Been watching YouTube videos of really poor countries. It seems there is a common theme. These countries are always in war or some forms of conflicts or corruption. By preventing these 3 things, it seems to me that a country can't help but be prosperous. Unfortunately, this seems to be much easier said than done.

I'm starting this year by simplifying my life as much as possible. This means as little possession as possible without impact to my happiness. Time to get rid of my unnecessary stuff and focus more on things that matter in my life (eg. Good health/mental wellbeing, good relationships with people, wonderful experiences, continue learning about Spanish and Investing, working on Bitcoin Cash projects, etc). I had been so ignorant and inside a bubble all my life. Due to my…

When the government didn't manage the crisis well, somehow it is the people's fault that they are not vaccinated. I don't think I have heard about how the government accepted responsibility for screwing up the economy and the mental wellbeing of the people. For me, it is one thing not to accept responsibility for your mistakes and quite another to blame the whole situation on other people and instead of uniting the country, you are now dividing people into segregation…

I am in love with Latin America. Beautiful people and beautiful culture. I only have good words for the people I met in Latin America.

Just watched "Mar Adentro". It's a very touching movie and based on the real life story of a paralyzed guy. Watching the movie also helps to put our lives in perspective and appreciate the simple little things. It also reminds me of something very scary, which is that some people currently in coma are fully aware and able to hear/understand what's going on, but appeared to be entirely unresponsive. The only way to know that they are actually still there is looking at their…

The moment I was born, I hit Jackpot. I wasn't born in a slum where it is difficult to get out of poverty. I wasn't born in a country ravaged by wars where one has to worry about survival every single day. I wasn't born in a village where literacy is a luxury. I have said that I am a very happy and probably one of the most positive person in the world. Tell me, how can I not be? I did not obtain what I have because I was smart nor hardworking. I got it because I was…

I just ate the worst tasting sandwich ever in my life, courtesy of the Los Angeles Airport. The pain is exacerbated by the cost of the sandwich, which is around $12 USD. That sandwich taste so bad one would expect to be paid just to bite into it. And that is further exacerbated by the extremely rude airline counter lady in the same LA Airport. My rating for LA Airport is 1 out of 10. They (the rude airline lady and all assholes working in the LA airport) can eat my shit and…

The only person that I have to outcompete is myself. I have to become better today than the person I was yesterday.

Was watching a movie today and I really like this quote. "You have to accept life's difficulties with good humor because they come and go." Sometimes, I wonder about the ant. From the ant's perspective, it may see itself as the center of the Universe. But when we look at the ant, we know it's not, in fact some of us might think that the ant is insignificant. We step on it and it's gone, like it has never existed. That thought has been in my mind for some time because when I…

One of the things that really surprised me in my crypto journey is how difficult the journey can be to do the right thing and be a decent human being. It is a no-brainer choice that when you can choose between something that scales vs one that doesn't scale, you would choose the one that scales. It is truly amazing how censorships and propaganda work, and at times disappointing to see how people lost their moral compass when they could have done the right thing.

FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) is a very powerful emotion. Here's my secret to becoming immune to FOMO. Bankruptcy. Can't FOMO when I'm already bankrupt, lol.
