On the other side of the stethoscope. Good day fellow Noisers! Let me continue my journey with these throwback family pics. Thanks for @Leeart for giving me a view of what to write. Yay, honestly, I didn't know what to write next, lots of things were popping out of my mind, just like the "Jill of all trades, master of none" me personality 😉. So if you see my bio, that's only a few of the things that interest me, the long list isn't enough for the space. They said that being a "Jill…" is the worst personal brand according to Forbes. Yeah, maybe because you won't have focus on one area and things will get tangled up and in the end you'll be caught doing nothing at all. However, the good thing is, no matter what, despite my multiple passions, I'm still that one person that I am, that is "being a mom." Yeah, the summation of all, no more no less. And I love being it so! It just fits my username, Mitochondria. I've been using that since time immemorial in all my social media accounts and email addresses. And being in the medical field, I thought that could be a unique nickname to attract attention and amuse non-medical folks. Well, The popular quote that says, "mothers are the light of the home" quite goes true. Just as we all know, mitochondria are the power houses of the cell to provide energy, without them the cell limps. So as moms, like the mighty mitochondria, are the sources of enlightenment and strength in the home. You see they're the ones too who cook the food for the entire family. Without them, the home will have power outages, and family members become weak and sick. Another attribute of mitochondria that's fascinating is that they're most abundant in the heart muscle. The heart never stops pumping, hence it needs tremendous amount of energy to do so. In like manner, mothers pour out so much love and affection . Their heart is forgiving, kind and patient. Without them, the home will be engulfed with hatred and bitterness. And the most marvelous of it all, is that the mitochondrial DNA or gene is only passed down by the mother to her children. And though, mothers transmit it to both sons and daughters, only the daughters are able to transmit the inherited mitochondria to future generations. So you see, nothing can really replace a "mother". Without her, there will never be strong and happy families raised . She is the only one who can perform her role. So mommies out there, let's just love and take care of ourselves because our families need us. We shouldn't be insecure for being a "stay at home mom". Career oriented or home bound, we're just the same.. as the "power sources" of our homes. So, hurray and cheers to all of us!
