A story
Caliph Abdul Malik ibn Marwan was circumambulating the House of Allah. He saw a young man with a very dignified face, but he looked poor in his clothes. Caliph Abdul Malik asked, "Who is this young man?" He was told that the young man's name was Salem and that he was the son of Abdullah bin Umar and the grandson of Umar bin Khattab. Caliph Abdul Malik was shocked. And he sent for this young man. Caliph Abdul Malik asked, "Son, I am a big fan of your grandfather Omar Farooq." I am very sad to see your condition. I'd be happy to help you. You state your need. Whatever you ask for will be given to you. The young man replied, O Amir al-mu'minin! I am currently in the house of Allah in Baitullah
The young man replied, O Amir al-mu'minin! I am currently in the house of Allah in Baitullah and I am ashamed to sit in the house of Allah and ask for something from someone else. Caliph Abdul Malik glanced at his calm face and fell silent. The caliph said to his slave, "As soon as this young man comes out of the House of God after completing his worship, bring him to me."
As soon as Salem ibn Abdullah ibn Umar came out of the Ka'bah, the slave told him that Amir al-mu'minin had remembered him. Salem bin Abdullah reached the Caliph. Caliph Abdul Malik said, teens! Now you are not in Baitullah, now express your need. My heart wants me to help you.
Salem bin Abdullah said, O Commander of the Faithful! Which of my needs can you fulfill, worldly or the hereafter? The Commander of the Faithful replied, That I have only worldly possessions. Salem bin Abdullah replied: Amir al-mu'minin! I never asked Allah for the world. Who is the owner of this world. What can i ask you My need and concern is only for the Hereafter. Let me know if you can help me with that
The caliph was astonished. And he said, "Young man, this is not you, your blood is speaking." Surprised and shocked by Caliph Abdul Malik, Salem bin Abdullah (may Allah have mercy on him) left the place and entered the street adjacent to the Haram and disappeared from sight. Thus a young ruler of the time was given a very good lesson of preparation for the Hereafter.
Have you thought about the Hereafter? If you haven't thought about it, for God's sake, think from this moment on, do you know if we will have the next moment or not?

How to use antibiotics wisely
One of the most abused classes of drugs all over the world are ***antibiotics.*** This occurs however because most people often resort to them at every slightest health hitch be it typhoid, common cold etc. But it's not just about using these drug, the problem lies in the ability of a person to use them appropriately.
Like I clearly pointed out in my previous post, *antibiotics do not work for viral infections* and when people take these drugs when they have viral infections, they end up exposing their system too much to the drugs and eventually become resistant to it.
Another major way of abusing antibiotics commonly practiced by people is ***"incomplete dosage"..*** When taking an antibiotic, it is a **MUST** to finish the dosage. If the individual stops the dosage halfway for any reason, there is great risk of an even deadlier microbial attack. This is because the microbes require the complete dose to be finished off, so when the dose taken is not enough, some of the strains of the bacteria would survive and become even a stronger army than they were initially!
Nevertheless, here are some of *the tips to effectively use antibiotics;*
1. Always take the ***complete dose*** of antibiotics as prescribed by a physician.
2. Do not take ***"left over" antibiotics*** or drugs that were initially prescribed for someone else.
3. ***Do not store antibiotics***.. If you're done with treatment and you still have some tablets left, do well to dispose them appropriately. Drugs that have overstayed put the consumer at great risk.
4. You must not take antibiotics for every microbial infection. *Sometimes, try to treat the symptoms!* There are certain illnesses/diseases that must complete its course once started and taking antibiotics would never relief you of them, so don't bother your system with too much drugs!!!
5. Always ***change the product of antibiotics*** you're using. By so doing, if by chance the microbes are becoming resistant, you will be able to surprise them with a new drug component.
6. *Avoid taking antibiotics for the wrong reasons..* If it's a viral infection such as common cold, then you don't need antibiotics!.. *Why??* Because the viruses that cause such diseases are not *"living things"* and antibiotics work solely for ***"living organisms".***
7. Lastly, always *meet a doctor for proper prescription.* Most antibiotics have their pre-indications/side effects and the effectiveness also depends on your diagnosis. So it's best to get professional help before choosing which antibiotics is good for you.

Never Abuse Drugs
Drug abuse is generally a big problem for anyone who indulges it and medical experts keep on sounding the warning for people to abstain from it. Albeit, there are certain classes of drugs which one **MUST** **NEVER** abuse as the resulting consequences are quite enormous and causes more harm. One of these classes of drugs is the ***Antibiotics.***
***Antibiotics*** are those drugs that are used to combat *common microbial infections* in man. One mistake that people usually make however is that they take antibiotics for every infection whereas *these drugs are NOT effective against viral infections.* So when someone has ***common cold*** for instance and goes ahead to take antibiotics, the individual is not only *"pouring water on a rock" (making a failed effort)* but they're also exposing themselves to risk of antibiotic resistance. Let me break that down further.
When a person takes antibiotics unnecessarily or for the wrong reasons, other *foreign microbes present in the body become frequently exposed to these drugs that they start developing resistance to it.* When this happens, the individual will require higher doses of the same drug to be able to combat these foreign microbes in the future.
Secondly, these antibiotics also travel down to various parts of the body and destroy even the *"beneficial" bacterial flora such as the Lactobacillus bacteria in the stomach.* They accomplish this by deactivating the growth and reproduction/multiplication of these bacteria which are helpful to man. This further leaves the individual more susceptible to stronger microbial attacks subsequently.
Apart from these mentioned risks, there is also a possibility that *the antibiotics will force the individual's normal flora (beneficial bacteria) to turn bad via horizontal gene transfer (HGT).* What this means is that the "beneficial" bacteria may be forced to take up new genes that will make them harmful to the body and cause even more diseases in the future.
Now you may be wondering, ***"what is the best way to use antibiotics effectively??"*** Stay tuned as I drop some of the important tips in the next part of this piece.!

Everyone of us have a list of the kind of man or woman we would love to enter a relationship with or date and most times we tend to be very strict in ensuring that we follow that list to the letter.
These qualities refers to the physical attributes which includes:
The height, the complexion, the physique, the fashion sense, his/her charisma ( the way he or she presents herself) e.t.c.
I was priviledged to ask several of my family friends who are married if they married their spec and was surprised at their response.
80% said they didn't end up getting married to their spec while 20% said they married their kind of men.
To my married friends, did you marry your spec?

Let me share with you my kind of man.
My spec is TDH which stands for TALL, DARK AND HANDSOME and I also like guys that are well built (muscular in nature) and have a good fashion sense.
Enough said ... so ladies, what are those qualities you desire in a man ? I mean when a guy approaches you , what are those things you look out for that would make you give him a listening ear.

I just had a heart to heart talk with a young bright girl who happened to be a victim of rape. It saddens my heart when i hear such stories and i feel worst when i am helpless in such situations.
HERE IS HER STORY!
She left her village to stay with her aunt who stays in Delta state early this year. We got close because she always greets me whenever i meet her on the street and that was how i extended my hand of friendship.
Her father died when she was just ten years old and her mother remarried since she needed financial support since she had nothing tangible doing and depended solely on her late husband.
Now the problem started the day her mother traveled to another village to sell her farm produce but was unable to come home due to the the riot that took place in that village. She was left at home with her step father who asked her to come sleep in his room since she was scared and worried sick. Well, you know the rest of the story and she was threaten that if she ever told her mom, he would send her to a far away location. She had bruises all over and couldn't walk properly and this drew her mother's attention. After much interrogation she opened up to her mother.
She was in a dilemma, she needed the man's support and her daughter needs her so she decided to send her to live with her younger sister in the city. I was just speechless for awhile and decided to bring it here.
DID HER MOTHER MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION? IF YOU WERE IN HER SHOES, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE?

Hello friends,
I would love us to discuss a very delicate topic which is keeping secret in a relationship.
**Is it okay to keep secret from your lover?**
We all have secrets but some are uglier than others and we feel the need not to share it with anyone.
Well, that is why it is called a secret because people don't know about it or just very few people do.
When you enter a relationship, you promise to be truthful, to share everything with your partner but are you really truthful about everything?
Do you really tell your partner everything?

I feel if you truely love someone just as you claim you do, there should be no room for secrecy because when you keep secret it means you have something to hide.
A relationship whereby one partner is not being sincere to the other will never last long and so if you really want your relationship to last then you should laid your all your cards on the table.
Many sweet relationships has gone sour just because of a secret kept by one partner that was later discovered by the other partner.
We all know nothing is hidden under the sun for long and one day the truth will be out so why not just come clean and tell your partner no matter how ugly it might be because a partner that truly loves you will stay no matter what.
Please don't confuse telling of secrets to lying in a relationship, that is two different subject matter.
If there is something you have done in the past or in the course of your relationship and you know if your partner knows he or she will walk away and you decide to keep it a secret, that secret will keep tormenting you untill you open up and the worst is if karma decide to show its head and you start experiencing the repercussions of your actions.
It is better you come clean so you can have a clean conscience than to hide a secret that eats you up inwardly.
I tell you, no matter how ugly that secret is, if he or she truly loves you, they will never break up with you because of it and if they left then they any the right one for you.
I know some persons will not agree with my analogy on telling secrets so I am heading to my comment section to read about your thought on the matter.

Have you ever woken up at night, sweating profusely, blinking and pinching yourself to ensure you are back to reality?
I know it sounds funny to those who haven't experienced such but those who have had such experience can relate to it.
A friend called me this morning and after we had exchange pleasantries he asked 'Did you dream of me"?
I paused for awhile trying to find an accurate response to give to him because the truth is I can't remember the last time I had a dream.
Although I knew he was asking to know if he was always in my thought because we tend to dream about people we think about.
I remember whenever I had a bad dream as a child my mother would always say "sweetheart, it was just your imagination running wild which is an a result of what you had in your mind/thought before falling asleep.
Now that I have grown, I still ask myself this question 'Is dream as a result of what ever you think about about before going to bed?
I would love to hear your own opinion about dream.

Sleeping positions
Sleeping is a practice we all engage in whether we like it or not. It is the time our body reboot after a long day.
Sleeping is a major part of our lives and the way we sleep matters a lot when it comes to having a quality sleep.
There are many sleeping posture known to man and each has its own benefits and downsides.
If you have some health issues like heart problems it is best to ask your doctor the best position to sleep.
If you always have trouble sleeping, snore while sleeping or experience sleep apnea, wake up feeling tired or with a stiff neck, lower back pain, and joint pain e.t.c sometimes all you need is a change in your sleeping posture.
Have you ever slept in the same bed with a snorer? 🤣🤣
Gosh it keeps you awake for long and deprive you of a good quality sleep.
When it comes to pregnancy, not all sleeping posture is advisable especially sleeping on your belly or on your back even if it's for just few minutes. It is said to have a negative effect on your baby.
There are also few habits you should practice to ensure quality sleep like:
Avoid too much intake of caffeine
Regular exercise is essential
Organise a sleeping schedule that will help you feel relax before going to bed.
If you have no issue with your current sleep posture, then there is no need changing it.
Your sleeping posture matter more than you know and it is best to see a doctor when you experience difficulty sleeping or you wake up feeling weak.

He was never available.
Would go to work early in the morning.

When I come to play with him, he will always say he's tired.

With constant ranting of how he is too busy for you and how you love mom more than him.
How do you show him you appreciate his effort?
You would ask for money and if he tells you he doesn't have or give you part of the money, you would feel sad and find it hard to appreciate his effort.
You say dad is never available but mom is available.
She is available because she stays at home while dad work to ensure you don't go hungry and yet... You never appreciate him for all the times he had sacrificed everything just to make you happy.
Thumbs up to all the dad on this platform and soon to be dad...you rock.
