I've just discovered this beautiful sunset on one of my afternoon walks around the neighborhood last year. We've just moved into this new place in the biggest barangay in the Philippines and so needed to roam around to get acquainted and be familiarized with our surroundings. The sunset here was really stunningly golden..! But I was a bit disappointed because I couldn't see it clearly due to the obstructions infront of me. You see, there were electric cables and wires dangling everywhere. I wasn't able to get a good shot either. However, I've attempted to counteract these impediments to my view by blocking the negativity that arose within my mind so that I could at least enjoy the beauty of the sundown. I took several deep breaths and dreamily imagined myself atop a hill overlooking a blue ocean with a clear wide view of the dazzling sky with the sun sinking below the horizon beaming radiantly! Yay, it somehow worked... Then I was just being grateful that, despite the urbanization of this hilly place, natural wonders of God's creation still existed to fascinate us everyday. That no matter what man does to the environment, cutting down trees, dumping garbage into rivers, and building houses all over the place that become overcrowded... Nature's true beauty cannot be concealed. Just like in real life, goodness always prevails and triumphs over evil.
