Hello fellow Noises! Sharing with you today these pics of a cumulonimbus cloud. These were taken last year on our apartment's roof deck on one of our afternoon musings. We were waiting for the sunset when on the northern part of the Metro there appeared a big lone cloud. At first, it looks like a white cottony ship floating in the sky. Afterward, after sunset, the color turned gray, and even from afar, we could see the rain started falling from it. Then lightning began flashing around. It was awe-striking to behold such a natural event. My clicker frenzy finger didn't think twice to document it and immortalized it on the gallery of my smartphone. It reminded me of an American folklore, Paul Bunyan, and the Baby Rainstorm which I read as a child from 70 Favorite Stories of the Reader's Digest. It just looked like the cute fluffy cloud in the story. However, the cloud there when it rained was no ordinary, the rain fell up, unlike the normal way that it falls. The story goes, Paul Bunyan, discovered the baby cloud to be trapped on a rock, hence helping it out and releasing it into the sky. What a cute story, don't you think?
