It’s A Beetle 🪲 Just spotted this tiny black beetle on a leaf and was gutted that I don’t have my macro lens on me. I had to zoom right in to get this photo and it came out better than expected, not as clear as it would be with the macro lens but pretty decent.

The Hunt For Lost Earrings So Sophie decided to take all her earrings with her to the swimming pool then reached in her bag to find they had fallen out of the packet. So Sophie and dad had to stop while she hunted through her bag to find them. Only took ten minutes but all earrings were accounted for 😂

Dinner Guest We have a very friendly squirrel 🐿 living in the trees behind our villa who has been coming up to the patio doors for biscuits. He’s not at all scared of us and quite happy to pose for a photo. It didn’t take him long at all to polish off the biscuits we put out for him then he was off into the trees.

Off To The Pool We are heading to the swimming pool ready for a morning swim, the suns shining bright and it’s warm already, looks like it will be a lovely day.

Good Morning From Longleat The sun is up and the sky a stunning blue, we’re off for a early morning swim to get our last full day at Centreparcs started. Hopefully the weather will stay nice and sunny and we will get a full day of outdoor fun. Wishing everyone a blessed and fun day filled with love and happiness.

Game For A Laugh Well we have just tried to play football (soccer to my American cousins) pool, it’s basically an oversized pool table with the pool balls replaced with footballs, and as you can see you kick the balls instead of using a cue. It’s is hilarious to play and not easy at all, directing footballs around the table never seems to go to plan. Who ever came up with this game must have been drinking at the time as it’s totally crazy but it is good fun and we would definitely play again if we got the chance.

Who Needs To Walk When You Have A Slave Dotty has reached her walking limit earlier after over 5km of exploring centreparcs so he sat down and waited for her slave, miss Sophie to pick her up. In all fairness to Dotty she does have super small legs and had walked a lot during the day so having a carry was fair and she was soon back down walking again not long after this photo.

Llama Cake Time So it was Lilys 13th birthday yesterday and she loves anything to do with animals, especially Llamas and Sloths, so of course her birthday cake had to be one of those two. After a lot of searching I eventually found her this Llama cake and she just loves it, I must say it tasted as good as it looked so all the family enjoyed it as much as Lily lol. It’s so nice that both Lily and her older sister Sophie are still so young at heart and not the normal stroppy teenagers, they make for great friends as well as fantastic daughters.

Just Don’t Ask Lol Well ok as you asked, when we arrived at centreparcs for the start of our vacation, Sophie and Lily decided to do face masks, and make themselves look like Fiona from Shrek! The cucumber was then added for comical effect and so they could pose for the silly photo of them lying together.

Sand is Fun So Dotty got to experience sand for the first time this week and she absolutely loved it. She’s just kept sprinting up and down the beach, diving into the soft sand and flicking it everywhere. As you can see by the time we got her off the beach she had covered her face is sand, it was so so cute

Happy Birthday Lily It’s our youngest daughter Lilys birthday today, she’s hit the teenage years and is the grand old age of 13. She’s had a lot of battles over the years with being horns prematurely and recently diagnosed with autism. She’s a wonderful little person who love animals and has a huge heart.

Chilling By The Pool We are currently away on vacation and the girls are having some swim time while I chill in the sun. The pool here which is called the tropical swimming paradise, has a big indoor area and small outdoor pool and deck. Inside is mega hot and as it’s a sunny day I’ve come outside to enjoy the sun and surrounding nature. It’s not a bad way to waste a could of hours while the family has fun and burns off some energy.

Firing Up The Grill You can’t beat flame kidded meat, from a chargrilled juicy burger to a yummy bit of belly pork, there is something very special about meat cooked over a flame. I do love a bbq, as do all the family and with such a warm day today it was a must to have a bbq and boy was it good. Sorry for lack of food photos, it all went super fast, but these flames are pretty cool don’t you think?

Another fun macro this time getting up close to some cool red leaves 🍁 I love the level of detail you can see in these two photos, it’s super cool.

Macro Caterpillar 🐛 Just spotted this colourful and very cool caterpillar in my in-laws back garden and I just had to get some macro photos of this cool little critter. I love how you can see the details of the caterpillars face and all the hairs on its back, it really is awesome zooming in on bugs like this caterpillar 🐛

Smoke It Up We had the incense burner on tonight, it has smoke waterfall which can be seen in the second photo. As the smoke was collecting at the bottom of the incense cone I decided to grab the macro lens and snap a close up and boy did it give a cool photo.

Working 9 Till 5 Little miss Dotty has set herself up in a comfy spot on my desk as I watch a webinar. She really likes to rest on my desk and be close while I work, and to be fair to her she is very good. I have to say tiny dogs are certainly the best and they make fantastic company at work.

Best Friend Ever Dotty has be right beside me over the last year and a half as I went through surgery and a diagnosis for multiple sclerosis. She was first to me when I collapsed in November 2020 and has been by my side ever since. Whenever I’m sad or not feeling good she is straight there, either with a toy to play or for a cuddle, she just amazing and a really life saver for sure.

Butter Cup After The Rain I’ve just come out to have a quick walk between the rain storms and spotted these buttercups peppered with raindrops. The weather here today is very grey and wet so seeing these pretty little flowers brought a smile to my face, I do love nature.

Lazy Sunday Dotty has decided that she is having a lazy Sunday and while the rest of the family rise and start the day she is going to nap on the bed. Dogs do love a lazy day once in a while, she had an active Saturday so it’s fair she has a lazy Sunday.

Therapy Dog Time Dotty is sat with Lily doing her therapy dog job, bringing lots of chilled vibes and love. Dotty is so sweet and likes to keep people calm and happy, she’s like an angel on dog form.

Chinese Feast Just finished cooking dinner for the family and tonight we are having Chinese food. We have prawn toast, spring roll, lemon chicken, crispy chilly beef, beef in black bean, duck noodles, sweet n sour chicken and egg fried rice, boy that a lot of yummy food.

Time For A Spot Of Sunbathing The sun is beaming through the back door and Dotty has decided to settle herself on a nice warm spot of floor as the sun beams down on here. Like most dogs she really does love the sun and of course the vitamin D is good for all animals so she gets to lie in the warm sun and helps keep herself healthy.

Time To Watch Some Dogs On TV Dotty is chilling on the sofa watching a dog program after a long day at work making people smile and giving doggy hugs. She’s got into watching animal programs recently and loves to end the day chilling on the sofa.

Corporate Puppy I had a brain fog moment first thing this morning and completely forgot to take Dotty's lead with us to work so we had to make one using a couple of lanyards. She’s always been the office therapy dog, but now she has herself a corporate lead for when we go for our lunchtime walks, mind I think I will only use it on the days I forget to take her extending lead as it’s a bit short and she can’t go off exploring that easily.

A Much Needed Pickmeup It’s been a hectic morning at work so ok this coffee was very much needed and tasted so so good.

The Perfect Omelette Oh my god, what an amazing omelette I cooked up at lunchtime today, making it nice and thin and using mozzarella cheese instead of cheddar cheese worked a treat. Normally I would use three eggs not two to make the omelette thinker and fluffier but going thin made it so much tastier and I will be going thin in the future.

Alien Flower I spotted this very strange purple and white flower while out walking with Dotty at lunchtime, it’s not like a normal flower kind of alien in appearance don’t you think. Most of the flowers on the plant had wintered or were still in bud with this one of the few in full bloom, I guess the British weather doesn’t agree with these flowers.

Tiny Paw Prints 🐾 As we always do on a office day Dotty and I took a walk in the park at lunchtime, it had been raining in the morning so she decided to play in the damp grass and sniff the new smells. As she rejoined me on the path she left these teeny tiny paw 🐾 prints, she has the smallest paws I’ve ever seen on a dog and it was so cute seeing the little wet marks she left on the path.
