Today I found on the Internet such a cool painting by the artist Igor Shaimardanov "Pskov Maslenitsa", I really liked it. The picture shows pancakes in the sky😊 Now Orthodox Christians in Russia are having Maslenitsa. This is the week when meat meals end and only dairy products and eggs remain from animal food. And everyone is baking pancakes and treating each other. Maslenitsa ends with a Forgiven Sunday. On this day, everyone asks for each other's forgiveness and tries to forgive others themselves. Lent begins on Monday. At this time, people try to lead a more secluded life, pray and visit the church more often. The Lent lasts 40 days and ends with Easter, the Resurrection of Christ. #art #painting #christianity

Today as Roman Catholic, we celebrate ash wednesday as the start of Lent season and same with you 40days before the Holy week and Easter Sunday.. day of fasting and prayer.. That is a beauriful painting sis ..😊
