Back to the Past: Stuttering/Stammering Moments Maybe most of you experienced stammer/stutter or bulol/utal (correct me if I'm wrong if this is the right term to use) when you're a kid. This is common among young kids which is a normal part when we grow. I remembered when I was a kid (4-6 yrs old), my mother told me I can't say the exact words I want to say and I change them to different words. An example is Tinapay (Bread) - I said as "Tapay". This is the reason I'm hard to communicate with my parents especially with my siblings and friends. When I played with my friends before they laughed at me because I repeat the sounds or makes sounds longer like "Dooooon't knooow". (They laughed but they have the same situation with me- mga bulol at utal din :P). I recalled also when my uncle visits our house, he always asks me to say the word "Kakansusan" but the problem is instead I say the exact word I change the letter "s" to "t" and the word became a censored word (Most of Filipinos know this word, I will not translate in English. YKWIM). Thanks to my uncle he always gives me 10 pesos when I say that word. Stuttering/Stammering moments have gone when I turned 7 yrs (mid 6) old which was mentioned by my mother. She told me it was gone when we visit my aunt's house and doing a superstitious belief. My aunt used a key with a spell and put it in my lips and rotate left like unlocking a padlock and speak some incantation words. I'm not sure if I believe this one but it's a superstitious belief passed by my ancestor. I know if we grow, we developed our speech and language abilities. It's common to the kids unless it became worst and stutter/stammer are still there even you're an adult now. It's better to consult a doctor or therapist about this medical condition. List of words which I stutter/stammer/change the word 1. Spoon (Kutsara) - Putap 2. Fork (Tinidor) - Undot 3. Cat (Pusa) - Puta 4. Armpit (Kili-Kili) - Tili-Tili 5. Later (Mamaya) - Mamaamaaaayyyaa 6. Single - Tingle 7. Report (Sumbong) - Tumbong 8. Fish (Isda) - Dada 9. Chicken (Manok) - Putak 10. Teacher - TTTTTTeacher and Many More. I will not mention it because it's too many to lists.
