brings the long awaited performance improvements and a bunch of new features! Read on to find out what has been changed. If you can't wait, go to https://oasis.cash to check it out now!
**A new look**
We have revised the homepage to make it easier for you to get right into the action!
**Performance**
As most of you must have noticed, the performance of OASIS degraded quite a bit over the last month. The marketplace has grown quickly with many new collections like Apes, Reapers and many others. With this growth the performance also took a hit. In this update, we have revised the way OASIS loads in all the collections, orders and asset information. While previously OASIS would load in everything in one go, we have now revised this to allow for better scaling. From now on, data is only loaded when needed. This results in the entire platform becoming much faster!
Larger collections like Apes (1400 auctions), Cats (750 auctions), Reapers (900 auctions) and Thrones (800 auctions) will still take some time to load in, but the overal experience will be a lot better, faster and more stable.
Direct links to token detail pages no longer require the entire collections to be loaded in - which results in significant faster load times here.
We want to thank everyone for sticking with us the last few weeks, we realise the slow experience has been frustrating at times. We worked really hard to give you the best possible experience, while remaining decentralized and not relying on centralised APIs. Just you, OASIS frontend and the node.
Performance is not the only thing that has been improved. We have also added many new features around historic events:
**Latest Events - Listings, Bids and Sales**
On both the homepage and collection pages you will find new lists that show you what auctions have been recently listed, latest bids and latest sales. Never miss a good deal again!
**Live notifications**
Just like the OASIS live auction channel on telegram (https://t.me/oasis_live_auctions), the website will now show live notifications whenever a new auction is listed, bid placed or when a sale takes place. It will allow you to track the activity on the entire market, while browsing it! Note that all lists, overviews etc are updated when new events come in, no need to hit that F5 button!
The notification system will be extended in the future, allowing the user to tweak what kind of notification he or she wants to see. In this first update you will simply see all of the notifications. Don't like them? You can easily switch them off in the wallet side-panel.
**Order and bid history**
All tokens will now show an overview of its sale history (if there is any). You will be able to see all previous auctions, sale prices and bids placed. No more wondering "what did this NFT sell for previously?".
**Wallet overview**
We moved much of the information that was only available in the wallet sidepanel to a brand new wallet page. Here you can now browse your assets and see all relevant history and auction information.
You will find several tabs here:
***My Assets***
Overview of all your assets. Clicking an asset will take you to the overview showing all tokens you own in detail, for that specific collection. This page will now also remember your page size settings.
***My active auctions***
Overview of all your running auctions.
***Won / Sold auctions***
Overview of all the unclaimed auctions that you have either won or sold.
***Expired auctions***
Overview of all your expired, unsold auctions.
***My top bids***
Overview of all auctions that you currently have a top bid on.
***Outbids***
Overview of all auctions you placed a bid on, but got overbid by someone else. Auctions that are still running will allow you to easily place a new bid by pressing the 'new bid' button.
***Auctions Won / Auctions Sold***
Overview of all the auctions you have won or sold in the past.
Along with these new features there have been many smaller bug fixes. We will continue to keep engaged with the community to keep improving OASIS. With the performance issues out of the way, we also prelisted all the collections that have placed tokens on auction so far.

OASIS Update - Opening up!
Dear readers,
It comes with great joy to announce that OASIS just received a big update. Just in time before the holidays, you can now trade all NFT collections on OASIS! Together with listing we also added some new features to make exploring the collections easier and more fun. https://oasis.cash/
To start off we have already listed a few LAW Punks and Poolside Puffers!

Listing NFTs
Any collection that can be added to your OASIS wallet can now be listed for auctions! We have added a convenient overview page to browse between the different collections. Note that you do not need permission to list new collections. Simply add them to your wallet on oasis.cash and press the sell button from on one of the tokens you own! https://oasis.cash/
You can quickly jump to different collections with the collection switcher which you'll find on top of the page.
Don't see your collection? First make sure it's added to your wallet. You can do this by opening the wallet sidebar and click the "Add Contract" button in your "My Assets" pane. After adding the contract, navigate to a detail page for one of the tokens you own and press the sell button. Once a collection has one or more open auctions you'll find the collection in the "Collection overview".
Sorting and Filtering
Sorting and filtering has now been added. You'll be able to sort on price and auction end time. You can now also filter to only show specific auction types (Fixed, English, Dutch). This significantly improves the browsing experience as it helps you find the auction you are looking for!
Future
Now that we have concluded this first big update, we will not stop working on improving OASIS. Many new features are planned and actively being worked on. Some of the things we are working on that you can expect in the near future (in random order):
**Attribute Filtering** - Depending on the collection, you will be able to filter on token attributes. For instance, you'll be able to show all items on auction with specific traits (ie. "Show me all cats with green background and a crown").
**Order History** - Browse all your placed bids, buys and auction history. Get notified when you get outbid on an auction. View auction history for all tokens.
**Improved wallet** - Make it easier to browse your own collections. Explore tokens from an entire collection. Make it easier and faster to list multiple tokens at once.
**Telegram bot** - Dedicated telegram channel which will receive updates when new tokens are listen, sold or receive bids
**Language switcher** - We recognize the importance of adding translations for non-english speaking communities. We want OASIS to be accesible for all!

Resuming OASIS and listing NFTs
Dear readers,
Pleased to announce that the patch update and burning of the duplicate Cats have been completed. All the unsold duplicate Cats have been burned are sent to cat heaven address: 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD
The affected cats that had already been sold were offered a buyback service that has now ended, those buyers have now also received their refund. A total of 552 cats have been burned (5.52%). The time has come to continue where we left off.
Resuming OASIS
We will resume OASIS by completing the remaining launching week scheduled auctioning for 2 days starting **Wednesday, November 24th 12:00 UTC**. The auctions are expected to last until Friday, November 26th 12:00 UTC (depending on overtime at the end of the rounds) to complete the planned 7 days of auctioning.
Wednesday and Thursday will be the last 2 CashCats NFTs auctions available, 350 cats per day in English auction style. Auctions will start from 0.05 BCH and last 24 hours each.
Listing NFTs
We are also pleased to announce that in the meantime we have made significant progress in the development of user listings. The plan is to enable users listings Friday, right after the last auction has ended. Listing can happen in 3 auction variant's (Dutch, English, Fixed). Users will be able to select the starting price, and duration of their listing simple and easily. For the time being, CashCats NFTs collection will be the only collection available for listing, we want to monitor this closely before we add any other collections.
Cats4Cats
After the ending of Friday's auction we will also start enabling the Cats4Cats tool again, restocked with 2500 random CashCats NFTs where users can mint a NFT for the price of 10,000 $CATS. This tool will remain open until sold out and will launch simultaneously with the users listings.
New Collections
It is also worth noting that we have been in talk with a variety of artists who are getting their collections ready to be listed on OASIS as a whitelisted verified collection. The launch date of these new collections is still not certain, but it won't be in the far future. First, it is important for us that we make sure the marketplace is fully functioning like it should, and also give chance to the CashCats NFTs buyers to trade their NFTs before new collections show up on the platform. A variety of existing smartBCH NFT collections will also be whitelisted as verified collections on OASIS. More news on this in a follow-up article.

Patch update CashCats NFTs
Dear readers,
As most of you may have been informed, there has been a bug in the generating of the CashCats NFTs series. So what happened?
In the code that generated the cats we have identified a small bug that caused generation of duplicate cats. In hindsight, the error was just one line of code (which should have ensured the uniqueness).
However, the set has now been generated, we have to look at the solution. We want to make sure the cat you bought still has the same look. So we propose the following solution to make all the cats unique again.
The impact:
446 cats that exist 2x = (892 affected cats)
84 cats that exist 3x = (252 affected cats)
16 cats that exist 4x = (64 affected cats)
3 cats that exist 5x = (15 affected cats)
The Solution:
We will make all cats unique again by:
- Burn all affected cats that are undistributed as of 11-11-2021 (undistributed: 3741 cats). A total of 358 cats will be burned.
- All burned cats will be sent to cat heaven address: 0x000000000000000000000000000000000000dEaD
- After burning, all remaining duplicates (except for the one with the lowest ID) will receive a new unique background (random out of 5 available). A total of 375 cats will get the new backgrounds.
- All cats that exist in a duplicate set where some cats get new backgrounds, but themselves are unchanged - will get a bonus trait 'OG' The visuals will not be changed. Cats that do get new backgrounds will not get this bonus trait.
- The generation script has been appended with this fix. It is still verifiable using the original seed.
- All cats are now unique!
Offer Buy Back service for those affected:
If you have bought a CashCats NFT that has been affected by this bug, we will offer you a limited time buy back service. Those who have bought a cat and who now are not satisfied because of the changed background, or for any other reason, will be refunded in full. Affected cats include: Cats which now have a new special background, Cats that gained the additional attribute "OG".
- If you got your cat from the Cats4Cats tool, we will offer you a refund of 10,000 $CATS
- If you bought your cat from the running auctions, we will refund you the price you paid for it from the auctions.
If you are eligible for refund and would like to use this service, you can do so by joining our Telegram group and DM one of the admins there: https://t.me/OasisCash
This service will last till November 21st, after November 21st we will check which cats have been refunded and complete the transactions to those owners addresses.

Launching Schedule OASIS: Week 1
The countdown to OASIS has begun, we are getting ready to go live!
Friday, November 5th 2021 12:00 UTC is the date to save in your calendar. The clock is ticking, and we are preparing for launch! To celebrate our launch, we have a brand new CashCats NFT collection, counting 10,000 randomly generated CashCats with original artwork. The CashCats NFTs will trade for the first 2 weeks as an exclusive collection on OASIS.
Our opening week will be divided in 7 days of 24h English auctions. English auctions will start with a starting price, last 24h, and be sold to the highest bidder per NFT. Along that, we are launching a Cats4Cats tool which allows cats fanatics to buy random CashCats NFT's instantly using $CATS (SEP20) tokens as payment!
**OASIS x CashCats NFTs Distribution**
10,000 CashCats NFTs will distribute as follows:
CashCats #0 - #11 will be sent to the developers (12 total)
CashCats #1000 - #1095 will be sent to the developers (96 total)

NFTs in the 7 day auctions series that end their auction without a buyer will be put back in the Cats4Cats tool after the ending of the opening week. The Cats4Cats tool will also be restocked with NFTs from the reserve, and will remain active until all NFTs have been sold out. Although we will also use some NFTs out of the reserve for giveaways and promotion on social media, the majority of the reserve will be put back in the Cats4Cats tool.

It is our pleasure to introduce our new decentralized NFT Marketplace on SmartBCH: OASIS. A true DApp that connects directly to the OASIS DEx smart contract on the SmartBCH blockchain and does not require a centralized layer to operate. In the last month we have been working hard to deliver a platform for your NFTs, a central hub for everything NFT on SmartBCH. Explore, buy, sell, mint NFTs - we want to do it all!
About
Our team consists of 3 members, we are all Bitcoin Cash enthusiasts who believe that SmartBCH can be the perfect match for a blossoming NFT market for multiple reasons. In the current NFT markets, that is growing in an unprecedented rate, there have been some difficulties due to high gas fees and front-running of users on auctions at other chains. For example, there are many games based on NFTs and these issues effectively break them.
SmartBCH can provide users a seamless experience in trading NFTs because of its low fees and transactions re-ordering in blocks mechanism (front-running protection). We are convinced that Bitcoin Cash can make a great name for itself in the NFT markets and capture a great market share, so we are very excited to present our new platform that was developed from scratch exclusively for SmartBCH.

During the time that we build OASIS we stuck to a couple of core principles we think are important for a NFT Marketplace and always weighed our decision making to them: Frictionless, simple, functioning, and permissionless.
OASIS is built with a future-proof concept in mind, that anyone, anywhere, anytime can always log in and start buying, selling, sending, and receiving any NFT, with anyone, permissionless, and for the price they are comfortable with.
We tried to keep the design as simple as possible, so in the future when NFT tokens could become a common tool for people, using OASIS will be as easy as connecting your wallet to the DApp and you're ready to go!
Users will also be able to explore all the NFTs on SmartBCH, view them, and add them to their built-in wallet simply by pasting the NFT contract address in the search bar, making OASIS a fully functional NFT explorer as well as a marketplace.
Functions
Currently the functions of OASIS can be categorized in the following: Marketplace, explorer, and a wallet.
**Marketplace**
The Marketplace is where users can trade their digital assets with other users. Trades can take place in 3 types of auctions (Dutch, English, and Fixed). Every auction has a start and end time, which is a block number. OASIS will make an educated guess of the time and date a block number is met in the future (Note that all times displayed can slightly deviate, depending on how frequent blocks are validated on SmartBCH).
1. Dutch Auction:
A Dutch auction has both a start and end price. The auction starts at the start time with the start price and as time passes the price slowly decreases towards the end price reaching it at end time. Once a user buys the asset during the auction, the auction ends, and the buyer will be able to claim the asset instantly.
2. English Auction
An English has a single start price. During the auction users can place a bid for the asset, when the auction reaches its end time the highest bidder will be able to claim the asset.
3. Fixed price
During the auction users can buy an asset for a fixed price. Once a user buys the asset during the auction, the auction ends, and the buyer will be able to claim the asset instantly
**Explorer**
Built-in search functionality will make it easy for users to find the specific tokens they are looking for. Any compatible ERC721 token can be viewed on OASIS by visiting its token link. This consists of a URL with both the contract address and Token ID. Other apps can easily link to this page to provide the user with token information. The token page will display all information. Such as image, token ID, token URI, and metadata if it can be retrieved. It will also show attributes if found in the metadata.
**Wallet**
The built-in wallet allows users to have a personalized overview of the assets they manage. Verified collections will display automatically, unverified collections can be added in easily by clicking a button that says: "add token" (much like the traditional MetaMask wallet). If all goes well, the contract is detected and any assets a user owns will be visible in their wallet. OASIS saves the contract in the users’ browser storage, so it will be there when they come back on another time. The wallet will also allow sending and receive assets between users. Users can list assets they own for auction on the marketplace. Assets that users buy in the marketplace will display automatically in their wallet. Users will also be able to view their running bids on auctions, as well as auctions they won under "claimable assets".
**Launching OASIS x CashCats NFTs series**
For the launch of OASIS, we have prepared an opening auction in collaboration with CashCats. Something we noticed in other crypto communities is that there are a lot of different sub-communities within them. Those sub-communities are often easily distinguishable by the NFT avatars the community members carry on their online profiles.
After the launch of SmartBCH we noticed that there aren't many options available for community members to put on a NFT Avatar that is easily recognizable as BCH-native. CashCats is one of the first BCH native DeFi communities with a distinguishable and unique flavour, something the team and many others cherish and, in our opinion, deserves a spotlight.
That's why we have created a beautiful set of 10,000 unique CashCats NFT's, who have been randomly generated so no 2 CashCats are the same. As much as we like to give more details about the NFT series, the collection will remain a surprise reserved for launch. Without giving away too many details: CashCats will be auctioned in series of 24 hour auctions in the first week of the launch. They will have multiple attributes and different varieties. Lots of colours, lots of taste. We made sure that there is a CashCats NFT out there appealing to anyone, and we made sure there are enough CashCats for everyone to choose from.
In the first 1-2 weeks, CashCats will be the only collection available on OASIS. We want to ensure that the OASIS experience is smooth, and everything is working perfectly, before we open the doors to new collections.
Roadmap
· LAUNCH: (first 1-2 weeks)
OASIS will launch in partnership with CashCat NFTs. We will host multiple CashCats auctions in different auction varieties, also as a way to introduce the users with the 3 different types of auctions OASIS offers.
· SELL: (3-4 weeks)
Once we conclude the CashCats sale, we will open the marketplace up for anyone to trade their NFTs on OASIS. We will provide options to sell any NFT you own, in the way that suits you best (English, direct sale for a fixed price, or the more exciting Dutch Auction).
· EXPLORE:
OASIS will serve as an explorer for NFTs from day one. Finding the NFT you're looking for as easy as 1, 2, 3.

• ORDER HISTORY:
We will provide full order history that will show all your sales, purchases and auction bids.
• WALLET:
We want to expand wallet functionality to provide a perfect experience when managing your entire NFT collection.
• PARTNER:
Introduce a partnership program where projects can list their assets. OASIS will put them in a spotlight, and we'll offer customization specifically for your project. Got advanced and complex token attributes and meta data? We'll make sure your NFT will look exactly like you want to.
· MINT:
Introduce minting tools to make it easy for users to create new NFTs. No technical skills required (our aim is still to be the most user friendly NFT Marketplace).
· BROWSE:
Provide all the features users need to make exploring and finding your favourite NFT. Project specific filters, advanced search options and other customizations. We have a lot of plans here!
We will always listen closely to the community in deciding what features we will deliver first, ensuring the most important functionality will come to you first. This may alter our roadmap above.
