Whiskers In The Wind In my life which I faced heatedly. Five years ago, I met a small brown cat with deep, knowing eyes and a mischievous grin. I named him Toby. From the moment he rubbed against my leg and looked up like he understood everything, I knew he was special. He used to play with me when I remain home. In my leisure time, Reading books, watching TV, Toby remai close to me. Toby wasn’t just smart—he was human. He'd meow like he was giving advice. He waited for me by the door every day, guarded my sadness like a knight, and purred like a lullaby when I couldn’t sleep. He’d nudge my phone away when I worked too long and remind me to just… be present. But time has its ways. One cold evening, Toby lay quieter than usual. His breaths shallow, his eyes softer. The vet said it was a rare illness, something we couldn’t fight. Toby passed away in my arms. It felt like a part of my heart had been scratched out, slowly and deeply. The house was quiet. No paws. No purrs. Just memories. Now, every breeze that brushes past me feels like his whiskers in the wind. And I smile. But I still hurt.
