Four Ways to Keep Your Immunity Strong When you’re healthy, it’s easy to take your immune system for granted. It works in the background, keeping you protected from an array of illnesses, infections, and pathogens without you having to give it a single thought. It’s when you get sick that you start considering all the could’ve-s and should’ve-s about your immunity that you’d ignored. After all, the immune system is complex, and boosting your immunity is complicated, too, so it’s easier not to do anything about it, right? Not quite. You don’t have to change your lifestyle from the core to give your immune system some much-needed support. You just have to pay attention to a few simple things. Eat healthy foods Eating healthy foods is the basis of good health — there’s no going around it. Your **diet impacts your immunity** and your everyday life more than you know. Not only can a good choice of nutrition prevent heart disease, cancer, and diabetes, among other things, but it can also improve your quality of life, making you happier and livelier. https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/322268 So, make sure that you eat your veggies and throw in a portion of some healthy fats and proteins. You don’t have to change your eating habits from the core and completely disregard your every craving (it will only make your new diet unsustainable). However, you have to include varied foods and get enough macro and **micronutrients** to boost your immunity. https://www.getsmarter.com/blog/market-trends/what-are-macronutrients-and-micronutrients/ Stay fit Staying fit isn’t about successfully squeezing into your favorite pair of jeans or getting more likes on your Instagram posts. It’s about keeping your body strong and resilient regardless of the number on the scales. Whether you like it or not, you need to commit to some moderate exercise at least a few times a week to ensure a stronger immunity. **Exercising can reduce inflammations**, strengthen your natural antibodies, flush out bacteria, and even improve immune cell regeneration. https://medlineplus.gov/ency/article/007165.htm If you’re prone to soreness even after some light exercise, you can benefit from **post-workout recovery supplements**. After all, nothing can prevent you from staying fit quite like sore muscles and exercise-related injuries. https://eliteedgesupplements.com/product/post-workout-recovery-rainbow-sherbert/ Get your rest A good night’s sleep is critical for keeping your immune system up and running. When you’re sleep-deprived, your immunity takes a hit, making you more likely to get sick and develop serious illnesses, including cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. You’re even more likely to catch a virus. On the other hand, when you’re well-rested, your **immune system gets all the resources it needs** to function normally. https://www.sleepfoundation.org/physical-health/how-sleep-affects-immunity Try to develop good sleep hygiene and stick to a bedtime routine that suits your lifestyle best. Watch your stress levels Finally, for a strong immune system, you’ll need to watch your stress levels. Mental and physical health are more intertwined than you may think, and a change in one will almost always lead to a change in the other. If you’re constantly stressed and anxious, your body releases stress hormones (corticosteroids) that suppress your immune system and lower the number of white blood cells, which are critical for fighting infection and diseases. Try meditating, spending more time in nature, or jogging to alleviate stress and boost your immunity. Final thoughts When it comes to your health, it’s always better to be proactive than reactive. If you start building up your immune system before it becomes compromised, you’ll lead a healthier, happier life. So, follow these four steps, and give your immunity the support it needs.

Reinventing Your Post-Workout Routine A good fitness routine doesn’t simply consist of a few hours at a gym three times a week. If you want to maximize your effectiveness, expedite fat loss, and increase muscle gain, it’s not just what you do during your training that matters — but what you do after it, as well. Your post-workout routine has an immense impact on how quickly you recover and how fast you progress. So, take a look at a few things you’ll need to do after a workout to take your training to the next level. Hydrate! Hydration is vital for your post-workout routine, especially if you’ve broken a sweat. During an intense exercise, your body loses water, making it that much more difficult for you to recover and continue your fitness journey. If you’re dehydrated, you’re at a **higher risk of developing delayed onset muscle soreness** (DOMS). https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1421497/ So, make sure that you drink up! Stay away from sugary and caffeinated drinks since they can dehydrate you, and go for plain water or low-sugar sports drinks. Take a moment to cool yourself down! If you’ve been doing a lot of cardio, make sure that you take a moment to cool down slowly. You’ll want to gently reduce your heart rate to normal without feeling like you’re about to pass out. In most cases, the blood starts pooling in your legs during a more strenuous workout, making you feel lightheaded. A few minutes of stretching can help solve this problem. Additionally, since your muscles will still be warm, they’ll be more flexible, making post-workout the best time to do some light stretches. Stretching can **improve your range of motion**, enhance your performance, and decrease your chance of injury, so don’t neglect it. https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/fitness/in-depth/stretching/art-20047931 Help your muscles repair themselves! While stretching and drinking plenty of water can help prevent DOMS, the most effective way to ensure quick muscle recovery is by taking the right nutrients. Unfortunately, this can be easier said than done right after your workout — who has the energy and patience to cook a healthy meal after being on the treadmill for an hour? So, it’s in your best interest to take **post-workout supplements** rich in branched-chain amino acids(BCAA), creatine, and beta-alanine. These supplements can promote muscle growth, improve recovery, and even improve your body’s absorption of nutrients. https://eliteedgesupplements.com/product/post-workout-recovery-sour-gummy-bear/ Pump up your protein intake! High-quality proteins are critical for muscle recovery as they repair and maintain muscle tissue. A protein-rich diet will ensure that your muscles are well-nourished without requiring you to increase your calorie intake. You’ll find high-quality protein in: Milk Fish Lean meats Nuts and seeds Eggs Although protein bars can undoubtedly increase your protein intake, keep in mind that they’re often high in sugar, making them less than ideal for your overall well-being. Final thoughts A well-thought-out post-workout routine will help you prevent muscle soreness and injury and allow you to improve performance faster. So, hydrate, stretch, get the right supplements, and boost your protein intake — it will work wonders for your fitness levels.

How US Taxpayers Living Abroad Need To Take Care of Their Taxes Many US citizens who live abroad like to believe that taxes are something they don’t need to think about anymore. Sadly, we have bad news for people living in another country — you will still have to file for US federal tax returns. When it comes to income and taxation, the United States is one of the more unique countries. The United States has a residence-based taxation system. This means that all residents both living in the country and abroad are obligated to pay their taxes. How much people living abroad have to pay for their taxes All foreign income is the same for the **US tax system** as the one earned inside. The same marginal rates are used for taxing this income. In other words, all green card holders or citizens living abroad have to file for US federal tax returns. https://www.rpi.edu/dept/advising/free_enterprise/us_government/taxation.htm#:~:text=The%20U.S.%20tax%20system%20is,own%20authority%20to%20charge%20taxes.&text=Each%20state%20has%20its%20own,separate%20from%20the%20other%20states. Naturally, not all people have to do this, but if your total income has exceeded a certain number, you will be obligated to file for tax returns: If you’re single and your income was at least: $12,400 For joint filing of married citizens: $24,800 For married people filing separately: $5 For self-employed people: $400 For household heads: $18,650 It doesn’t matter if you are abroad throughout the whole year and never set foot on US soil; the IRS will want you to file your taxes. How to avoid double taxation One of the most significant issues many people living abroad have is being taxed double for their income. In other words, both the US and their current country of residence could ask for taxes. This issue is especially present for American citizens who live in another country full-time and qualify to become residents in those countries. In order to avoid this, the US tax code has added the **FEIE** or “foreign earned income exclusion,” which allows people living abroad to exclude up to $108,700 of their abroad income from their taxing obligations. The foreign tax credit is another provision that can prevent double taxation. https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/foreign-earned-income-exclusion With it, they can expand the FEIE exclusion limit if they have paid taxes to a foreign government. However, not all occupations have the right to this. Other requirements for taxpayers abroad When filing US federal tax returns, you will have to report additional information apart from income. All taxpayers abroad need to disclose all of their accounts in the foreign country as well as the assets that have a particular value. In some cases, retirement contributions without accounts could be taxable as well. So, when you are filing your taxes while abroad, make sure to check all the requirements that must be in your file. It could take time to get everything down, but it’s essential to do this and prevent any issues with your taxes. Conclusion These are the essentials you need to know about filing your taxes as a US taxpayer living in a foreign country. If you have more questions, make sure to **talk to the US government** and clear out any misunderstandings. https://www.usa.gov/help-with-taxes

5 Tips for Expanding Your Business Internationally as a Savvy Entrepreneur The whole international business market is more connected than ever. Many opportunities have opened up in the past couple of decades, along with technologies that enable businesses to work in different markets internationally. Ambitious entrepreneurs are looking to exploit these opportunities and grow businesses with an international presence. But this doesn’t mean selling some of your products on another market. It means expanding your whole organization into foreign markets. This includes learning about new customers, complying with different laws and regulations, and marketing in the most appealing way for that market. With this approach come other challenges and risks. That’s why you need to pay attention to these things. 1. Establish a strong domestic presence before expanding! Before you start expanding abroad, it’s vital to ensure that things at home are stable. Your home business needs to be able to bring in the necessary profits while you are investing in another market. After all, it could take time before your international investments start to make profits. Having an already established business can be a great advantage because you will have additional funds to support new investments. However, this could also be your downfall. When you are starting something new and having issues with your primary market, you might be forced to choose between the two. In other words, your domestic presence needs to be stable and solid. You can even “borrow” other resources from the main business, like experts who can help you set up your presence internationally. 2. Do thorough market research! Just because you’ve succeeded in one market doesn’t mean that you can use the same formula to make it elsewhere. When going international, you need to do **thorough market research** and learn the specifics of your new “playing field.” https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/market-research-buyers-journey-guide With accurate knowledge about the market, you can quickly pinpoint your business opportunities, how to approach things, who your competition is, who your customers are, and so on. International businesses don’t have a single formula that works everywhere. They adjust their approaches based on different markets. Naturally, you might have your core offers that set your brand apart, but this doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t look to adjust to the market. 3. Take local culture into consideration! Some people see this as part of market research, but we feel that this is important on its own. When starting, your business culture is a critical factor. Most people don’t think of this ever because they usually do business in their home country where everyone shares the same culture. Having the same values, background, language, customs, and norms makes things a lot easier. First of all, you understand that most of your customers share these things as well. At the same time, it makes it easier for you to work with business partners and make deals. But with an international market, you might not understand the rules, relationships, and business practices. It’s essential to learn these things to find good employees, establish partnerships, and reach your customers. 4. Business process automation can make things easier! Business process automation tools don’t only remove the need for human labor. It leads to increased production and accurate allocation of your business resources. In other words, when entering a new market, you will need all of the resources you can get. Business process automation can help you eliminate time-consuming, repetitive, and intense tasks your employees would have to do. **Most occupations could benefit** from automation and save a lot of time with this technology. https://www.mckinsey.com/business-functions/mckinsey-digital/our-insights/four-fundamentals-of-workplace-automation For example, every new company needs to onboard new employees. There are a variety of automation tools that can help you do this. Yes, you will have to make an initial investment, but these tools have a great ROI. 5. Establish your international strategy and business plan We mentioned before that all markets have their own economic, legal, cultural, and governmental specifics. In other words, you will have to adopt new strategies and business plans for those markets and localize them. Use your market research to do this successfully. With the right plan set in place, you will be able to integrate the business within the new market. On top of that, you will also keep your brand voice and objectives. You should outline detailed **long-term and short-term goals** of your business and the strategy you will use to get there. https://smallbusiness.chron.com/examples-long--short-term-goals-business-4551.html Use the metrics from market research and set realistic metrics that will tell you how successful you are towards achieving your goals. Conclusion Consider these five essential tips when looking to expand internationally. Of course, these aren’t the only things you should do, but they can help you make this transition a success. Think about using business process automation in your home market as well.

Tulip Mania, Not Quite... I've been involved in some form or another in the cryptocurrency world since 2016. You know, my very first client ever offered to pay me in bitcoin. I had just finished my Bachelor's degree in finance and called up a friend that had gotten a job as a broker. He and his "mentor" laughed when I told them about my first client offering me bitcoin as payment. Of course, back then, I was just starting up my business and couldn't accept bitcoin as I needed US dollars to pay rent and pay my bills. I couldn't just let the money sit around for fun. My client was a bit nutty anyway so I just brushed it off... He paid me in US dollars and to this day, I still regret that one decision. In 2016, I earned $4,646.18 usd. In 2016, 1 BTC was worth less than $1,000. I would have received about 4.5 BTC in 2016 alone. Today, that would be worth $193,855 roughly. Ouch! We won't even talk about 2017 as that's when BTC really took off into a wild ride. I honestly still did not understand what the point of crypto was until the past year. I started to research the infrastructure and actually sat down and read whitepapers. I made my first couple of transactions to an online job posting website this month and was shocked by the ease of the payment. I scanned a QR code and poof, enter the amount and hit send. The ease between people and countries to transact truly blew my mind! I now hold a bit of crypto as I truly do believe in what someone or someones created. I also have two clients that pay me in cryptocurrency. The decentralized part, I hope stays truly decentralized forever. The past year has shown me how easy it is for a government to step in and control anything and everything. More decentralized governance is needed and the cryptocurrency world has created a roadmap that can be used across other sectors as well. I have friends that tell me BTC is like tulips. I laugh... perhaps it is, though I don't think it's quite there yet at all. Too many around me are still the 2016 me. What they don't understand is that BTC is much more than a price point. It's a system with an incredible structure. It's quite exciting to me that the world is changing and I'm now able to see that from a zoomed-out view. I think that I will be excited to see where it leads us. *Of course, there are still things I don't quite understand. For example, it's easy to "lose" money by sending the wrong cryptocurrency to a wallet that only accepts a few coins and does not have the capacity to swap between X and Y coins. It's also easy to send to the wrong address and scams are all over the web. Once it's sent, it's lost forever. That type of non-protection scares me a bit but it just leads me to say, make sure to double-check where you're paying before sending!

4 Fantastic Do’s Of Taking Pre-Workout Supplements So you want to be big, strong, and vascular — supplements are the way to go. Here are four things you should do if you are taking pre-workout supplements! Say you’ve been lifting weights for a while. You love the church of iron, you love the clanking of the plates and the grunting coming off of the deadlift aisle — but the thing you despise most is that the massive muscles you have at the gym aren’t as impressive when you look at them at home. I’d hate to break it to you, but it’s partly due to lighting, and the other part is due to the pump. The pump is when your muscles are full of blood after a workout, making them appear huge. To get a good pump and a good workout, people take supplements, **most notably no reactors and pre-workouts**, so here are four great things you should do if you want to take pre-workout. https://jissn.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12970-016-0138-7 Read the ingredients! Pre-workouts and no-reactors differ brand-to-brand, and their composition is often quite different. While the many chemicals found in pre-workouts might sound imposing, make sure to read them anyway. Google and DuckDuckGo are free websites, so you can check all of them out and **find out just what they can do for you** and your body. https://jissn.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12970-018-0247-6 Eat before you take it. If you work out regularly, you’ll need energy before you go to the gym. No supplement is a substitute for a proper diet, and neither is pre-workout. Never take pre-workout on an empty stomach, as that might cause damage to both your CNS and the rest of your body. An alternative is to take your pre-workout supplementation with your pre-workout meal. If you go with something tasty such as the **Elite Edge Black Cherry**, you can actually minimize the possibility of any negative side effects while maximizing the energy that you receive before you head on over to the iron cage. https://eliteedgesupplements.com/product/pre-workout-black-cherry/ Monitor your blood pressure! One of the most significant downsides of pre-workout supplementation is that, in some cases, it can make your blood pressure skyrocket. Combine that with some anaerobic or aerobic exercise — **your blood pressure can cause moon facies**, which can be bad for your health. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4914008/ Different people react differently to different supplements, so make sure to monitor your blood pressure and keep everything in check if you’re using something that might raise it further. Take the recommended amount! Now, there isn’t going to be an exact one-size-fits-all amount of pre-workout supplementation. Just like any supplement, you’ll likely have to calculate it by body weight. Now, while you might be a master mathematician, dosing is crucial, and you may want to discuss this with your Elite Edge Gym coach or your family physician to discuss your recommended amount. In Conclusion Remember, while supplements are an excellent way of helping you get and stay in shape, they’re never a substitute for a good diet, only a supplement. With that being said, there are all kinds of supplements Elite Edge Labs offers that you should explore and consider taking — pre-workout being one of them!

Reach Your Goals Faster With a Customized Budget Plan To get a hold of your finances, you need to create an effective, customized budget plan that gives you precise insight into where your money comes from and where it goes. While budgeting often sounds like a restrictive financial strategy that prevents you from enjoying some of your favorite activities, that’s not necessarily the case. Instead, a sound financial plan can often help you do just the opposite — save up enough money to afford to treat yourself to nice things more frequently. So, if you’re ready to achieve greater financial stability, let’s take a look at how you can create a well-thought-out budget that suits your needs and helps you achieve your personal and business goals. Set Short-Term and Long-Term Financial Goals Before you even start thinking about a budget, you’ll need to identify your financial priorities and set **short- and long-term financial goals**. https://www.investopedia.com/articles/personal-finance/100516/setting-financial-goals/ As a general rule of thumb, your short-term goals need to be achievable within the following year. So, keep them realistic. Personal financial short-term goals can be anything from saving up for a summer vacation to buying a new smartphone or getting a better mattress. Business short-term goals can go from upgrading PCs in the office or switching to ergonomic office chairs to raising salaries by the end of the year. Long-term goals are those that usually take years to achieve, such as paying off student debt, investing in a new home, or expanding your business to new markets. Keep in mind that your financial goals might change as time goes. However, it’s still essential to set them. They’ll give you something to aim for and make it easier to create a realistic budget that you can stick to. Take Note of the Amount of Money You Have Coming in With your financial priorities in mind, you can start doing the budgeting math. The first step is identifying your net income or revenue. Unfortunately, though, this can be easier said than done for some. One of the main mistakes many people make when trying to identify how much money they have coming in is taking into account their whole salary (or revenue). However, your entire income isn’t equal to your total budget. So you need to subtract deductions like taxes, Social Security, 401k. To avoid overestimating your net income and making budgeting mistakes, you’d **benefit from working with an accounting firm**. It will help you understand exactly how much “spending money” you have. https://blog.qe.tax/6-benefits-of-working-with-an-accounting-firm-a6d2bf022fcb Subtract Main Monthly Expenses The next step in creating your customized budget is subtracting main monthly expenses. That can include: Credit card debt; Utilities; Groceries; Rent; Insurance; Payroll; Business supplies, and more. Only once you’ve subtracted these expenses will you have a clear insight into how much money you have to set aside for your short- and long-term financial goals. If you’re trying to create a business budget, you must have accurate data on your main monthly and annual expenses. Accounting services can help you identify all fixed expenses and ensure that you’re never late on your payments. Examine Your Variable Expenses As their name would suggest, variable expenses tend to change frequently, but it’s still important to take note of them. Personal variable expenses often include things like entertainment, eating out, buying gifts, traveling to your hometown. Business variable expenses can consist of marketing costs, employee training/onboarding, office supplies, and the like. Suppose you want to supercharge your savings and create a personal or business budget that works for you. In that case, you’ll need the complete picture of all the money coming in and out, so considering both fixed and variable expenses is a must. Come up With a Budgeting Plan Now, it’s finally time to start developing a comprehensive budgeting plan. With all fixed and variable expenses and net income in mind, you’ll have a clear idea of how much money you’ll have/need for a sustainable budget. If you’re lucky, you should have an income that’s higher than your expenses. In that case, it would be a good idea to adopt the **50–20–30 approach**. Use 50% of your after-tax income to pay for the main expenses — mortgage, insurance, utilities, etc. Use 20% to supercharge your savings or make investments, and use 30% for non-essential expenses like entertainment or travel. https://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/022916/what-502030-budget-rule.asp If your expenses are bigger than your income, you’ll need to adjust your spending habits. Tweak Your Spending Habits Always make sure that you have enough money to cover your main fixed expenses. Otherwise, your financial situation will be less than enviable, and it will be more challenging to stay on top of your budget. If you need to tweak your spending habits and make financial adjustments, try to cut costs on variable expenses like your gym membership or Netflix subscription. Every little bit can help. If it’s still not enough to cut variable expenses, see what you can do to adjust fixed ones. Talk with your bank about better credit card terms and examine carefully whether an expense is a “need” or a “want.” Final Thoughts Creating a personal or business budget takes some trial and error. You’ll need to be dedicated and focused on your goals, which often means making some sacrifices. If you’re finding it challenging to create your own budget, you can always hire accounting services to help set you on a path to success.

Can You Write for a Living? I remember as a child writing stories and getting lost in books. To this day, the one thing that takes me back to my childhood is a good fiction book or pouring out my imagination on a piece of paper. As we get older, perhaps we lose pieces of our childhood and get sucked into our jobs... But what if I told you that my childhood continues to live with me as part of my job? Although in a different form, there are many things that remain the same... follow me if you're looking to make a living out of writing! I'll give you as many tips as possible and hopefully more life insights to set you free! A feeling of adrenaline fills me with each new client... why? Probably because it's a new industry that I've never worked in! I get to browse through the creativeness of others, do research, learn new things, meet new people around the world and then create the perfect strategy for my clients and then implement it! My writing is mostly filled with short/long captions on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn but every now and again, I get to write blog posts for my clients too! I modernized my love of writing into a career of social media management and online branding for a wide variety of industries. From healthcare to technology, cryptocurrencies, NFT's to online retail stores, I am constantly piecing together words to create emotion for a new target audience and create a community. A typical blog writer that writes well can, at the minimum, charge 10 cents per word. A social media manager, as this entails much more than just writing, can charge $1000+ for one client on two social media platforms. If you're great at managing your time, being disciplined, and staying organized, you can juggle 10 clients at once with very little work outsourced. A 5-digit monthly income is not hard to come by IF you LOVE what you do and are GREAT at it. On top of juggling your clients, you need to also continue to grow your small business and have incoming work as some clients do not last beyond a specific amount of time. Just as very few businesses succeed in the long run, you'll run into many short to medium-term type projects so keep this in mind. Let me know if you have any specific questions about getting into this type of work in the comments section below. I hope to write about all sorts of subjects here and am excited for you to join me here! Now I will have to look for those photos of me surrounded by sticky notes with my stories written on them... but someday I'll share them here!

The Main Differences Between Bookkeeping & Accounting There’s a common misconception that bookkeeping and accounting are one and the same. People often use the terms interchangeably, which stems from the fact that both roles deal with financial information. However, there are clear differences between them. Understanding them will help you hire the right person for the job and stay on top of your finances. Let’s take a closer look at what each entails to clear things up and help you run a successful business. They Have Different Goals **Bookkeeping** is the process of recording a company’s financial data, that is, all the sales, purchases, bank payments, payroll, and other financial transactions. https://www.thebalancesmb.com/bookkeeping-101-a-beginning-tutorial-392961 A bookkeeper records, classifies, and organizes that data with the goal of providing a business with a clear view of its transactions. That’s important for overseeing the entire cash flow. **Accounting** is the process of analyzing and interpreting all that financial data. It provides a business with financial insights based on the bookkeeping data to help it understand and measure its financial situation. https://www.businessnewsdaily.com/2689-accounting.html That’s vital for maintaining a budget, predicting and ensuring a positive cash flow, and forecasting revenue and growth. It’s also essential for sending accurate financial reports to relevant financial institutions, such as banks, and government organizations, such as tax authorities. Accounting Is More Complex Bookkeeping doesn’t require any special skills. Bookkeepers need to have a way with numbers and great attention to detail, but they don’t need any specific qualifications. That’s because they only make systematic records of financial transactions. They can get a license, which is not a requirement, as it’s based only on full-time work experience. Accounting is far more complex, as it involves making sense of financial data. Accountants verify, summarize, and interpret it to generate comprehensive reports and conduct financial audits. That requires a specific skill set, including analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and industry knowledge. They must have a college degree and can acquire additional certifications and licenses. Accounting Affects Business Decisions You can’t make an informed business decision without analyzing your financial data to understand it and identify areas for improvement. That’s what an accountant’s job comes down to. They help managers make critical decisions for growing a business. By analyzing all the costs, income, key performance metrics, and conducting **tax preparation**, they consult and guide business owners on a path to a strong financial future. https://qe.tax/service/tax-preparation They can’t do that without a company’s bookkeeping data, which must be consistent and accurate to lead to effective decision-making that gets results. But that data alone isn’t nearly enough to make any decision. Bookkeeping Doesn’t Involve Analytics Bookkeepers don’t analyze the books. As we’ve said, they make records of financial transactions. Their job isn’t to generate reports and communicate insights to managers and third parties. They only make a necessary foundation for accountants, who crunch the numbers to prepare data-driven financial statements and reports. That’s why **accounting services** are typically more expensive than bookkeeping. https://qe.tax/service/accounting The Role of Accountants Accountants perform many duties, each revolving around financial analyses for driving insights important for financial health and regulatory compliance. Some of their most important duties include: Assessing and managing financial data Calculating operational costs and key performance metrics Analyzing accounts and business plans Preparing and maintaining budgets Making income, profit, and loss statements Performing risk assessments Assisting in income and expenditure control Performing financial audits Analyzing historical data and current business trends Assisting in decision-making and future planning Generating financial reports Providing financial advice on saving costs, increasing revenue, and maximizing profits Pinpointing issues and recommending strategic solutions Making revenue and growth forecasts Preparing tax returns Ensuring regulatory compliance That’s quite a lot of duties, so you can understand how complex and challenging accounting can be. Accountants perform some of the key roles in any company, particularly because of all the strategic advice they provide to help businesses seize growth opportunities. The Role of Bookkeepers Bookkeepers perform fewer duties than accountants, which doesn’t mean they’re less important. Bookkeeping is the foundation of accounting, as it provides the necessary groundwork for all those financial analyses and reports. Bookkeepers’ key responsibilities include: Recording financial transactions, including sales and supplier purchases Verifying and recording expenses Posting transactions to various accounts Processing payments Making invoices Managing payroll Filing documents to maintain financial records Sending financial reports to third parties, such as banks Conclusion Bookkeeping and accounting are key business processes that complement one another. Although they may overlap sometimes, there are distinct differences between them. And while accountants can be bookkeepers, the latter can’t perform accounting duties without formal education, proper training, and adequate certification.
