Looks like some people are confused about the launch of SmartBCH today. They think it was complete and ready to use bridges and exchanges and some talking about connecting to Metamask as mainnet. The one which is launch today is Bitcoin Cash (BCH) Sidechain and the BCH-SmartBCH bridge is not up yet. It was also mentioned by Kui Wang in Telegram Channel that cross-chain bridges, browsers, wallets, DApps, and exchanges are not ready now and it will be added soon. About the bridging, the team will try a simple cross-chain bridge with CoinFLEX for testing. Just wait and have patience. It's a step by step in building smartBCH and also we need the cooperation of the BCH community too.

Can you explain what’s smartBCH, sidechain, bridges mean in layman’s term? Like a lesson for dummies. I wanna get involved but I feel like I’ll fry my brains in the process without some input from others.
Let's talk first about the sidechain. It is a secondary blockchain connected to the Main blockchain but the operation is independent like privacy, security, and functions Bridge is a link for the transfer of data or tokens from one chain to another chain smartBCH is a sidechain of Bitcoin cash that has EVM and web 3.0. If you have an idea about Metamask like BSC and other networks, the users and devs have an access to Dapps. Hope my commet answer your question. Not sure if my comment is the best answer for it.
To understand what sidechain is, you need to know what Bitcoin Cash blockchain is. Do you know what it is?
