Today's Problem In Nigeria
Hello guys, its been long and am glad to be here once again. Have had so many issues to deal with that i actually find it hard creating time to here or in most cases i am just too tired to write.
My phone was stolen early this month which i had to go through series of stress just to retrieve my sim card back. These past events made me realize one of Nigeria's biggest problem, which is the fact that our Government make rules without actually making proper preparations.
Over the years am sure we have seen and heard our Government **(The Nigerian Federal Government )** come up with so many laws, rules and regulations which in most cases do not make sense or are just out right crazy. The people view these laws like this because based on the actions of the government, they do not care about how such sudden changes Would affect the masses nor do they provide easy ways to help the people adapt to such changes. Examples of such could include the recent ban of cryptocurrency or the introduction of linking your National Identity number With your phone number.
I was at the MTN office trying to retrieve my sim card for over a week and the reason was that they had no network. They claimed that the new law placed by the Government requires that before they retrieve any sim card, it should be linked to your NIN (National Identity Number) which was facing serious network issues because apparently all network companies all over the country has to go through that one site, causing serious traffic. Based on this, i see many of our elders sitting on the floors, standing under the sun and even under the rain waiting for their turn. In most cases the network officials are able to attend to just three or four persons out of a crowd of over a hundreds. Customers are forced to risk their lives, living their houses as at 4:00AM just so they could be amoung the first 20 to go in.
The situation became worse with the fact that no one is allowed to sell sim cards within the country until further notice. It is quite understandable the reason for linking the NIN with our phone numbers, its indeed a good step to try stop fraud activities and to give the masses better protection against cyber crimes. I believe if proper arrangements and preparations are made, many would not have to suffer this much. I believe they might actually have the masses at heart in certain cases but their inability to provide proper preparations in other to ensure an easy has fueled the notion that the Government only wants to see the people suffer.
Times like this, before such laws come into power, the Government sould have made sure the NIN site goes through proper upgrade and more links should be created in other to reduce the work load and traffic on the portal. More staff should be set in various centers to ensure a quick and effective response to the people. Like in the MTN office warri headquarters, they only allow 30 persons to register for the NIN. And even those lucky 30 are not assured of going home satisfied with a job well done. Meanwhile in most case they can only attend to four or five persons per day who comes for sim upgrade or retriever because of network issues

A Generation Of Power
There was once a generation that was willing to do the right thing even in a foreign land and without supervision, who never cared about the end results or punishment as long as it is in line with God.
***Genesis 39:9 KJV***
***There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?***
There was once a generation that was ready to hear from God even as a child, and was willing to obey and follow the instructions of God from an early age.
***1 Samuel 3:10 KJV***
***And the Lord came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.***
There was once a generation that never cared about what others said about their faith, they where ready to die for their doctrine, and would do anything for the God they believed in.
***Daniel 3:17 KJV***
***If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.***
There was once a generation that their word carried power and authority that even God payed attention and worked according to their word
***1 Kings 17:1 KJV***
***And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.***
There was once a generation that even after death, they still preformed miracles to glorify God's name
***2 Kings 13:21 KJV***
***And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men ; and they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet.***
There was once a generation that could even make the sun and the moon stand still
***Joshua 10:12 KJV Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.***
Keypoint 🔑...
The devil has so fooled and deceived many belivers of this generation today both small and big, we no longer burn and taste after God like our passed generations, we have been blinded by material things and how to get them. The tourch has been passed down to us, it is our duity to carry the task and do greater works.
#remember...
It would be so painful and shameful if the mantle that has been passed down to us, dies at our time.
#check yourself as a youth, are you really pleasing God.

An Ambassador
***Matthew 5:14 KJV***
***Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid***.
First and foremost, let us take a view of what the world today see an ambassador as.
An ambassador is someone that represents a country or brand. An ambassador is an official envoy, especially a high-ranking diplomat who represents a state or country. Ambassadors are usually sent to other countries to serve as representatives of their state/country of origin. An ambassador could also be seen as the President's highest-ranking representative to a specific nation or nations or international organization .
We also have brand ambassador, this is a person or group of persons employed by an organization or company to represent a brand in a positive light. By doing this they help to increase awareness and sales. A brand ambassador, is task with the responsibility of protecting the identity, appearance and values of the brand or company they represent. It is a common fact and knowledge that every ethics dispalyed by an ambassador of either a brand, company or state/country. Is acceptable where ever they represent.
As Christians, we have been selected as God's ambassador to represent Him here on earth. Just like earthly ambassadors, we are expected to showcase His light and glory and represent His kingdom through our character and works here on earth. Just as whatever an ambassador do or say affects how others view and value what they represent, same thing as a Christian, how people view the God we serve, is also determined by the actions we take.
Many so called Christians today, live a double life. You see them as the perfect brother/sister in Christ but what happens when they are no longer within the church surroundings? You see a totally and completely different person. If others where asked about you, what would be their remarks, would it be something you are proud of?
Our character should show fort the light that God has made us to be here on earth. Where ever we are, we should always represent God. Its funny how we tend to hear a completely different story about our kids in school than what we are used to. Most of our youths tend to try out various different lifestyle once they get into college because they feel they are independent. As Christians no matter the environment you find yourself, always remember you are a child and Ambassador to the creator of Heaven and Earth. Irrespective of who is or who is not watching. Like they say good reputation is better than riches, because when you have a good reputation, it encourages more people to trust you and have dealings with you.
***Matthew 5:16 KJV***
***Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.***

Building a Healthy And Godly Relationship
hello guys, its been abit long i posted on read.cash due to some issues, tho have not been getting tips from @TheRandomRewarder for some time now but that aside we still push forward. Am going to try my best to be active once again and i pray things work out well.
Our world today, relationships has becomes a common thing, whereby almost anyone can be or is already in a relationship. Our youngs ones today go into relationships without actually fully understanding what it means to be in a relationship. Various observation has so shown that the rush to go into a relationships (mostly amoung our young ones) increases around January and in February there are so many new relationships based on the fact that no one wants to spend February 14th alone.
I once asked someone her point of view on how she sees relationship and what one should expect in a relationship, the answer she gave me was just one word. "Sex" many today sees relationships as a means to enjoy themselves, have sex, enjoy each others company or intimacy and gifts. That is all they believe relationships are ment for. Many today rush into relationships without actually being ready mentally. Some go into relationships just because they feel lonely or less loved, hence they want to be with someone who would show them unlimited love and make them happy always.
There is actually notting wrong in starting a relationship with someone but it should be for the right reasons . Before you start a relationship, i think you should ask your self these questions.
What is my reason for going into the relationship? Do i plan on getting married or just for fun or am i just lonely and i need someone to make me happy.
What impact can i make in the life of my partner,be it mentally, spiritually on physically. Remember relationship is not about sex.
if your reason for going into a relationship is based on the fact that you are lonely or that you need someone to make you happy, then am sorry to say that you might not find true happiness in that relationship. Yes it first everything would seem perfect but later on that emptiness would still be there, what happens when your partner does things that upsets you? Or cant make you happy?
Before going into any relationship, you should have self love, love yourself, be able to make yourself happy by yourself. In that way you will not only make life easy for your partner, but also be able to appreciate any little efforts made by them.
relationship is not ment for just fun alone, its not just about what you can receive, its also about what you can give. Relationship is about caring, loving, understanding your partner its about growing each other in every aspect of life and most importantly relationship is about companionship and friendship.
your relationship should be with someone that draws you closer to your maker, it should be with someone that respects your decisions and opinions, it should be with someone that impacts positively into your life and vise versa. So tell me if you dont have self love how can you do all that?
do not let peer pressure control you and make you go into a relationship when you are not ready, love your self, understand yourself and evey other thing comes easy.
Most importantly a relationship should be pure, and its foundation should be built on God. There is no relationship as good and perfect when both partners seeks the face of God.
Remember notting good comes easy, so things might be rough right now but keep pushing forward, and dont hold back. Build self love and self happiness, no one can ever understand you better than yourself, then share that feelings with others.

Love Or Respect?
**Quick question:** is it actually possible to respect someone without love?
Many might argue that it is in fact impossible to respect someone without being in love with that person or having love for that person to some extent. After all if you truely love someone, you should be able to care for them, understand them, and of cause respect everything about them.
One thing we should understand is that love and respect are two different things, with different meanings.lets look at the definition of both before we go further.
****Respect:**** A feeling of deep admiration for someone or something, or a supernatural being elicted by their abilities, qualities or achievement. Which means one could have respect for another person based on their achievements and position. In the same way we could also admire someone deeply which in turn leads to respecting that person. Now you dont know about their life style, like how they eat, what they love doing as hobbies etc. You give them that respect because you admire them for a particular thing they have accomplished. The same way most Christians would say they love God with all their hearts, yet they do things that goes against the will of God. The same way they could dress indecently to various occasions but decide to dress decent to church out of respect that its the House of God.
****Love:**** A strong feeling of deep affection. Love means to be deeply committed and connected to someone or something, love means to put others first before yourself. Love means sacrifice, to be committed, even when the person is absent without seeing it as a burden or stress. In other words if i truely love someone, i dont have to follow their rules only when they are around out of respect, i also have to follow their rules even in their absence. Love means even when i know their bad habbits and weakness, i still have to love and respect them.
in the Christian society today, many belivers would claim to love God, they actually believe they love God with all their hearts. Yet they find it hard and difficult to carry out God's will. Same way in the world today many of us can easily confess our love for others, yet we find it hard to defend them in their absence.
***John 14:21 KJV***
***He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.***
We mistake respect for love, it is impossible for someone to love you without having respect for you, but it is very possible to show respect without love. We cannot fully keep God's commandments because that love is not there, we find it difficult to obey because that genuine love is missing, a man can respect you but not love you. But when a man loves you, every other thing follows. And respect comes automatically.
Lets be honest with ourselves, not every one actually likes Their president. And there are various reasons for that, it could be based on how he rules, you may not like him for the kind of policy he brings, or it could be the fact that you feel he is not doing a good enough job. Or in most cases you just dont like them.
What happens if he calls you for an appointment or contract? Am very sure you would dress your best that day and would try everything possible to be on time. Then what happens when he actually gives you that contract? Oh am sure you would be exicted about it, you will surely thank him, say how much you love and admire his government. But what happens when you hear others talk bad about him? Am sure you wouldn't be interested in defending him, because deep down you dont love him. Yes you respect the fact that he is the president, you repspect the fact that he gave you an appointment, you respect him/her for what they have achieved, but you dont love him to the point that you are willing to defend him in his absence.
When true love is involved? Am sure you have heard of cases where by fans fight each other, now their idols dont even know they exist yet they go extra miles to fight and defend their names. They are willing to do and say anything to protect them. When there is true love you can do anything.
Respect has boundaries
True love has no boundaries

What i feared most finally came, at the moment my family was in a very difficult position,Our currency Naira was dropping rapidly which made things extremely hard for us here. The situation became so bad that i had to bit my daily eating to once a day. I still could not afford to buy cooking materials so i had to resort to buying cooked food, there was a store that sells rice and spaghetti with stew just outside where i lived then towards evening they sell a locally made meat pie, i dont really know what to call it tho but it was not exactly meat pie or fish pie but it was shaped like it and had alot of onion with little fish on it, yea i know i dont like onion but i had no room for choice.
The situation got so worse that even the money sent was never enough once i convert it to their currency, and i was finally back in town so i had to spend more money in going to the border. My landlady was abit friendly, and we became really close when i started attending her church. Tho it was really far but their pastor was a Nigerian, and the English group in the church was really friendly and welcoming towards me which made me feel more at home. But based on the distance i didnt put much effort in joinning their choir or any other major group, so they where not aware i could play drum. There where times my landlady would cook food and call me to join them. On a normal day i would not have agreed but hey, now is not the time for Modesty i was dieing of hunger.
Things in school was not helping matters as well, there where day i would go and no one would show up, and there where some days i decided not to go at all. Boredom was another major issue i had to deal with, i was alone. I had no money to buy data so during the evening when the sun had gone down, i would walk for miles looking for free Wi-Fi . I finally found one tho it was abit far from home but i had no choice, the Connection was weak but it was better than notting. Every evening, i would treak for miles to get there and in the end,i still wount be able to complete my download. I would have to come back each day to continue from where i stopped. MTN the network provider i used was also giving free browsing as from 7:00AM to 7:30AM so i had that 30 minutes to get some things done tho as usual it was usually slow. It took days to download a single file. What kept me company was my novels, i had alot on my phone and i kept downloading any chance i got. As days went by, i had to stay without eating for a day so i could manage the little i had.
I had Nintendo 62 emulator on my phone which allowed me to paly Nintendo 62 games. Finally i was able to download one game after almost a week, the namw was legend of Zelda ocarina of time, at first i thought it was boring it was actually the first time i have seen or heard about it. When i finally started, the game was great it kept me occupied for days. There where some days i even did alnite playing this game. I was captivated by the world of legend of Zelda, the plot was great, the twist in time and time travel everything was wonderful. I decided to do some research on it, and i was surprised to see how popular it was and it has even broken alot of records which made me wonder why i just discovered about it? The game had various part which Nintendo decided to spilt on the various Nintendo consoles. Lucky me there was another part on Nintendo 62, legend of Zelda Majora's mask. This part was epic i mean you where given just three days to stop the moon from crashing down on earth and you have to travel to various regions just to find and save the spirits who can stop it, how in Gods name would three days be enough to do all that? Well thats where time travel comes in. The game was indeed epic from then on i became a fan of the zelda series.
depict the distraction, it still did not help change the fact that things where not going as i would like them to. It was a new month and mom finally sent me something, tho it was really small but i understood the condition of things at home and for that i was really grateful. I decided to take a trip to the border, so i could get some cash and maybe buy one or two things from the border. I had this urge not to carry my phone along, but i quickly push it aside. I mean have beem carry it for some time now, why cant i carry it today? The journey to the border is long, i need my phone to keep myself busy. But i still had the growing urge not to bring my phone alone. It was rainning season so getting to the border, the whole place was filled with water. I had a back road where i usually pass. There where bikes one could pay to cross the border, but the issue back then was their fee. They would charge 1000 or 8000 naira just to cross you in the name of they are going to settle officials on the way. So i normally walk, i cant afford to pay that much when what i have is not even enough.
due to the rain, the road was filled with water. I had to pull my trousers up in other to cross i even decided to snap the area with my phone so that i could show my friend online. Oh did i mention i could come online on Face book anytime i wanted? I had an app that gave me access to free facebook tho the downside was that i could not view pictures but i could chat with it. Even if i could not use my whatsapp, at least i could access most of my friends on facebook. I finally crossed the water tho i was not out of the border yet but i got to the busy side of it. I saw an old begger who started walking extremely close to me, he started saying things i didnt understand,The he touched me. I quickly drew back but i guess i was not fast enough. The old begger left, i started my journey but i kept thinking about the old begger and was wondering what he wanted or what he was trying to say. That was when it hit me, oh no i touched all my pockets it was no where to be found, i retract my steps i could not find it. It was gone, i knew very well where i kept it, i mean i just used it before i met the old begger. Oh crap that was what he was after, how did he know where to check? How was he that fast? My phone was gone......

**IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STORM**

My journey back to Nigeria was long and stressful, my phone was faulty, it turned out the battery was a fake one. So i could only use it when charging. To make matters worse i discovered from my sister that we had located to another place. Which means my coming back, i had to locate our new apartment. The stressful was that there was no phone to communicate with my family, tho i knew the new location but i have never been to that particular street. But i was confident i could locate it as long as i get there on time.
I finally got to my city warri city around after eight in the nite. Getting to the new location, there was no bike to take me there which ment i had to treak down, there was no stores available for me to actually ask directions. I made up my mind that in the end if am not able to locate the place, i would just go and sleep in my church compound till the next day, which was really close to our new location. Besides we had service the next day being friday, so i was quit sure that my family would be in Church the next day.
Getting to the last street in the area, the gate was locked, the security man asked my name, which i gave him and he said okay they where expecting me that my mom told them i would be coming late, if not he would not have let me pass. I asked for directions and he gave me. Lol i almost got lost but here, this was my city i could surely find my way easily. I started looking for the compound, until i saw the very last one with my mom's car, i entered and knocked on the first apartment. My mom opened the door with exictment, it has been almost a year we last saw each other. She hugged me asked about my journey and commented on how thin i became lol. I met my sister we talked till around twelve midnight. I finally went too bed well fed and under a good soft bed.
The first few days was about me getting used to the new environment and other changes i really dont want to write about right now. I decided to fix my phone but the price was too high so i got another instead, not new but strong enough to last me, at first i hated it, it was small and all that but that was what my money could afford me. But later on i actually fell in love with the phone.
As time went by, i became more worried about what the future holds for me. Emmanuel assured me he would surely come back but the last time i heard from her, she was no longer sure about her return. I didnt tell my mom what was going on in other not to make her worry. But i was very worried, since the University would be going back to their old location, it means i had to find a new hostel. Mom gave me money to rent apartment, but i was actually scared of two things. One the fact i dont know what the future holds for me when i go back and two which is the most important is i dont want to experience starvation again. Hahaha trust me food is life.
This time i tried to prepare myself, or so i thought. I took extra food stuff with what i already had. The plan was that i would meet up with my sister in Porto novo then from there we would look for a house close to the school. I made my journey back to Benin Republic, i found out my sister was actually staying with the agent who took me to Benin Republic the first time. Like i said earlier Benin Republic had two major cities Which are Cotonou and Porto Novo. It was my first time visiting Porto Novo, the place was abit local, their houses had wonder designs that i had never seen before. I got to their apartment, it was really big, since he was kind of a family friend he promised he would help us look for an apartment close to the school during the weekend which means my stay would be just for one week.
I tried contacting Emmanuel to let him know about my movements and find out when he would be coming, he promised he would come within the month, meanwhile Comfort had finally decided that she would not return. It turns out her parents had made arrangements to start again in another school in Nigeria. Its better to start Fresh than putting hope on what seems like a loss cause.
One week turned to two weeks, the agent kept on promising and failing, until the third week. During these weeks there where so many activities but one that really put fear in me was when the agent had some misunderstanding with his brother who recently left the army, it was intense almost like they where going to kill themselves. Our neighbors had to come assist us in breaking them apart. But this event attracted the attention of a native group called zambetor. legends had it that they usally move at midnight on specific days to protect the neighbourhood, they where belived to be more than humans with supernatural powers. No one was allowed to walk the streets when ever they are around. It is said that no one is allowed to even spy on them at nite, they would kill such persons. Luckly for us the elders had to beg them if not they where ready to fine us for disturbing the peace. Finally we left for Cotonou we spent alot of money just on transportation. From porto Novo to Cotonou should be around 1500cfa. Finally we got an apartment just opposite the school.
all these while i had heard notting from the school, they promised to bring in more foreign students, which obviously they lied about that. Emmanuel was still no where to be found. Day after day i went too school with no lecturer at sight, there where some days we would see one or too, but we could feel it, the University was falling. Our Dean was no where to be found, most of the lecturers stopped coming to classes and even school in general, I guess Comfort made the right choice and Emmanuel? He said there was no money to come over for now, but i never knew he was looking for a way to transfer to another university in Benin Republic.
My new apartment was a very small one that was actually ment for one person, it was just a small room with bathroom and a small space set aside for the kitchen right inside the room, me and my sister had to manage it. Tho she was preparing to travel back to Nigeria to do some practical works for some months as an intern in an hospital as a nursing student. Things so far where abit okay, there was no cooking materials yet, so we had to rely on buying already cooked food or snacks most of the time. There was not enough money for us to purchase gas, pots and other things. The university became worse, students began to reduce, in most cases there where little or no body in the foreign department and the worse part we have paid school fees. I had to tell my mom about it, and she was angry i didnt tell her on time, so she said we would walk towards me transfering to another school but that can only be done the next section. And my math results was already out, so i had all my document complete.
My sister finally left for her internship, things started going from bad to worse, what i feared most had finally come with full force.... Starvation!!!!

**NOT ALL THAT GLITTERS**
***Previously***
***https://read.cash/@My_cloud/just-another-student-story-7d94d169***
Getting used to our new location was abit easier, the neighbourhood was friendly, tho not as populated like our previous place, but hey that was to be expected, we where actually outside of any major town and abit close to the border. We made another friend who was actually part Nigerian and part Benin Republic, so he could speak and understand English very well. Classes so far had been go well, which made me forget my doubt about the school status on accreditation. One Saturday i decided to take a walk round the area to find a Church that i could attend, i choose Saturday because thats when most church choir fix their rehearsals to prepare for the service on on sunday. I actually found three, one was abit far from my hostel, and two was very close to my hostel. So i decided my decision would be between the two closest to where i live, the plan was that the next day i would attend one then the next sunday i would try the other one then decided which i would finally stay.
Sunday came, i was so excited that i left the house as early as 7am. I got too one of the church, it was closed and i was kind of dissapointed
***( lol not knowing that God actually saved me from that one. Later i discovered that the church was not really a Church but was a cult with strange doctrine)***
I went too the next church which was actually opened, i joined them in prayers and the service started. I must say it was really nice, i took note of their drummer lol as ever instrumentalist would do when they see someone else playing, i began to access him to see how good he was and if i was better, i concluded that he was okay but i could do better. After service, i waited behind then i was introduced to the choir master who had the same name as me. He told me the time for rehearsals the next saturday. With exictment i was the first person to be present on that saturday, i join their rehearsals and i discovered that not only are they Nigerians like me, they where all Igbos, (Igbo is one of the three major tribes in Nigeria) so they usually speak their native tongue sometimes and they actually thought i was part of their tribe. Hahaha and i said notting about it.
I was introduced to the choir members and they told me i would play the drum for a particular song the next day. But here is the thing, the song they appointed to me was a native song of Benin Republic, which was kind of technical and difficult, i was already scared i would mess up on my first try. Sunday came and i was abit scared, it finally got too my turn to paly, all eyes where on me like they actually wanted to see if i could play or not, the song started and as i expected it was kind of difficult, so i started with s beat that was kind of awkward because i still needed time to blend in. I saw the disapproving looks on their faces, lol like just stop playing, you cant play. One cane to me and said, your drum beat is not correct. I smiled and nodded, what i needed was to get the hang of the song, so i could blend a beat in. But it would have been awkward if i just waited and played notting. I finally got the song and i changed my beating style to fit in. And i could see their surprised faces, hahaha they have not even seen half of what i could do. After service the choir master came and thanked me, he loved how i played and would love to see me more.
I was loving my new environment, i hd friends, a church, i played drum once again everything was okay tho as usual there where times we had notting, we had to eat just oil and rice without salt, there days we stayed without food only water for days but somhow God kept us alive then i fell sick, that was actually my first sickness since i came too Benin republic and i was scared i thought i would actually die. I was so weak i could not stand, i could not even eat (lol actually we really didnt have much food in the first place) i kept on throwing up. That experience made me realize one thing thou a person can never be judged based based on their religion but rather their heart. Who would have thought that it was actually a Muslim that would help me. It was like i was dieing, and there was no money to even buy drugs. It was the landlady's son eho was our friend and also a Muslim that helped me back then.
As time went by, most of our lecturers stopped coming to give us lecture, we tried contacting them and their was that the new location was abit far and the school has not been paying them. The school was going into debts. Then the news came. Just as i suspected, the University was not accredited With the Nigerian goverment. Which ment even thou i graduate my result is completely and totally useless in Nigeria, because the school is not known. Which means i cant even go for National Service. Thou i was till in my first year, but all the years i would spend here would be useless . Where do i start from? What would my friends say? Surely this would be another reason for them to laugh at me.
The worse of it, the University keep on denying everything, they continued their lies about the school being accredited, about how they are still growing and how they have plans for us. Comfort had started making other plans, she wanted to go back to Nigeria and start over again. That was something i could not bring my self to, my mother had invested so much here already. It was getting close to our final exams for the year, i guess the school could no longer hide it. They where in so much debts they came up clean, the school has not been accredited with the Nigerian government but they are making plans to do that and they also have partnership with another well known school that has been accredited, so when we get to our final year. The other school would be the one to give us their results. Their stories where total crap. But they promised that the next year things would be more stable, classes would be stable and the accreditation problem would be sorted out. As if that was not enough, we received another blow, the school would be going back to merge with the french section it broke out from. Which ment all the friends we had here, once again we had to let them.
I told the Church i would be leaving them, they where so sad, over the months they became like my second family, the Pastor was so angry with me for not telling them on time that i would be leaving. That they would have given me a gift to send me off. The plans was that after our final exams that year we would return. But we where given a holiday of two months. Me comfort and Emmanuel promised to surely return back after the holidays, we agreed not to give up on the university and on ourselves. We started the journey together so we would fight it till the end. We never knew that would actually be the last time we would see each other.
After our final exams we said our goodbyes to those around us, because our return ment we would never see them again, me Emma and comfort promised to be in touch with each other even when we go back to Nigeria. I was exicted and at the same time very worried.
I dont know what the future holds for me, why would i start from if the unversity falls completely? From the beginning? The thought of it made me weak, what about all my mom had invested, its not like we had more than enough to waste around. All i had was hope, i hoped the University would rise, i hoped this would not be the end of my future. But right now the future doesn't really look bright for me.

Ability To Show Gratitude
***Luke 17:14-18 KJV***
***And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. [15] And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, [16] And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. [17] And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? [18] There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.***
The story above tells us about how Jesus on his way met lepers who noticed Him. These lapers must have heard about Jesus, about all the great and marvelous things He has done. hence they believed if they could get his attention, they would also be healed. They cried to Jesus from afar, thou son of David have mercy on us. If you noticed in verse fourteen (14), after they cried for mercy Jesus instantly gave them an instruction on what they should do. The bible never stated that Jesus was moved with compassion in this case, neither did He ask what they needed from him like He had done in other cases, nor did he touch them. An instruction was what was needed in this case.
Today, we would say these ten men exhibited faith, they knew who Jesus was and they believed he would save them, they trust he had the ability to restore them, they have heard so many stories about Him. Yet Jesus never said His favorite quote, a quote that He was known for, a quote that have turned the lives of so many for good.
" ***go thy way your faith has made the whole"***
Which means Our father who knows the heart of men at this moment was not after the faith of the ten lapers, the instruction given to them was a test. What these men needed for their miracle was not compassion from Christ, neither was it their believe in the power and authority of Jesus , nor was it forgiveness, was not even their faith in God. What Christ needed from them was something so simple, yet hard, something we need to neglect or feel It doesn't matter. What Christ needed from them was obidence and gratitude, A grateful heart.
And Jesus gave an instruction to them also in that verse fourteen. In those days lapers are not allowed to live within the community, they are usually found at the outskirt of the communities. when a laper is healed they are asked to see the priest who whould give the final confirmation that they are actually healed and can be allowed to come into society once again. The same way when a person shows signs of leprosy, they are kept in assolation for a certain period of time then th priest would be the one to confirm the person indeed has leprosy.
Now did you noticed that the ten lepers never got to meet the priest before they received their healing?
Many of us today are like the nine lapers who never returned, we get carried away When God shows us a glimpse of what he has in store for us. We feel we have arrived, we feel that is all what God has in store for usand we forget God in the process. We have failed the test.
Only one returned to give thanks to God, and to show gratitude.
Verse nineteen, he finally made the statment, the words that has worked so much for others, His favorite quote that has made the difference in the life of others.
***" go your way thy faith had made the whole "***
Ask yourself these question what whould happen to the other nine when they finally show themselves to the priest? Notting, because their healing has not been confirmed, they where never gratful to God
There are some problems in life that requires faith, Prayers and fasting, while there are some that just need our gratitude and Thanksgiving.
Many people feel Showing gratitude to God means they have it all
Showing gratitude does it mean i have it all, it simply means i am grateful for the little i have now
▫️ I am happy and grateful not because i am where i want to be, i am happy and grateful because i am nolonger in the position i started.
▫️ I am grateful not because the road before me is an easy one, i am grateful because i have an Heavenly father who is there anytime i call on him.
▫️ I am grateful not because things are going my way, i am grateful because i know God has a plan for me even in the mist of the storm.
▫️ I am grateful not because i have those who check on me 24/7, i am grateful because i have the Holy Spirit who is with me always
What are you grateful for?
Happy sunday guys and stay blessed.

**LIVING THE STUDENT LIFE**
**Previously**
**https://read.cash/@My_cloud/just-another-students-story-7f24802d**
After the event of the last chapter, things went back to normal, we continued our studies, faced with exams and all that. It was not easy i finally understood the student life, there was never enough money to get and do the things i needed, there was never enough food so we had to manage, we usually go to classes early and come back late sometimes. Then the news came to us that after our first exams we would be relocating to a different location, the foreign (English) section of the school nolonger wants to be partners with the french section. It was actually a good news because our new location would be abit closer to the border, which would make our journey to the border alot easier, quicker, and . And there is a possibility of us meeting alot of people which could actually speak english
***(Urghhh finally hahaha)***
In Benin Republic most of the universities which had foreign department for English students, are not actually accredited with Our Nigeria government so which means after graduation over there , their results are not accepted in Nigeria or for National service. Only few Schools are actually accredited for that. And before my acceptance into the university i was currently studying, i was told my school was one of the few accredited, but i still had doubts.
After exams the day finally came, i was super exicted, for months i have not been to church based on the fact that i cant understand their language, i belived i would be able to a Church there and if possible join their choir and who knows make new friends from there
***(okay besides the fact that i came from a religious background, i am also a drummer. As in i love drumming with passion)***
I was one of the few selected to go see the school and carry some files there, okay dont get me wrong, it was not a privilege in anyway that i was selected, the others just sacrifice me so they could avoid the work. Hahaha. Getting to the place, the new setup was actually nice, this also ment the school had to set up a new hostel for students. After that i got back to the house and told my roommates about the new school building, we where all excited. Tho not for the fact that we had our own building, but for the fact that we no longer had to spend much to get to the border. We made the necessary arrangements, said our goodbyes to the few friends we had made over the months and we moved. Its not always easy moving to a new environment, it means making new friends, trying to adjust to a new environment and also the pain of loosing bonds already made at the old place, but thats life for you we move on.
remember i was one of the few who helped in carrying some of the school documents from the old building to the new one? Well from that moment on i started having doubts about the school. It might not be actually accredited like they say. But i hoped and prayed that i was wrong. The owner of our new hostel was a lady who was kind of scary but also friendly, she was a Muslim by religion who had a lot of kids that i cant even remember their numbers. But i remembered she had two young girls amoung her kids, age around 4 and 5 they where so cute and funny, lol tho they didnt speak English as well but they had an elder brother who speaks English very well, because he works for a mobile brand that requires the use of English this time me and Emmanuel where roommates ,while comfort had her own room just opposite us. I had hopes of getting a job but it was kind of difficult for we foreign students because we had to be able to speak at least French to actually get a good job. The University having a new building should have marked the start of a new beginning , or at least that what we hoped but we where in a for a rude awakening. It was only the beginning of things worse and the fall of the unversity as a whole.

Road To Happiness
*Am pretty sure we might have heard some statement like . The road to happiness, the journey to happiness etc*
Many people today believe happiness is a destination that one needs to reach in life, some believe happiness is a goal that all humans want to achieve. I have even heard some say happiness is a stage in life that one must obtain. And one conmon mistake we all make is the fact that we calculate happiness based on our possession, we feel only the wealthy can be happy, only when i have it all can i truely be happy, only when i achieve my goals and dreams can i find true happiness. Based on this mindset many go through hell just to achieve their goal, humans Today do all sort of things even take jobs they hate as long as it pays them well they would obtain happiness, many work 24/7 Just to obtain that happiness, to get to their final destination which is a happy and fullfilled life. The quest for happiness has become the cause of our sadness.
**What Is Happiness?**
Happiness is not a destination, its the journey itself, happiness is not a goal, rather its the process, happiness is not the future, its the present. Happiness is not based on your material possessions, its how rich you are at heart. I used to think i needed to get a good job, be financially independent, change my wardrobe and settle down before i could enjoy my relationship and life. But the truth is that in life, problems never end, there is always an issue that would need your attention, there is always a problem that needs to be solved. If you keep on waiting for all these to end before you can be happy, be prepared to wait your whole life. Now dont get me wrong, having material possessions, dreams, goals and ambitions are important, but it should not be a major factor to gain happiness. I lost my relationship and so much more because i failed to see the present, i was so bent of securing our future happiness that i failed to see what was right in front of me. I was content with the fact that i would one day achieve my dreams and goals that i was blinded to the point i could not see the blessings in front of me. Happiness is now not the future.
Happiness is about enjoying the moment, its about enjoying the process not the result, your goal is to be successful, enjoy the process, the road may be tough and rough, libe your life to the fullest, dont wait till you get there before you can be happy, live each day like its your last, enjoy every minute of it. be contented with the little you have, the funny thing about happiness is, if you cant appreciate the little you have now, you can never appreciate the big things. Be contented with the little you have, do things you love doing.
Another mistake we often make is that we place the source of our happiness on one person or on a particular thing. Love your self. Be happy, you dont have to gain it all to be happy, enjoy every process of life no matter the situation you are going through, remember the problem is not the current situation you fnd yourself, it is your mindset towards it. Whatever you see and take as a problem becomes that way.
Try to make others happy along the way, make memories, people may forget the things you said, they may even forget ysome of the things you did for them. But they would always remember does happy moments, because that time you shined brightest in their lives. The future is now, , how you live your life and the decisions you take now determines how you would see your life in the Future.
i know it might actually be hard to be happy in difficult situations but be happy, like they say, if life gives you lemons make lemonade.
****Short Word Of Encouragement****
***I am happy not because i am where i want to be, rather i am happy because i am nolonger in the position i started, i am half way where i want to be.***
***I am happy not because i have everything i need, i am happy because, i may not have it all right now but i am contented with the little i have, that it would one day be more than enough for me.***
***I am happy not because things are going my way right now, i am happy because there is hope in Christ that i can overcome every obstacle that comes my way.***
***I happy not because i am the most loved person on earth, i am happy because i have an Heavenly father who loves me beyond words.***
***I am happy not because i have someone who always check up on me 24/7 or belives in me totally, i am happy because God knows i am strong enough to stand alone because He is by my side, so i need no one else.***
***Have a blessed day guys and be happy***
Just Another Students Story
**CHAPTER FIVE**
**AWAY FROM HOME**
All my life i had never spent a festive period away from home, but i was about too. School had been stressful but i kept pushing, it finally came to Easter period, normally in high school (secondary) we where always given a break that period, like two weeks or three weeks in some cases. I felt that would be the case here. We where told to even come for classes on Easter Friday. We had to beg and beg before the school finally agreed to give us the Easter weekend as break, which means we would resume class on tuesday after Easter monday. I would have love to travel back to Nigeria to spend the Easter, but i didnt have the cash for that kind of movement and the break was even too short for that. So this would be my frist holiday away from home.
Finally i could rest, but there was an issue, we where out of food, which means another trip of going to the border is required. This time Comfort agreed to go, the plan was that she would visit her uncle in Lagos
***(a city in Nigeria, with Benin Republic sharing its borders)***
Which means she would go on thursday and come back on friday, so o gave her My ATM card, for her to help me make some withdraws. It would be a waste if i decide to go to the border if she was also heading there.
***Besides today is today she would come back on friday right? The idea was perfect.....***
Comfort left on thursday afternoon. I could almost taste the things i would eat when the money finally came the next day. There was actually no ingredients in the house except for raw onion and groundnut oil. But hey comfort is coming back the next day, i can wait. I came form a religious family so fasting was not an issue. Its just one day.
I read alot of books on my phone and slept, Firday came which was Good Friday or Easter Friday. The expected day came sooner that i expected, i was exicted. The biggest mistake we made was the fact that we forgot to collect comfort's Nigerian phone number so there was no way we could reach her in Nigeria. We waited till noon, there was no sign of Comfort coming. I gave my self hope that she would be back by evening. The evening came, there was still No sign of comfort. I was already getting weak, i had not eaten since thursday. My friend and roommate Emma was already complaining but there was notting we could do other than to keep on waiting.
Saturday morning came, the hunger has really dealt with us, i was so weak to the point that i couldn't get up, i Just lay in bed reading novels on my phone, i couldn't even hold the phone, i had to rest in on the wall hahaha. I took a bottle of water by my side. The only thing i actually stood up to do was take my bath which was like hell because i was so dizzy 😵 . There was still no sign of Comfort
Emmanuel could no longer take, left the house in anger, after some minutes he came back with some vegetables, and was like David look what i found, lets prepare this. Looking at him i replied, where did you get this from and how sure are you if its eatable! He said his mom usually use it in cooking some native soups so he knows how to eat it and he picked them from a farm outside. Hahahah he actually stole someone's crops lol.
Remember i said we had no ingredients besides raw onion and groundnut oil? Where Me and Emma went to beg our neighbors for salt but based on the fact that they dont even understand French, rather they speak their native language, we spent over five minutes tryin to explain what we needed until we finally gave up. Emma decided to cook the vegetables with just onion and oil.
I have never been a fan of onion, i dont really like the taste, so most times i usually remove them when eating, and there are times i eat them. So i guess it depends on how am feeling that day. Emma brought the vegetables and right then seeing him walking down with the plate of unsalted vegetables, he was glorious! Before my eyes Emma was my savior..... That was how i felt until i tasted it.
***I found a new respect for salt and other Spices, trust me salt is hero that needs to be respected hahaha***
taking one spoon into my mouth i quickly stood up and left the house, i thought to my self God is this how am going to die? Out of hunger? All this while i was battling with how i could swallow what was in my mouth, i almost died just from the tast. Salt is in deed powerful. I was going crazy. Emma ate all the vegetables i dont know how he did it and i dont care to know, but i couldn't.
Easter sunday came, we came up with a plan to follow one of our neighbors to their church, it was a Catholic Church. They dont actually speak English but our reason for going is based on the fact that we hoped they would call us for easter dinner since we all went out together. The sermon was short
***(no i didnt understand a single word they said hahaha)***
after service, we went to their house, in the name of we want to teach their kids little English but all we want was food, give us some food please. We went back to our apartment without any food instead they gave us some chilled fruit juice
***(hey its better than nothing right? But food was what we really needed)***
Monday finally came, at that moment i had given hope on Comfort, i was even too weak to read novels, Emma kept on eating the vegetables, i still dont know how he did it without actually going craz or maybe he was already crazy enough to eat it. Hahaha.
monday afternoon came, i was already in another realm of hungerthen i heard Emma's exicted voice from afar, actually he was close too me but it sounded far lol. I choose to ignore him, until i heard it. it was music to my ear, a voice filled with melody that lifted my spirits, the voice alone was heaven. Comfort was back.
***Actually i imagined things that way about comfort because at that moment i nolonger saw her face but all i could see was my money walking to me hand open... Hahahaha***
she started explaining how her uncle begged her to spend the weekend with them and that she was not aware notting was left in the house, i didnt even pay attention to all that, i was After my money. She finally gave it to me, before i knew what was happening i found my self at our street junction buying food, till now i still wondered what gave me the strength and how i even got there. I came back i saw Comfort and Emmanuel looking for me, they said i left the house like i was not normal that they where scared. In the end we laughed about it, but honestly i almost died from hunger.
welcome to school life i said to my self..

**CHAPTER FOUR**
**NEW BEGINNINGS**
**previously**
**https://read.cash/@My_cloud/just-another-student-story-eb72ee50**
For the past week, life in Benin Republic had been okay, we easily adjusted to the climate and weather since it was not so different from ours. I had always heard the saying that life in the University is touch, its never easy to manage your resources away from home, the money is never enough and the school task can be really stressful. That had always been one of my fear but i was also exicted about the experience. I had to stay without the use of internet all these while cause i discovered i needed to buy another sim that has the capacity to access the internet. For someone that likes being online alot, it was like hell for me. We had no television all any means to watch something. All i had right then where the novels on my phone
***(lol yes i was introduced to reading novels after my high school final exams and trust me it saved my life from boredom later on)***
Now i know some of you might have wondered, how the heck do i learn in a French country when i dont even understand their language. The school was a small private university with little students that had a French and English section for foreigners like myself. I quickly adjusted to the University life or so i thought. And adjusting to a new country and life style made things a little bit worse. There where things i needed to cope with, like the fact that we could not make use of the ATM machines within the country, so anytime we needed to withdraw money we had to travel to the border just to withdraw little cash while the transport was abit expensive. We had to cope with the idea that if we needed to buy Nigerian goods we could also get them at the border.
During the process of learning about their unique currency, i tried experimenting my newly acquired skills without fully understanding how it worked. I decided to buy foreign slippers. Hahaha i was cheated like crazy without my knowledge and the worse part i even thanked him hahaha.
As days went by, reality began to hit me, our currency which was once higher than theirs has droped massively to the point that both currencies where almost on per. And their things where freaking expensive a small sized coke in my country which was 120 naira back then, we could get it for 400cfa which was around 250 naira, so because of the fall of our currency we where actually spending much.
I didnt really come from a well to do family so i had to manage the little i had, and that also ment skipping meals and depriving my self from certian things. I finally got a new sim that had access to the internet but data was another issue, it was expensive, i had to manage the little i had. Which made me loose touch with alot of friends online, because i was not online for months, it was painful tho i even ended loosing my crush to someone else, which broke me, but thats life for you. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. I still could not speak French but we had a French class which helped alot, i was able to learn the words i needed to buy minor provision.
School life wasn't easy, there where days i didnt eat before classes i had to eat out, projects and class works that required the use of internet was also becoming an issue. But hey i had my friends to make things livly. My roommates Emmanuel and comfort where fun to be with, tho it took some time for comfort to loosen up, but you cant really blame her, she is a girl amoung two guys. Things where abit rough but i could handle it. I thought to my self, hey is this the school life everyone talked about? It isn't as difficult as they made it to be little did i know i was beginning my journey. Our food stuff began finish which ment we needed to travel to the border to get some cash and buy one or two things that would last us for some days or weeks.
Me and my roomies agreed that o should be the one to go to the border, till now i still wondered why i was selected but anyways i agreed. Traveling down to the border was not difficult tho it was a long journey and it was actually my first time going to the border alone since we first crossed it. I was able to find my way down
***( yes and i did it without actually getting lost hahaha)***
i was able to cross over, made the withdrawal and find my way back tho it was abit difficult cause the officers refused to let me pass even when they knew i was a student, i had to pay first and the whole place was different based on the fact that the first time i passed there was in the nite. I found my way back into Benin Republic. I had to find my back home. I told the bus where i was going and he said something that i believed it ment get in we are heading to that direction... Hahaha. I jumped in and began the journey, after awhile on the road, it got to a point i dont recall passing earlier, but i felt okay they migjt be trying to avoid traffic so he is taking a shorter route. I kept focus on my surroundings, seeing places i have never seen before, i quickly told the bus to stop me, i came down, looking round my surroundings for about a minute, it came to me....... I was once again lost
***(hahaha i bet you where expecting this to happen again)***
There was a difference this time, tho i was abit worried and scared but my mind was calm on like the first time because this time i knew the name of where i was heading to and what it looked like. I foud a bike after a long time trying to communicate with each other, he said something i believe was that he knew the location. We agreed on a price
Lol no i was not cheated this time, ***because i finally had an idea of how their currency works.***
i finally got to my destination around after 7 in the evening, my roommates where worried but happy i was finally back. Life is Benin Republic was not that bad i thought to my self, i could adjust to it and school life is not as hard as people made it to be.. Or so i thought, the journey has just began. The storm had only just began.

**CHAPTER THREE**
**LOST IN A STRANGE LAND**
**previously**
**https://read.cash/@My_cloud/just-another-students-story-9d791323**
I was lost in a country i knew notting about, i had no access to the internet to even try using google map, because my number has not been registered to get internet access yet. Even if i could access the internet i had no idea of what to search for. Everyone around me could speak only French, no one could understand much of the things i said, which made me regret not paying attention during french class. The bike man who carried me was trying to communicate with me but the little i could understand was that he said he would locate the place. Lol dont ask me how i was able to understand that, in desprate times you can do almost anything hahaha...
We drove for some minutes, we drove pass their national football ball stadium then we got to a bridge. He stopped and told me to come down that this is the place, i was confused i couldn't find the others and clearly there are no buildings around. He asked for his money, i paid him not knowing he had already been paid by the agents, i even gave him more than what i was supposed to because i had no idea of their currency.
Feeling lost, and alone i was close to the point of tears, so many crazy thoughts to crossed my mind, i started thinking of how i would start sleeping under bridges and begging for food lol, ( dont mind me i was still young so i had a lot of crazy imagination). I started rooming round the bridge asking for help, trying to see who would understand me but i found no one. The luck i had was that after i got a sim card for calling, i called my sister who was schooling at the other town so she had my number. The agents not having my number called my sister to tell her i was missing.
At that point i had already given up hope, i was in a state that my mind didnt even go to try contact my sister. She called me and started shouting about how i wanted to give her heart attack, she accused me of running away lol. I had to calm her down and explain what really happened. After everything she texted me the agents number so i called him and he told me to stop another bike so they could talk to him and direct him. I did exactly that and finally i got there where the previous bike stopped me was actually close to the place. It was there i later found out the previous bike has been paid but he still collected money from me even more than he should have and left me in a place i knew notting about to sort my self out.
The school actually rented an apartment for the three of us which was just a few blocks walk away from the school (which we have not seen yet) . The apartment was a small one with one room, a living room and bathroom with a small space we used for kitchen. Since we where both guys me and Emmanuel had to move to the living room and made it our sleeping space then allowed comfort the only lady in our midst to have the room so she could have some privacy.
adjusting was not that easy tho, every other person either speaks french or their natice language, but they where really friendly. We tried making friends even if we really didnt understand them, we also got to know ourselves as we wait for school to resume.
Every thing was going according to plan or so i thought.....

**CHAPTER TWO**
**FIRST JOURNEY TO BENIN REPUBLIC**
**Previously**
**https://read.cash/@My_cloud/just-another-students-story-2b66f77e**
I was exicted about my admission to the university, and the best part it was outside my Country Nigeria. I began to make arrangements on what i need and when to set off, i had so many thoughts on what to expect over there, they had a completely different currency and i heard their main language was french not English which made me remembered how i never paid attention in french class in high school (secondary school) lol.
The was to meet an agent in Edo state (a different state from where i actually live in my country Nigeria) on a Saturday, then on Sunday we would take off, we traveling by bus. I got to Edo state and meet up with the agent who later carried 2 other students who got admission into the school, a lady and a guy named Comfort and Emmanuel or Emma for short.
Sunday morning we where on our way, the journey took hours, we had to get to Lagos state, one of the major and busiest commercial states in Nigeria. Getting there we need to take another bus that would carry us to the border. So the agent asked me and Emma to take a bike to the next bus station, why he would go with The lady Comfort. We took a bike and on our way going we got lost, lol yes we couldn't find our way, the bike man who took us has forgotten where the park was located. I began to panic like this was not what i planned for, i have not even been to school am getting lost in my own country, lol luckily for us i still had some battery on my phone, the agent called us and had to locate us. We got to the part and took a bus that would lead us to the border, which was another long journey on its own. We finally got too the border at night around 9:00PM. on getting there another issue came up.
Being a young teen who has never traveled outside the country before or even thought about it, i had no travel documents, but we where told that was not an issue that since its an African country sharing border with us it can be sorted out as long as we can present proof that we where given admission inot their schools over there. But the issue now is that we got there too late, and the officials we where suppose to talk too has left for the night.
It took us about an hour before we where able to sort everything out, being the first time i had actually left my country i had so many thoughts on what to expect like tall buildings with crazy designs, cars like i have never seen before etc. But my dreams was destroyed instantly. Lol there was no difference , the air was the same, the roads where the same, notting special. I dont know what i was expecting but i was dissapointed lol.
Finally i was in Benin Republic for the first time, based on time and the fact that the school has not prepared our hostels yet, and the school was actually on the other side of town. We had to go spend the nite at one of our Lecturer's house Mr Victor (note this man would play a major role in my life later on)
There are two major cities in Benin Republic, Porto novo and Cotonou. The school in located in Cotonou. The country is actually a very small and developing country, its no where near as big as my own country Nigeria, and i would say Nigeria is more developed in most areas. But they had good water, and the most important good and stable power supply which Nigeria lacks.
we spent almost a week at Mr victors place me and Emmanuel, the lady had to sleep at another place being a girl. We where told the school is still looking for accommodation and making other preparations. I had to buy a new sim so i could contact my mom. Their call charge to Nigeria was freaking expensive but i had no choice. After a week plus it was finally time to move. The school was done setting up things.
We all met at the park, my self, Emma, comfort and 3 other agents. We took a bus which stop at the entrance of Cotonou. We where about to take a bike to our hostel, we decided to share it two on one bike, an agent would be with each of us, since we where new. Suddenly the police just came with their loud sirens and intimidating heights and uniform, they where speaking French so i couldn't understand what they where saying. But i think the issue was its an offence to carry 2 persons on one bike. I could remember i was so scared, what ran through my mind was my first time coming to another country to study, hsve not even seen the school and am about to be arrested. Where do i go from here, what do i tell my mom lol.
Lucky us they let us go but we had to use one bike, i was finally able to breath. I had escaped that trouble but little did i know i was about to enter another. The agents gave each bike men the directions of place and made sure they knew the directions.
We started moving, i was amazed by the country, it was actually nice, with good roads, tho it looked abit similar to where i was coming from, but the difference could be noted, it was beautiful, they lived a free and easy life then it occurred to me..... Oh crap we have been driving for minutes now i have not seen the others i was ment to follow, i was lost...
Just Another Students Story
**CHAPTER ONE**
***INTRODUCTION***
I still remember my journey as a student, it was not an easy one i went through so many ups and downs. There where times i felt it would not be possible for me to actually make it. Lol and there where some crazy and hilarious moments but in the end i made. Why dont we go back to how it all began.
My name is David, and it was the final year of highschool (secondary school) back then we have never really experienced life. We all had high hopes and dreams, i wanted to also study at the Nigerian Defense Academy so o could join the Air Force, i had friends who planned on going out of the country for further studies. But we all had one more obstacle to overcome, which was our final exams. The time for exams came, after writing,i was waiting for results. During that process i found out i could not apply for the Nigerian Defense Academy because they need does who had results at that time. And i was still expecting mine so o had to let go of that dream for now.
During my school days, amoung the major courses needed, i have always been bad at maths. When it comes to calculations i suck at it, so that has always been my weak point. Final results finally came which is our WAEC result (West Africa Examination Council) and as expected i made all my papers except maths. I was totally lost and heart broken. Most schools in Nigeria requires a pass or credit in maths for you to be accepted, so even with all the good grades i had in other courses the result was useless because there was no maths.
I could remember i cried for days, even the University i applied for since i could not go to my desired one, has given me admission. I passed the exams but with my WAEC result that admission was useless. to make matters worse my friends kept calling me and telling me about how they did well in their results and their plans for university, i was feeling left out and out of the race, so of them began to laugh and mock me behind my back which only made the situation worse. Having only my mom and siblings after the death of my father, my mother was seriously pissed about it, she shouted and talked about how i wasted her money, about me not being serious with my studies, i felt guity about it and could no longer take it all so i decided to run away from home.
if they could give an award to a runaway who stayed away from home for the shortest period of time it would have been me . Hahaha i actually ran away from home for just 2hrs, yes you read it correctly, just two hours, lol crazy right?
my sister called me and talked sense into me, and by the time i was hungry i decided to go back home, i didnt really have it in me to hurt my mom in that way. I had always been this shy and reserved kind of guy, tho when it comes to something that needs to be done i do my very best. So after running away for two hours, i went back home, and my mom called me, talked some sense into me and prayed with me.
The next day my mom called me and said son lets go to Edwin Clarks unversity and check it out, still feeling down i agreed after all its not like they are going to take me and i missed their exams. Getting there we looked round the University, it was not on section yet, all their equipments where quit new, we where called to their head office and my mom told them my issue, i had made all my papers except maths. After everything the school agreed that they can only all allow me study English language and then after one year, i should rewrite my high school final exams to obtain a credit in maths. My mom agreed, it was better than notting, tho it was not what i had in mind to study. But there was another problem. Their entrance exams was over.
I was given a chance tho, they asked to go to their exams halls and i would be given a test if i should pass i would be given automatic acceptance into the school and i passed. One would think all my problems where finally over. Something else came up.
The school fees was just too much and i was given 3 days to pay before lectures kicks off. I had to once again let go of that opportunity, i was depressed at this stage. I had two admission in two different schools but could do notting about it. I made up my mind that i would have to wait another year again before i could try my luck, but my mom never gave up even when i did.
By chance my sister met a friend who told her about a university in Benin Republic. I went ahead to take their extrance exams which was actually on my birthday, lol so instead of eating cakes and hoping for gifts i was in the exam hall on my birthday. The result finally came and i was accepted, the best part was the fact that i was given a space of one year to makeup for my maths, i was also allowed to study what i wanted and the school fees was not crazy high and it was even in another country. I was super excited.
The next time my friends asked me my plans, i knew they didnt really care, they just wanted to find a reason to laugh at me. I gave them the shock of their lives. The guy who had no hope of going into any unversity has gotten admission into 3 universities lol, things are finally going my way or so i thought
***To Be Continued...***
A Result of Carelessness
***Genesis 25:29-34 KJV***
***And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint: [30] And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage ; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom. [31] And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright. [32] And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? [33] And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. [34] Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.***
The story above is a very popular one, when we talk or hear about it, we see how smart Jacob was, right from birth he had been consistent in his efforts to obtain the position as first son, and finally his efforts paid off. When we come across this passage, we see it as how Jacob fought to manifest his destiny, we would classify Jacob as clever, conning and Esau being careless. Today lets look at the stroy from another angle.
Esau was the first son of Issac, he is known to be hardworking hence he was always busy on the field, out of hunger, he agreed to exchange his position as first son to his twin brother Jacob. The reason Esau agreed to this somewhat ridiculous deal was the fact that he felt it was just a tittle, he can never be actually replaced, his parents would still regard him as their first born, so the deal would be just between him and Jacob. Esau was careless on his decisions, he felt it ment notting. If Esau had not agreed, Jacob would have no courage to steal his blessings later on.
The story is not just about how Jacob stole everything from Esau, its also about how Esau lost everything in that very moment. For those of us that have been through this passage, when you read down you will discover how Jacob pretended to be Esau in other to steal the blessings from him with the help of his mother.
***Genesis 27:38 KJV***
***And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept.***
Clearly you could see the pain in Esau, he had to beg in tears just so he could at least get some blessings from his father. I was so moved by this part, out of carelessness, a tittle he felt never mattered he lost it all. Tho we may say in the end Esau became rich, he was able to break out. But have you noticed his name has been replaced and erased for generations to come?
When the children of Israel pray to God, we hear God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.... What Esau felt mattered not made him loose his position in history.
Relating this story to our daily lives today, there are certain actions or decisions we make or take out of carelessness, we feel they dont matter, without realizing that the end results may not be seen now but it would surely come later on. Looking back in life i have come to realize that i have made alot of decisions i am not proud of, some out of peer pressure, some out of immaturity and some just mainly because i felt they dont matter, which i have actually paid the price for
Before you take any decision dont be in a hurry, think about it, pray about it be calm and ask yourself this.....
where would this decision lead me to in few months time.
#remember, its not always about the present, our future matters
have a blessed nite/day
Creating a Better Generation
I believe the major goal and aim of every family, community or Nation is to create a better generation. A generation stronger and better than the present, hence we see various forms of developments being done in our community to make life easy and better, we see technology beyound our imagination to create a better standard of living. Even schools today have developed many morden forms of learning, to give our children the best education. Even with all these developments, we still find it hard to achieve our dream of creating a better generation, the developments and technologies we created has now become a major tools for the destruction of our future generations. Many feel we have to be someone big or do something great to be able impact or make a difference in the world today, but the truth of the matter is that even the little efforts in the family matters alot, it plays a long role.
We are going to look at creating a better generation in terms of the family. Today we hear various news about suicide cases, how our young ones commit suicide because they find it hard to face the results of wrong choices or rejection they have faced.
As a parent, your major role should be to educate your child not just in morals and good behavior but also how to achieve success at an early age and also be able deal with failure. Many children today find it hard to handle rejection, i once heard a story of a guy who committed suicide based on the fact his crush rejected him, i have also seen cases where many give up on their goals and dreams after experiencing difficulties or loss. What about those that killed themselves because they had little likes on social medias or are going through cyber bullying?
I believe in other to create a better generation, our kids should be thought at an early stage not just how to succeed but also how to deal with failure, they should know that failure or rejection is not the end, but also a process of learning and growing to be a better version of yourself. Many parents shy away from this topic cause they feel they want the best for their child, so they tend to teach then only how to succeed. As parent we should also strive to be better roll models for our kids to emulate, because what we fail to understand is that what ever character or traits our kids exhibit is based on what they have seen on heard at home, it is does strong basic training that also help them in dealing with peer pressure. Those trainning would also be what they would impact into the society in return.
Proverbs 22:6 KJV
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Remember, failure is never the end, its just an opportunity to learn more, rejection does not mean its over, keep trying until you finally achieve it, or in most cases something better. In every road to success there must surly be ups and down, because notting good comes easy
True Happiness
First and foremost, i would like to say a happy new month to everyone on read.cash, wishing you all the best on the second month of the year 2021. As we all know February is a special month because of a particular date, which is February 14th (Valentine's Day). So i would also wish all the couples on read.cash the best on that day 😉. And to the singles like my very self, lol dont worry, dont stress your self about it, on that day, just enjoy yourself and the right one would come at the right time. Because we are in the month of Valentine, my first article for the new month would be relationship related. We are going to look into true happiness in terms of relationship.
over the past few weeks, i have seen alot of post about how you shouldn't be single on the 14th of February, i saw some post on what they would expect on Valentine's day from their loved ones. Which actually put alot of people into pressure, most especially those that are , lol my self included, like if you have read any of my previous articles, you will remember that my relationship of over 3 years now just ended.
Now many people believe they would find true happiness when they have someone by their side, they belive true happiness can only come when there is someone who understands them, appreciate them, and shows them love. Hence the pressure to start dating. The pressure to have a partner, the rush to be in a relationship before February 14th. These things can indeed bring happiness but at the same time it cannot. Before going into a relationship, you should ask yourself why am i going into this?
Relationship is not just about benifits, what they would gain from the relationship, or the intimate moments, or even the feeling of not being alone. ( we would talk more on relationships on the 14th of February, so stay tuned)
Many of our young ones today are into relationships for the wrong reasons, and what happens when they dont find that true happiness? They end the relationship and jump into another one. One thing we need to understand is that before you can get true happiness from your loved ones or partners, you need to find it alone.
One thing we should understand as singles is that your key to happiness is tied to no one but yourself. No one can understand you better than your self. No one can love you more than yourself, no one can encourage or motivate you better than yourself So before you go into a relationship, learn to love yourself, understand yourself, know your weak points and learn to deal with it. Be happy, make yourself happy, and if you can do this, it would be so easy to share that feeling with someone else.
The reason why most relationships crash is also based on the fact that we expect too much from our partners, remember i said no one knows you better than yourself. So if you dont know how to make yourself happy, you will begin to find faults on any little efforts made by your partner. Learn to appreciate the little things in your life, and you will be able to notice the little things.
have this at the back of your mind, staring a relationship is not about what you gain from it, its not about your happiness, its not about your own relationship goals, rather its about both parties, its about putting the interest of the other person over yours.
one mistake we should never make is to rush into relationships out of peer pressure, out let our emotions control our actions. I once rushed into a relationship out of peer pressure, i was feeling left out, i ended up making wrong and rash decisions.
as we await Valentine's day, i wish you all the best, 😉❤
#remember. To feel true happiness, learn how to love yourself and when the right one comes, share that wonderful feelings with them.
Never Give Up
***Galatians 6:9***
***KJVAnd let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.0***
In the world today, the month January could be seen as a month that plays a very important role in the year. Being the first month of the year it marks the beginning of that new year, it marks the beginning of how we expect that year to be, the blessings we hope to get in the new year, the goals we hope to achieve for the new year and how smooth we believe the year would be for us. There is usually this rush, many try to settle school issues, or sort out other outstanding debts from last year. What happens if the first month of the year does not actually go as planned?
In life we are bound to face disappointments in one area or the other, there are times where things may not actually go as planned or the way we expect it to go. Thats life for you, its filled with ups and downs, once faced we difficulties or situations we feel are beyond our control, we tend to loose confidence in ourselves and in God. This is where many give up.
As Christians we should understand that being a Christian is not a ticket to a smooth and easy life, but the difference between us and the unbelievers is the assurance in christ that we would surely overcome whatever situation we find ourselves.
Many of us today tend to give up easily when we are faced with certain difficulties,we give up with excuses like ***if i cant do it at this early stage, surely am going to fail when i get to the advance stage, if the first month of the year is this tough, that means this new year is going to be something else. If i am experiencing failure or difficulties in my new business, surely notting good is going to come out of it later on***.
There are certain times you might feel so down, that we can nolonger hear the Holy Spirit in us.
Food for thought
Are you feeling sad? Its okay to feel that way, feeling sad or depressed does not make you weak, many people at this stage feel unworthy to be around others. They feel they are not good enough to hold a particular position. Feeling sad about a particular issue or situation you find your self simply means you are human, you have human emotions, things happening around you still affects you, so dont let anyone look down on you for feeling that way, even the ones that are able to control how they feel also went through ups and down that you are not aware of.
Feeling like you cant go on? It simply means you are human. As humans we might find ourselves in situations or conditions where we feel like we can nolonger go on, where we feel like giving up totally and in most cases we feel like the weakest link amoung your peers for feeling that way, we tend to feel like we are loosers for wanting to give up, but its actually okay to feel that way. The problem is not the fact that we feel thay way, rather it becomes a problem when we let does negative emotions swallow us, it becomes a problem when we choose to remain in that state and not do anything to come out of it.
Things are not going as smooth as you planned? Its going to be okay. Like i said earlier, things may not actually go as planned, we have no control over what life brings our way, but we can choose how we accept it.
*****My past experience*****
On friday morning i woke up feeling down, i was sad, angry, depressed, worried and tired. I had so many things on my mind, am dealing with the aftermath of a breakup. A relationship of over 3 years ended badly, and she doesn't want to even be friends. The online business i invested in crashed last week, with some of my money still in. I experienced loss on other areas. I have this passion for graphic designs and i decided to take some classes on YouTube, December last year, with the hope that latest first week of January i should start up my own graphic design gig, but its the last week of the month January and i still haven't gotten any better at it. I was feeling like a complete looser, am a graduate with no stable source of income still searching for a Job. While i see does younger than me spending cash. I felt lost, alone, like no one would actually understand me, i hated my self for being weak, for feeling that way. Like i should know better, still i cried, my life is not going the way i wanted it. I felt like i had lost everything.
so that morning, i went to the church, i just sat down, i was in no mood to pray, i kept on thinking about how much of a failure i was and how much i had lost. Then it came to me, i began to think back, i remembered how i lost my dad but somehow my family still survived, i how i failed in high school and i had to repeat the class, how many thought it would be the end to my story. But i overcame that and got into the University. I remembered, how i had to stay for days without food in school, beacuse i had to manage the little i had. But i still overcame that. I remembered when i was in my final year, and there was no money to pay my final fees, i still overcame that. I remembered when i had to prepare for my National Service after graduation. I succeeded after so many ups and down. I looked back to where i started, how i started and my current situation.
yes i have not gotten what i want yet, i am not in the position i hope to be, but at the same time i am not in the position i started. I remembered the little things i have been able to achieve, i nolonger felt sad, i nolonger felt depressed, because i realized that even if i may not be whete i want to be right now, i am nolonger where i started, which means i might face set backs right now, but i will get there, as long as i dont give up. And i heard my inner voice asking me
do you still think you are a failure?
Instead of worring about your present situation or how things are falling apart, I would like you to sitback and in the next 10 minutes think back to where you are coming from, where it all started, where you are now, all the past problems God has seen you through, and all the achievements no matter how small he has given to you. Then ask yourself this question
What makes the current situation any different in the sight of God?
Always remember that everone has their own set time, dont live your life based on other people's time.
#never give up...
Stronger Than You Think.
The year 2020 has been a tough one for many of us around the world. Coming into a new year many of us belive things would be better, all the problems and worries of last year would just disappear and 2021 would bring new beginnings, new opportunities.
The first month of the year, in a way marks how the remaining part of the year would or should be like. And many of us had plans for how it should, how we expect it to be, we have set goal we hoped to obtain in this month. And as the first month of the year January is about to come to an end, we begin to face reality, some problems of 2020 still affects us. Things are not actually going exactly the way you wanted it. And based on this we tend to feel sad, weak, afraid, worried.
***Its okay to feel all these emotions, it simply means we are humans with human emotions, but i would like to remind you, dont give up, you are stronger than you think.***
For me last year has been one of the worse years for me, reality hit me hard, the COVID issue came like a thief in the night and damaged alot of things, then there was the lockdown. Despite all there, i lost a relationship of over 3 to 4 years, it ended badly, so imagine going through an economic meltdown with an heart break. Lol i mean in most cases during breakup what keeps us motivated is the fact that we are going to prove to our Ex how successful we are without them, how in shape and happy we are. But thats not possible at the moment. Anyways slowly things began to pick up, i invested into an online business, was gainning profits and introduced more people into it, tho i was still in pains, cause this was someone i had imagined spending the rest of my life with. But i invested all does pains in growing my self economically. That was as at December 2020.
2021 the breakup still being fresh in my mind, it even got worse, she decided to even stop talking to me totally. I focused more on my self, i felt things where actually going my way for the first time. then it happened. The online business i was into crashed, the news was that the CEO ran with our money, money worth over 117 billion naira. Everything around me began to fall, all my dreams and hope i had, i no longer saw any possibility, depression began to creep in, the lost of the love or my life came back fresh, cause there was nothing to distract me again. I felt lost, confused, afraid, angry. Yesterday i sat down for hours thinking about my life and what i have lost. I saw my selt as a complete failure.
Then it came to me, i remembered all that i have been able to overcome over the years, the lost of my dad, school life, heart breaks, and so much more, i looked back from where i started from and where i currently am right now, i thought about where i want to be, am no where near there but my hope was renewed, because i realized, even if things are not going my way right now, even if it looks like i may have lost everything right now, thinking back on where i came from, and the things i had overcome, what makes my present condition any different? I will surely overcome. There are still so many things i have set in place, even if i have not see the profit yet, i know one day i would get there.
***Feeling sad? Its okay to feel sad***
***Feeling depressed? Its part of our human emotions***
***Feeling weak? It only means you are human***
***Things are not going your way? Its going to be okay***
Instead of worring over your present situation or stressing yourself on how to overcome, i would like you to sitback and in 5 minutes think back to where you are coming from, how the journey started, and the level you are right now, every other thing you have overcame over the years, all the blessings God has given to you. Then ask yourself what makes the current situation any different?
it may not be easy right now, but there is always a way, keep pushing forward, be consistent in your faith and efforts, trust God.
Remember there is always a lesson to learn from every situation we find ourselves, be it or bad, just dont let your emotions blind you from learning the lessons.
Have a blessed filled day.
Was It Love?
many of us today might have been through one breakup or the other, or gone through a relationship we felt is not productive hence we had to let go, or in most cases our partners had to call the final decision of ending it.
Most cases we find it hard to actually let go all in the name of
***" i still love my ex, i still have feelings for him/her, i cant find someone else to fill that voild we feel after a breakup"***
based on this feelings, we try so hard to get them back, to make fall in love with you all over again. Then end up getting hurt again and again. In some cases it is actually true love, and both parties need to truly understand each other, their weaknesses and strength, and how to work round them.
In most cases we tend to want to get back to our ex not actually out of love " tho we feel its love but its actually not" but rather out of fear. We fear if i let go right now, would i see someone else to replace them? Where else do i find someone better than him/her. We are actually afraid of starting over, a new beginning. Hence our minds and heart interprets it as love or a feeling of not being able to let go.
I was once in a relationship of over three (3) years. And we had so many ups and down. We had issues of distance, money and so on. We even had breakups but somehow we manage to find ourselves back together only for us to have issues again. Now my reason for always going back to her was because i felt i am not an easy guy to deal with, my family is tough, its not going to be easy to find a girl that can cope with all my flaws and rules.
I was scared, scared i won't be able to start afresh with someone else, i felt its impossible to find someone like her, so i kept running back to her, i actually managed to decived my self that it was love. Now dont get me wrong i really did love her, and in most cases we actually love them but we should understand that in a relationship its not just about love, its not just about sacrifice, its not just the happiness of your partner, its also about you. What you want, your happiness. Love is beautiful, its also about forgiveness, understanding, commitment and willingness to sacrifice for the other and if you are not experiencing this in your relationship after many tries, then its best to let go.
We finally brokeup and it was like my world was coming to an end. It took me time to realize that i loved her yes, but i remained hoping she would understand me one day not just because of love, i took so many crap that i was not supposed to not just because of love but also because i was scared. Scared if i say my mind she wount agree, scared i wount be able to start over if she lets go, scared i may not be able to replace.
Ask yourself, the relationship i am in am i truly in love? If yes keep pushing dont give up. Or am i just scared?
A Day Never To Forget.
I still remember when i lost my dad, it was like my world ended. I come from a religious background, even when my dad started having complications with his liver, the funny part he does not drink nor smoke.
Tho i was still abit young, so i guess my family saw no need to actually tell me certain things in details. I had to put the pieces together. I had this belief that my dad was super human, i mean notting could bring him down, even when the doctors said he had just 3 months or 6 months tops to live, he kept on pushing for four (4) years, for once he never let the sickness stopped him from doing his duity as a father and a leader. Until the end came.
It got to a stage he could nolonger drive, the pains became intense, i never really understood back then, but now i realize that was his way of trying to protect me and my siblings, he never showed pain. I still remember while driving, he would stop along the way to get snacks or something for us or bathroom break. It was later on i finally understood those breaks he usually takes while driving somtimes was because the pains he was going through where so much he had to find somwhere to rest, but he would come back smiling, making us laugh why he went through pains.
i still remember how he loved cooking for my mom and siblings, i guess thats the reason i also enjoy cooking. Then the day finally came. The day i go to see my dad cry out of pain, lying down feeling weak, this was not the superman i knew, it was then i began to feel fear. He was rushed to the hospital and had to spend days there, i never got to see him, i was still abit young and had to go to school.
The news finally came some nites later from my mom, that my dad had finally passed on. I had never cried for the death of anyone before, even when my grandfather died. I tried to bring my self to tears but i just could not. I usually find it strange when i saw people crying.
That nite i saw my mom and siblings crying, before i knew it for the first time, tears began to drop, i could nolonger control it.. I always thought my dad could overcome it all, even when the doctors said 6 months, he stayed for 4 years. Four years of pains, but he still tried to make us happy.
Many times i think about him and wished i had more time with him. But i finally realized that is not about the period of time you spent with a person that matters, its the memories you make with them. No matter how short your time with them may be, it does not matter if you have not been able to fullfill your goals or dreams you have with them. But the little memories shared with them matters.
My dad made me realize that life is not just about your self and the things that makes you happy, life is also about making others happy. What will others know you for? A heart breaker? A cheat?
Or someone who loved others before himself, someone who would go through great lengths to make sure the next person is okay. My dad taught me that in life, one should never hurt anyone, if they keep hurting you, no problem, you are strong enough to withstand it, and always learn to forgive. When we forgive others does not make us soft or weak. The ability to forgive those that hurt us is a unique form of courage and inner strength.
Dealing with the lost of a loved on? Its going to be okay. Finding it hard to forgive? Let it go,
Cause in the end notting would come out of it all. I finally come to understand that life is not just about making it big or succeeding, its also about the process, the journey before the success, the lessons learnt from your mistakes and those who hurt you. There is always a lesson to learn from every decision or situations, be it good or bad. But we let our emotions blind us from actually seeing it.
How Do You Believe
***Matthew 8:5-13 KJV***
The story of the centurion does not only teach us about faith beyound expectation, it also shows a very important point. A point that many of us fail to notice.
The miracle went as the centurion wanted it. Not as Jesus want it or said it would be but as the centurion wanted it. The centurion was a man who understood what authority is and believed in the authority of Jesus, based on how he believed, he made his request known to God.
He believed that even without Jesus actually being in the same room or space with his servant the healing would manifest, he believed that all he needed was a word of authority from Jesus. And it would work.
How do you believe?
***Keypoint 🔑...***
The miracles and answers to our prayers we get today is still based on how we believe in God. We may not notice it but its true. You see certain people give testimonies on what God had done in their lives and you see your self wondering and finding it hard to believe that God can actually manifest His power in that way in this generation. And then we conclud that it's their faith at work.
It is not just the level of their faith at work, it is also based on how they believe in God, what they believe is possible when God is involved. How they believe it can be possible, their believe in God is not based on human logic.
i ***once heard a story of a Pastor who God told would preach in another country, now this is very possible if he had his passport and other travel documents but he had none. Beliving God, he went to the bathroom of an airport and began to pray, after some hours, he came out and found himself in the very country God told him he would preach and a car waiting for him. After his ministrations, he did the same thing and found himself back in his country. Impossible right?***
Now am not here to say this story is true or not, but the Keypoint is that the miracle became possible because he believed it would be possible
Many of us today limit God with our thinking... We claim to have faith that he can do anything and use anyone at anytime, yet we limit the process of how he does it. By saying okay God can do this for me but it can be done through this channel i dont think it can be done any other way. Our beliefs is based on human logic.
***How you believe in God deternines how he answers you.***
Many of us today, our problem is not our faith, because when we talk about faith, we have it. But our problem is How we believe. We tend to reason logically, God would do it in ways that are logical and understandable to man.
#remember....
If you worship God based on the belief of others you are totally wrong, as a Christian it would.
